i looked at this a coupple times and it really wasnt the horses faults. its the rider . either they made the horse go to fast or the horse came into the jump from the circle. you need to know your horse like its your bestfriend and have a relationship with you and so its comfortable with you before you do competitions like these , the horses here are not trained as well as they should be for this kind of competition's and that high of jumpig is redic because you expeect too much of them ,

ya but if u jump higher u and the horse a higher chance of falling harder or landing wrong but logs they are close to the ground u still would have a chance to fall but the chances are low because horses usely walk over them

well she did this for like a week i finally had enough so the last time she came up to me and started bagging on him i punched her she started coming towards me and said " you better watch out" i laughed and said i've had a face of with a 1,000 pound horse you don't scare me :)
once when I was jumping my horse got really frisky and started to buck and I guess you never really understand the horses real power until moments like that and you truely appreicate them
hahahahaha i do alot of this since i`m only just starting jumping, one time i forgot to tow point so when my horse jutted out her nose i summersaulted off her over her her neack and her head into the next jump, i felt fine so kept riddin and i was sor about hafl an hour after ridding i felt so stiff in my shpoulder blades i couldn`t move my arms

Riding is NOT easy!!! I have been riding for almost 6 years and I don't mean to brag, but I am good but I do not have the guts of those people who jump that HIGH! PLus if you have not had a lot of experience when you first get on a horse it can hurt your leg muscles and work them really HARD!!! HORSE RIDING IS NOT EASY!

I don't understand why people still hold onto the reins even through they are falling over the horses head its not like it will stop them from falling off...
@klowiie16 most of the time its coz they just happen to be hanging on to them and dont think about letting go. other times its coz they're hanging on to something for dear life and unfortunately it happens to be the reains rather than a chunk of mane and others do it to hold on to their horses once they're grounded so that the horse doesnt bolt off or do something stupid etc. i hope this helps :)

okay... well, if you HAVE rode and still dont think it's a sport, try mucking a stall! Riding is a sport, however--- it's much different than most! There is Show Jump, Barrol Racing, Dressage, Hunter, Fox Hunting, Polocrosse... AND MORE! Plus there is the whole responsibility, and the educational part of it! Like what to look for if the horse is sick, or how to clip them, or how to clean a stall, or how to cool them down after a hard work out... so to those who dont think it's a sport, learn it!
If you watch, many of the horses that knock over a pole kick out or shake their heads afterwards. Sometimes it seems as if they're going, "Dang it! Missed!" Many horses honestly enjoy what they're doing, a fine example being the racing filly Zenyatta. Watch her run, and you'll see that she runs with her ears pricked forward, eyes focused.
Finally! Some videos instead of picturess.... but anyway horseback isnt ez at all!!! occasionaly u get that one horse who will do anything for you but i still hate it when ppl say, "all u have to do is get on the horse, tell it to go, and steer it, its that simple..." its like.... wow.... obviously you have never really seen horseback riding..

@leeleeebabesxxx lol wont injure them. Do you really think taking them round gallops isnt going to injure them? LOVE the plan though. Just be careful after all theyre your friends and you can get some nasty injuries from falling off horses. Plus theyre gonna have no balance so they wont go with the horse and they will bounce right out of their seat! let me know how it goes ;) lol xx

The only probelm with horses bucking and refusal is either they dnt like jumping or the rider cant count the horses strides. People need to go with their horse over the jump not telling thier horse to jump at a certain point enless you knwo for sure its right.

at 2:00 that was amazing but i think the horse was more impressive then the rider, seen has he just carried on and jumped the jump without being flustered bout the rider hanging of him sideways

I hate this!! Every year, they bring the jumps higher and higher and work them harder and harder! Then they work them at such young ages!!

