  • @ryukenosuke thanks. sorry I wasn't able to respond until now.

  • Could you do a tut for gormet race from kirby superstar ultra?

  • Check out my video "Kirby's Dreamland Tutorial on piano keyboard"

  • @ryukenosuke You. Millions of people are such a-holes when they are corrected, but you decided to thank instead of hate. Btw great job this tut is great.

  • Rock on. ( : Thanks for the praise. Hehehe

  • heey ;) this tutorial rocks. I can finaly play it. but i cant find forest stage. Can you make a tutorial of forest stage? ill sub if you do

  • I'll have to look into it. I don't recall which song that is, but I'm sure I could learn it to make a tutorial.

  • 5:16 : The chord is actually called "a flat". And actually it is not a chord, but an octave.

The tonality is Emajor or Cminor, so the chord would be an A flat major.

But all in all a great tutorial. It is easy to learn and sounds fantastic.

    Thx. and *thumbs up*.

  • Great! Thanks for the clarification. I haven't taken lessons, so it's been mostly guesses at the note and chord names. I just hoped to give people a "basic" understanding of the songs that I record tutorials for. ^_^

  • @ryukenosuke ON the correction, I appreciate the non-ass response.

  • Not sure I quite understand who you're talking to, Ryan. Me or ProLow?

  • You are very welcome. ^_^

  • I just started trying to learn piano, and although I'm alright with playing one hand, when I try using two, even if it's just one note with my left hand, and a melody with my right, it screws up. I mean, I start a single note, but when comes the time to do something else, I lose my first note completely. Is it normal to start out like this? Does playing with both hands work itself with time, and is there some exercise I could do to overcome that?

    Please answer my worried question!

  • That is perfectly normal. I used to be the same way. Playing with both hands will come in time. A good way to practice it is to just press a single key each beat of a 4/4 measure. You don't have to change notes. Just keep doing that, and while you are trying to keep tempo with that left hand, try to do 8th notes with your right hand. The pattern should be like this. LR, R, LR, R, LR, R, LR, and so on. L means left hand, and R means right hand.

  • A good way to do this so it doesn't sound bad, just play a C note with your left hand, and a C note one octave up with your right hand, and follow the pattern I just gave you.

That can help you get used to using both hands at the same time, and having each hand play something different at the same time.

  • @ryukenosuke Thanks a lot! As soon as I start practicing again tomorrow, I'll immediately start with that exercise and try to keep it like that every time I play. I hope I'll be able to play Green Greens and other tunes of the like as good as you can one day =)

  • you have really long fingers:P

  • All the better to poke you with. Muahahaha.

^_^ They certainly help, though, with playing the piano.

  • @ryukenosuke they sure do

  • FINALLY a good tutorial thx

  • you can do jungle groove of donkey kong pleace thanks

  • That's a very complicated song. It doesn't have a melody to really follow, and it is comprised of so many instruments, it will be difficult to reduce it to just the piano. I'll consider it, but I can't say yes or no, yet.

  • @ryukenosuke thanks ;)

  • thanks i always wanted to learn this

  • Sure thing. ( :

  • Ur the greatest piano teacher out ther others just play it and expect us to catch up and some play so fast i dont know what notes they are playing thanx :D

  • Hahaha, thanks for the compliment. I'm glad my video was able to help you out.

  • u rock dude thanks so much!

  • Sure thing. ( :

  • LOVE ALL OF UR TUTORIALS

  • They certainly help the community. ( :

  • If you learn the song, good job to you, as well. ^_^

  • So the ladies tell me. ( ;

Hehehe, I'm glad you liked this.

  • hahah......

  • thanks this is great i suscribed u

  • Oh, woot! Thanks. ( :

  • THANKS!!!!!!

  • ANYTIME!!!!!!

