  • Who ever was inserting the drum magazine into the gun is an idiot! Every piece of literature I have ever read about the Thompson says to be sure to insert the drum 'ONLY' from the left hand side of the gun because doing so from the right can seriously damage the drum! And given the relative scarcity of the 100 rounders you risk damaging a very valuable item. Oy Veh!

  • Hope u guys know thatas not the real fpsrussia. He doesnt have caps in his username...

  • Man they ain't old. They just need to do some more weight training and they would carry the Thompson and its 100 rounder drum as a small toddler.

  • Idk why terrorists don't use this instead of the ak

  • @MrDSty1113 man you're an idiot. SERIOUSLY WHO ASKS THAT. AK-47 7.62. VERY reliable. Thompson SUBMG .45 effective range around 50 to 70 meters. How much AK? eh couple of hundred meters.

  • @FPSrUSSRia ok jeez.. im like joking anyways. cuz i know that if the ak can be comapared to the m4/m16 than obviously its better than the thompson. my point was just that considering the time it was made its kickass

  • @MrDSty1113 and the Thompson aren't in full time production as it was back time. AK is still being produced everywhere

  • Ah! An American classic! You are one of the few on YouTube who actually know how to safely and properly handle a firearm.

  • I would perfer to see full auto though.

  • Burst firing is more accurate and doesn't overheat the barrel.

  • @xXxn0lan531xXx overheating will occur with the 100 drum mag thats why he is burst firing it, this weapon is authentic, if you try a replica it is less likely to overheat, but I prefer the original

  • No recoil an the sound is so low as a supressor .. awesome weapon even if it's old school.

  • @ThexXxMatthewxX

well, some recoil because of the drum's weight, try with a normal clip, it does not have a spring stock so there's definitely recoil, even with the drum

  • sounds wierd

  • You can always tell the comments from people who do not own guns, as they always winge about not shooting full auto

  • 100 rd drum just pussy footing it in short bursts. My girlfriend has a 50 rd drum with 1 long burst. Go to flybouy11 or go to Thompson Machine Gun Lady.

  • pussy schooting

  • Let it rip! Why shoot a machine gun like that if you're just going to do burst fire?

  • @GmasterRED

Because dumping 100 rounds in a few seconds will really fuck up the barrel. Don't forget that the gun itself is more than eighty years old.

  • @bibblebob Not really

  • dumb fuck 2rd burst. lay on that bitch!

  • Holy shit. 100 rounds, that is fucking ridiculous. These 100 mags were made for one thing and one thing only, to kill as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time.

  • yeah, as he said, heavy as hell. Thats why usually the mob people heald them on their waist to shoot

  • @bowlofarthritus No that is just for movie effects......

  • Hate to be the next shooter on the right.

  • billig junge

  • AL CAPONE DAYS

  • Did they have drums when the marines invaded the pacific islands?

  • @Rocktecho Yes, but the drum magazines were disliked because they easily jammed.

  • @Rocktecho Some, not many, the Drum magazine and 1928 models were being phased out by better preforming M1A1 Thompsons with better sights. I am not a expert but that's what I understood.

  • Lame, whats the fun of having a full auto thompson if you only fire 2 round bursts. Let it rip man!

  • @mgibbs88

    my thoughts exactly

  • @mgibbs88 Because it's more accurate.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR The thompson isn't a sniper rifle, its a sub machinegun. Its only effective to 50 meters or so. What it can do is lay down a lot of lead. And who's grading you on accuracy anyway? Just have fun.

  • @mgibbs88 Because accuracy is final. Unloading the magazine just wastes ammo because one burst should be enough.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR When you have a 100 round drum, it just begs to be fired more. And again, these guys aren't spec ops operators where accuracy matters, they are just plinking shooting into the woods! If they were all concerened with saving ammo, why the heavy 100 round drum, just use a 20 or 30 round stick magazine.

  • @mgibbs88 Didn't realize that you had to unload the drum with one trigger pull. They decided to shoot burst, don't like it then cry about it.

  • He was a budy of John Dillinger and Al Capone :D

  • the 2nd guys is like give it here ya pussy, heres how ya shoot it.