@Shikyo9 i agree, most people, say riding is easy, meaning sitting on a horse, yea, nearly anyone can just sit on a horse,
but actually riding in the style that we ride, we use muscles, that other people have probably never worked before in their life, its like, i went skiing for the first time, was in pain for the next 2 days, different sports, use different muscles, and require different skills =)

i ride & i fell off a couple of weeks ago! when i ride i am not scared incase i fall off but if the ponie falls or something & it hurts itself or if i hurt it! i love riding & i always will! xxxx of course it is a sport for all those that say it isnt! xxx

totally agree! horses are animals 10 times bigger than us . Horsebackriding is too a sport cuzz if it wasnt it wouldnt be in the olympics. Its not as easy as it looks

haha, I hate when you meet someone who forexample does cross coutry skiing or football, and they just laugh when you say you ride, and that it´s actually very hard...i wish i could put them on a horse and just tell them to do what i do on riding...this video is very well made :D

That guy at 1:00 was funny! He was holding on to the horses neck one second and the next he was sitting perfict in the saddle and patted the horse on the head,LOL! Now he is a good sport, most guys would have wacked the horse in the head for that (I like him)

Riding is NOT easy!!! I have been riding for almost 6 years and I don't mean to brag, but I am good but I do not have the guts of those people who jump that HIGH! PLus if you have not had a lot of experience when you first get on a horse it can hurt your leg muscles and work them really HARD!!! HORSE RIDING IS NOT EASY!

it pisses me off tht my friends think riding is easy so i told them to jump 8 ft like i do and all of them fell right off (4 of my friends) and my horse isnt bad he can be but....so i got on him and i diddnt get bucked of and my friends said "riding is easy for u..." wen it isnt man ppl piss me off these days they think ridings easy but its not....i fell off and broke my leg and sprained my wrist....and they still think its easy...............

@klowiie16 most of the time its coz they just happen to be hanging on to them and dont think about letting go. other times its coz they're hanging on to something for dear life and unfortunately it happens to be the reains rather than a chunk of mane and others do it to hold on to their horses once they're grounded so that the horse doesnt bolt off or do something stupid etc. i hope this helps :)

my friends who havent ridden say horseback riding is a piece of cake im just starting lesson but ive been riding before and i fell right off and hit my shoulder i came to school with a sling from falling off one they all asked what happened i just said "i told u riding isnt easy"

okay... well, if you HAVE rode and still dont think it's a sport, try mucking a stall! Riding is a sport, however--- it's much different than most! There is Show Jump, Barrol Racing, Dressage, Hunter, Fox Hunting, Polocrosse... AND MORE! Plus there is the whole responsibility, and the educational part of it! Like what to look for if the horse is sick, or how to clip them, or how to clean a stall, or how to cool them down after a hard work out... so to those who dont think it's a sport, learn it!

If you watch, many of the horses that knock over a pole kick out or shake their heads afterwards. Sometimes it seems as if they're going, "Dang it! Missed!" Many horses honestly enjoy what they're doing, a fine example being the racing filly Zenyatta. Watch her run, and you'll see that she runs with her ears pricked forward, eyes focused.

No horseback riding is NOT easy, it's very difficult and extremely dangerous! AND i HATE it when people say horseback riding is not a sport, that pisses me off to no end and is one thing that will send me into a VERY long rant i hate it soooo much :/

lol i wouldnt worry about people saying tha equstrianism isnt a sport, i have a lot of male friends that dont even beleive riding a horse is EXCERCISE. They literally think its sitting on the horses back, giving it a tap and then yaking the reins around to tell it which way to go. I would love to have a horse of my own just so they can get on it and be proven wrong!!

when i started riding my mum thought it was just sitting on a horse kicking and pulling the reins right and left... people dont realise until they can actually ride how hard it is... my friends think it's easy to jump and ride bareback ans stuff like that... they dont beleive how hard it is... i'm gonna take em riding on my irthday and take em at full gallop across a feild and over some jumps... that'll show em (i wont injure em like ;) x ) great vid x

@leeleeebabesxxx lol wont injure them. Do you really think taking them round gallops isnt going to injure them? LOVE the plan though. Just be careful after all theyre your friends and you can get some nasty injuries from falling off horses. Plus theyre gonna have no balance so they wont go with the horse and they will bounce right out of their seat! let me know how it goes ;) lol xx

The only probelm with horses bucking and refusal is either they dnt like jumping or the rider cant count the horses strides. People need to go with their horse over the jump not telling thier horse to jump at a certain point enless you knwo for sure its right.