    ( ;

  • COOL DOOD!!!! but the begging was not right

  • Yea, I know. The real song goes up a little higher in the beginning than I do. I'm glad you liked it, though. ( :

  • the beginning is wrong. o-o even if its by ear, it doesnt sound right in the beginning.

  • Yea, it's my own version. All of my songs have my own little twists in them.

  • play alittle slower next time u make a vid

  • Sorry about that. I was trying to fit it all within the youtube time limit for vids. I'll probably just make 2 part tutorials, from now on.

  • why the fuck does no1 put the notes in the info box its well eisier with that

  • Because I cannot read music...so I don't know the notes.

Is that a good enough reason for you?

  • yes ty i understand. i sometimes get stuck too lol

  • Yea, not being able to read sheet music can be a hindrance, but it isn't horribly detrimental.

    I make do. Hehehe.

  • Sry but havent visited your channel to look for answers but how do you learn songs? Ear, sheet music, tutors, piano teachers, ect.? I have a few other questions but it depends on your answer. I'm on my Wii and can't rly go to your channel until I'm done typing this comment. Also, great tutorial. I stopped at some points to try to learn by ear then came back and turns out I got it right. 5/5 + sub.

  • I, also, learn by ear. I cannot read music and have had no training by tutors nor teachers. The easiest way to learn by ear is to listen to a song until the primary melody gets stuck in your head and you can hum it perfectly. If you can get the melody and bass stuck in your head simultaneously, that's even better. NEways, simply hum it while trying to match notes on the piano/keyboard. This method works for any instrument. ( :

  • I learn by ear too (But judging how you said you played by ear I think you knew that already). Ear is how I learned all the songs I know... Cept maybe a few songs like this one because I had to learn by tutorial. I don't hum the notes but I sound it out on the piano. Frankly, the more I try to learn a song by ear the more I can't get it. It just comes naturally when I'm playing a song and I find notes that sound like a song I know.

  • thats the same way i learned 2. i cant read lyrics so i recur 2 whistlin 4 rememberin music

  • I got the same keyboard!

  • It's a great keyboard, isn't it?

  • yeah! i love those keyboards! we have them in school and my friend has one :D

  • Even though it's an oldie, this happens to have some of the best sounding tones that I know. Even when compared to new Yamaha keyboards of today.

  • Finally something new about N/A

  • Huh? N/A? Not Applicable? North America? No Answer? Not Any? Not Actual?

    I'm confuzzled...

  • fast fast fast but very gooooooood

    5 stars

  • ^-^ Thanks for the stars. I suppose I could have cut this into 2 videos...but figured that'd be more annoying than a quicker tutorial.

  • dude this is way to fast for me to learn T_T but good tutorial T_T

  • I'm sorry. I had to do it slightly quickly to stay within the 10min video limit that Youtube has set in place. I'd recommend watching the different sections multiple times to commit it to memory.

  • awesome. thanks man. I'm transfering this into guitar.

  • waaaaay too fast!

  • Hahaha, tempo was never my strong point. Thanks, though, for letting me know. ^-^

  • is there anyway you can put this as a music sheet? like u know... much easier than seeing the video...press....seeing the video....press and its hard to remember...

  • Unfortunately, I cannot read/write music.

  • ...Nevermind on the last comment I made on the fountain of dreams. I spoke too soon. This is GREAT!

  • Hehehe, no worries. I'm glad you liked it.

  • Thx for uplaoding i try to learn but 4.27 Its to fast T_T

  • At 4:27, I was just demonstrating what the song sounds like when I play it. I played it slower and with single notes before that for actual teaching purposes. Good luck to you. ( :

  • hey tthx man!

  • Sure thing. ( :

  • omg yes i have been waiting for this!!!!!!

    ty

  • You're very welcome. I'm glad that my skills can help those around me. ^-^

  • Thanks! love your videos. play the piano myself and im quite good. your versions of the songs are so simple but still really really good, much better than the real ones.

    Oh, first comment!

  • Hehehe, thanks. ( :