  • This isn't rare.

  • is this a form 4 gun?

  • Now I see why one of the nicknames for this gun was "Chicago Typewriter" . If you close your eyes and listen to it, it sounds like someone using an old typewriter lol.

  • "sniff sniff" mmm smells like 20s

  • @leomantles *sniff* Smells like Wolf Pussy to me. (It's a military term, fyi)

  • True but a 12 ga. Slug should go pretty far... Buck shot won't... But either way getting hit by a slug would ruin your day

  • she's a bit heavy!

  • Does any one else see boobs in the related videos?

  • @SargentShooter Kinda distracting lol.

  • @SargentShooter It will probably turn out to be another man xD

  • @SargentShooter your not funny, its just a stupid comment to waiste time

  • @SargentShooter didnt look for them till you mentioned it.

  • @SargentShooter noo :'(

  • @0willsy01 It is on fully automatic....he's just shooting it properly

  • @Otherien What if he got caught in a situation where he would need to do a quick bit of suppressive fire?

  • can you imagine being on the other end of a dump of that drum?!?! Poor poor nazis, they never knew what hit them.... on second thought, fuck them, the nazis had it comin

  • bet its a bich to reload

  • Man for a guy his age he can sure shoot a .45

  • Yeah buck shot or a slug out of a 12 gauge would make one hell of a wound or in the case of the buck shot several wounds... Trust me you don't want to be on the business end of that

  • @Patmclean232 Depends on how close.

  • it's a howitzer.it needs 2 people for reloading

  • i would love to fire one of those haha

  • gotta say the weight on the drum mag probably keeps the recoil down hahaha

  • @metalkindofguy16 Keeps your arms down too!

  • @FlourescentPotato haha yeah man i bet..

  • @metalkindofguy16 Shoot their legs off maybe?

  • @FlourescentPotato i think there too good for that haha

  • @metalkindofguy16 Probably, yeah. Who needs a shotgun when you've got .45, anyway?

  • @FlourescentPotato depends on the job your doing, if your getting knee deep in the jungle then you might want a shotgun

  • @metalkindofguy16 I think this is short enough to do as well, shotgun can leave only minor wounds, and it would be harder to follow these up in a place like a jungle.

  • @FlourescentPotato it really depends on the shell that your using out of your shotgun... many varieties. and they dont leave minor wounds. shotguns are very very deadly

  • @metalkindofguy16 Shotguns are deadly, but there's nothing from a shotgun I trust more, in stopping power and how easy it is to use than .45. If you're using .45, you have the advantage of being able to cover an area with more rounds, and faster. The stopping power of a shotgun varies, but, as I guess we're talking shells for anti-personel use, very deadly.

  • @FlourescentPotato haha i really guess it depends on what kind of person you are. it also depends what shotgun you've got. but dont get me wrong. theres nothing like a .45 (:

  • @metalkindofguy16 Nothing like a 1911 too

  • Fuck P90, I can fire 100 rounds with this babe!

  • Does anyone else see the breast massage video on the right?

  • @riverrutt lets go there now

  • Anyone else seeing a video for breast massage on the side bar???

  • @SonOfAWhisker Yes!...what is with you tube?? How are asymmetric tits related to a Thompson smg?

  • @stevenesmond2 lol i read this comment and was like WTF is this guy talking about?! until i looked up and saw the video sugg -_- lmao

  • @chikoflake lol -random eh?!

  • @stevenesmond2 CAUSE BOTH ARE A.american...B.large and beautiful......C.us men can't go without them

  • I see the extra weight kept the muzzle down though, thats a big plus on the Thompson

  • lol its heavy as hell, cause so much metal was used in the world wars

  • the Thompson, good ol fashion fun

  • I can has?

  • The Chicago typewriter.

  • The good old thompson got to love it!

  • On the plus side, the recoil was reduced!

  • The thompson weighs 10 pounds, and the 100 round magazine weighs 8.5 pounds, about. Shit's heavy.

  • ah the speed reload edition.....

