This was pretty much the only song of Styx's 90's tunes I ever truly loved. You'd better keep some Kleenex handy if you must hear "Love At First Sight", because it's quite a tearjerker.
Wow...finally found this video that i've been looking for a long time...the story in the song is really going on in my life...fell in love with a girl when in junior high school back in 1990, going out, then we split up for some reason ... years later we meet again...she's now my wife...love you, dian.
Cause you aren't quite the fan you claim to be?? LOL, JJ.......I just heard "Why Me" for the first time a few months ago....and I thot I heard all Styxx had done.
I remember when this happen to me at my sister's wedding....a look from you ,a glance from me ,our eyes met like thunder and lightning-----Do you remember it Debbie ?
Very first CD I ever bought when CDs started to faze cassettes. This song had a super-catchy-feel-good tune and I am SOOO glad I went digital. Just don't think tape would've captured all the energy of this music.
Amazing voice of Dennis DeYoung! but I agree with you veronica16841 I think that it would also sound great to hear this song with Tommy Shaw! I cant imagine this song singed by Lawrence Gowan
I have to agree that it's a very POWERFULL SONG & TOUCHING LIRYCS, it really bring some memories of my oun to heard this song cause its very true! it is a great great song BUT! even I agree that it's a very GReat song on my oun personal opinion Doesn't sound like STYX this is not STYX, it would be perfect if this song were from other NEW band BUT defenetly Deyoung, Shaw, J.Young and the original STYX is one and ever be One & only STYX
Man I miss Dennis DeYoung's voice. I heard them in concert a few months ago, and hearing Lawrence Gowan sing Dennis parts was strange. They were great in concert, don't get me wring, but I really wish i had been alive when they toured with Dennis, Tommy, JY, Chuck, and John; the Caught in the Act DVD doesn't do the concert experience justice.
If you're reading Tommy and JY, please bring Dennis back for another tour, and please come to the Jones Beach Theater!
It has always been you. From the first time I saw your face. You and I are the rare ones that have this happen. No doubt we will last a lifetime, dreaming of you even when you are gone only minutes. James to Rhames.
I'm right with you, lurch321! I still vividly remember the day I bought this album and only having heard "Love is the Ritual" Upon listening for the first time, I knew "Show the the Way" had #1 potential and felt this this song should have been top ten! The lyric and performance of "Love at First Sight" is still fresh after two decades and moves me still to this day!
Glen Burtnick joining Styx is like Trevor Rabin joining Yes both were songwriters and singers but had tough shoes to follow Trevor replaced Steve Howe and Glen replaced Tommy Shaw.
Too bad the Styx we know and love won't perform this song again... because Dennis DeYoung sang lead on it originally, and as of 1999, Dennis and the rest of Styx went their separate ways after he unsuccessfully tried to force them to delay the tour until he recovered from his eye problems.
definitely one of styx's greatest songs. i wish it had just as much publicity as show me the way. i never thought of seeing a video to this song in my life!
If you want to make a DVD, that requires a download of a video converter. Do a search on converting FLV to MPG or AVI. You have to convert an FLV(flash video/youtube video) to MPEG or AVI. Usually, if you don't pay for these - they put their company logo in the middle of the screen on playback. If you pay (usually$20), it will look as good as the Youtube file after you burn the DVD.
Thank you Thank you Thank you and Thank you a million times more. This is one of my favorite Styx songs of all time. I know this song was a hit so I knew there had to be a video for it. Thanks again
i wrote the words to this song on a piece of paper and left it on the windshield of a car belonging to a women who i thought was just so beautiful. Jody Nicholson i hope life has been good to you.
that is a great song the cd is good

Great track off of a great Styx album. A travesty that it only reached #30 on the Billboard chart. This should have been a top 10 hit hands down!