  • Lol its rare cuz people dont wanna use it because of a reload time on 62 sec:D

  • oldies shooting guns they cant even carry.... nothing better... if you pay attention u can see his skin jumping up and down :D

  • @MrFanman123 hes a fucking vet dude lay off

  • @MrFanman123 Ahh, A random idiot talking out of his ass on youtube on a subject he knows nothing about making an ass out of himself. What are the odds?..Thompsons are extremely extremely heavy. They are also a pain in the ass to cock.

  • It looks like that drum really helps with the recoil.

  • i like the sound of that.

  • FUCK IT JUST GET 2 SHOULDER MOUNTED PHALANX'S

  • I have one of those....just kidding, I'm middle class. But I man can dream, can't he?

  • @Neversaydie70 im thinking he's going to kill himself with before he does anything else

  • "ITS HEAVY AS HELL" - famous last words

  • Al Capone really let himself go! haha just kidding, nice shooting, I bet it must've been real heavy.

  • Perfect for the zombie apocalypse, .... or should I say, the Socialist-Liberal apocalypse.

  • It shud get lighter the longer u fire it.

  • Not heavy enough for the recoil!

  • That's fast

  • BOTH HAVE A GREAT SET OF TITS.......NICE WORK FAT BOYS

  • hold down the trigger !!

  • Big Al wants his gat back, see?

  • Fucking .45 caliber. God bless america.

  • @typicalviewer2 AMURRRICAAAAAAAAA!

  • i thought the drum was 76 rounds? ah well :D

  • @blackcountryme There were/are a few. "L" have 50 rounds. "C" have 100 rounds.

More recently, for the semi-auto long-barrelled rifle versions, "XX" 20-round and "X" 10-round versions have been produced to comply with some states magazine capacity limits.

  • @No1sonuk Ok dude, i only saw a 70 ish round drum, as a kid at a reenactment i think they were supplied as a sample from BSA as part of the deal to equip the French at the start of WW2!!!!!! they couldn't make the British army order, cos of the French order! Good stuff, one question...What is the loaded weight of one of those drums? in pounds (imperial?) if you know, i don't do metric :/

  • @blackcountryme 100 rounds of .45 ACP Ball comes out at around 4.7 pounds for just the ammunition...

  • @blackcountryme Check out nfatoys. com/ tsmg/ (remove the spaces) look at the specs page for weights.

  • @No1sonuk Looking there, you'll see that two 30-round stick mags weigh 3.5 lbs. One 50-round drum weighs 4.75 lbs. So stick mags give you 10-rounds more, for 1.5 lbs LESS, add to that: far easier/quicker to change, NO rattle at all and far easier to carry..

Even three 20-round mags are still 1 lb less than the 50-round drum.

I'd go so far as to say I think it's possible that the three 20-round mags could get 60 rounds (2 changes) downrange faster than someone using 50-round drums (1 change).

  • @No1sonuk the point of a 50 round drum is 50 shots without having to reload. when theres a wall of japanese rushing your line you dont want to waste time reloading. But I have to admit i'd rather have stick mags.

  • old men shouldnt be allowed to have this much fun...if they cant fucking lift the gun

  • 230G per bullet of .45ACP, 7000grains = 1 pound, 100 rounds of .45ACP = 23,000 grains or 3.2 pounds + the weight of the drum + the weight of the gun, so that's a bit heavy (maybe 15-18 pounds?)

  • Unfortunately we did not use the drum mag in WWII because of weight and ammo consumption, remember that the U.S. In the 40's recalled pennies to melt down for copper coats for bullets, thats why most pennies of the era were steel if youve ever seen one u kno what im talkin about, besides ur prone to hammer on the trigger when ur thompson has 5x the amount of ammo as a normal 20 round straight mag. However it would have given our boys a more viscious tone when firing upon enimies.

  • @keefelakes47 -"Unfortunately we did not use the drum mag in WWII because of weight and ammo consumption" - That's what people that fight wars behind a desk say. A 50 rounder would have done nicely in a squad without a machine gunner.

  • @saints360row From what I heard, it's what the troops said. That and the rattling noise.

Bear in mind that the first forces to use Thompsons in war were British commandos - heavy, noisy magazines is not something you want when you're sneaking around.

  • @No1sonuk -Touche.

  • LOL it's not heavy, he's just old.

  • @Emeianoite it is pretty heavy actually, especially with that round drum

  • @Airgunhunter2010 Yes, but due to the fact that all of that weight was situated at the BOTTOM of the weapon, it probably really helped with muzzle climb. It'd probably be even sweeter to fire if it had the wooden foregrip on it as well.

  • @Ianwrym Having held Thompsons with both types of foregrip and drums, I can tell you the horizontal one is far more comfortable. It's at a far better angle for your hand as you're reaching around the drum.

  • LOL, he shot on accident xD

  • All capone Magazine...lol

  • How Many Hillbillies Does It Take To Load A Gun ?

  • ... how much does it weigh?

  • ALCAPONE IS BACK

  • hey you shoot like a soldier you should shoot it like MAFIA STYLE! THAT IS AWESOME!!!! SHOOT LIKE MAFIA STYLE YEAH BEBE

  • such a over-rated gun....

  • @playherone at the time it was a pretty decent gun actually.....

  • I want to see the target.

  • Your tired of holding it or its too heavy? Then your weak old man.

  • @1998gst4611 You're. Please correct your grammar before insulting your elders.

  • @Lolzygag No fucking shit gagcock! I was in a little hurry typing and didn't have time to proof read my words you dip shit! So don't be correcting me on my grammar correct yourself.

  • @1998gst4611 I fail to see the area that I need correction in. Could you point me in the right direction?

  • @Lolzygag I'd say stick it up your ass! smart ass!

  • @1998gst4611 Hurr hurr. You killed my smart.

  • that must be heavy !!!

  • retards...itsz not rare the tommy and thompson were designed the same way but parts exturnaly were removed for less weight so its not rara...(watch public enemy)

  • @pivotnoob236 Go try to actually find an original 100 rd Thompson drum and then go on about how it isn't rare.

  • @pivotnoob236 yeah it is for one tow a tommy and thompson are the same thing and three your a dumbass

  • DEY TOK OUR JEOWWWBS!

  • It's nowhere as easy as in the states to do WWII movies. Just ask your neighbour for some guns and ammo.

  • @carjunks - why do farmers need automatic weapons??

  • was that second shooter theodore roosevelt?

  • ill buy that for 80 bucks lol those drums are worth like 1000 so

  • its good to have the thompson witht he grip, because when you shoot the thompson, the recoil causes the gun to climb up, so you have to push down on it

  • The thompson shuld still in service

  • Listen for the real shot at 0:49

  • What's with this idea that the shooter served in WW2??

If he was 20 in 1945, he'd be 85 in 2010, and he doesn't look 85 to me. He looks like he is in his 60's, which makes it more likely for him to be a Vietnam vet.

  • lol the .45 acp isn't even budging him at all

  • B E A U T I F U L G U N

  • how many days does it take you to load that mag? lol

  • @NeverSayDie70 well first of all its pretty heavy and second u wanna not jam it and make sure its in correctly

  • To all those people who say he should be firing automaticlly ur stupid cause shooting 3 burst is for accuracy he is probaly a veteran from ww2

  • M16... cling,, cling.... cling.... Thompson ththththt.... thththt..... ththththththt....

  • @StrawberryFeilds67 Hey, I like your name! I like the Beatles,too

  • Damn i remeber shooting one of these hahaha they heavy as fuck!!

  • Is that a m1a1? I thought they couldn't accept drums

  • @gamecommanderCOD4 That is a 1928A1, commonly called the 1928 Navy. It is like the regular 1928s which can accept drums, except it has a horizontal forearm like the M1 and M1A1. The easiest way to tell between a 1928 Navy model and a M1 is the placement of the charging handle. The M1's charging handle is on the side, and the 1928 Navy's is on the top.

  • @gamecommanderCOD4 nope its a m1928a1 its charging handle is on the top and has a different sight

  • This old guy is gonna end up like the kid with the uzi

  • fuck george bush.
