If I debated her I wouldn't even go the science route. I would just show all of the errors, contradictions, missing books and letters, and so on to prove her god is fake and her religion is wrong. That is because I study Christian mythoogy (all of it is myth) and can have a field day with any christian theist.

If one makes a claim about the existence of a certain entity, then that individual or group of individuals must carry the burden of proof. Just because you can't disprove the existence of ghosts, aliens, or Bigfoot doesn't mean they exist. Until adequate evidence is provided, the logical position to take is one of disbelief. That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Her flagellum example is incorrect. Even losing 40% of the materials the flagellum would still allow it to function in some way of form, giving further evidence for evolution. The irony being that biologists discovered this in the same year Michael Behe (which she cites) released his book covering irreducible complexity, which was 1996. If she bothered to do the research, she'd know this.
A paper explosion at Kinkos producing all the pages lining up in perfect alphabetical order is unlikely. However, if this happens often enough, it could happen. The same goes for genetic information in cells. Yes it is random, but stretch the process out over a long time period and you will at some point get the order you are looking for.
By looking at one instance, and then when that instance fails to produce the results you wanted, claiming that the theory could not happen is bad science.
Evolution works by favoring each individual step. First explosion might get a few pages in order, but now these are fixed in place. Second explosion, one more falls into place, now we have four. Third through eighth explosions, nothing. Ninth explosion, couple more in the right place, now we have six... takes a while, but way way way way faster than waiting for one explosion to get them all in the right order, and it goes from being a huge improbability to an absolute certainty.

Evolution has nothing to do with why I'm an atheist. I was an atheist long before I knew anything about evolution. In fact, not being that bright regarding science, I still don't know that much about evolution. What is this obsession some theists have about atheists following the 'religion of evolution'.
What's more, the Roman Catholic church accepts the theory of evolution.

Science is about trial and error, about asking questions. To be proven wrong is a good thing because that puts us one step closer to getting it right, unlike religion which doesn't stand up to that process.

If I debated her I wouldn't even go the science route. I would just show all of the errors, contradictions, missing books and letters, and so on to prove her god is fake and her religion is wrong. That is because I study Christian mythoogy (all of it is myth) and can have a field day with any christian theist.

@TheodricLives a theory is based on observation of facts ;P And if the facts don't add up, the theory is disproved or altered. Evolution is a theory, like gravity, that hasn't been disproved. :) Christianity is a set of beliefs based on zero facts.

Just because you can't disprove the existence of ghosts, aliens, or Bigfoot doesn't mean they exist. Until adequate evidence is provided, the logical position to take is one of disbelief. Her flagellum example is incorrect. Even losing 40% of the materials the flagellum would still allow it to function in some way of form, giving further evidence for evolution. The irony being that biologists discovered this in the same year Michael Behe (which she cites) released his book covering irreducible complexity, which was 1996. If she bothered to do the research, she'd know this.

A paper explosion at Kinkos producing all the pages lining up in perfect alphabetical order is unlikely. However, if this happens often enough, it could happen. The same goes for genetic information in cells. Yes it is random, but stretch the process out over a long time period and you will at some point get the order you are looking for.
By looking at one instance, and then when that instance fails to produce the results you wanted, claiming that the theory could not happen is bad science.

Evolution works by favoring each individual step. First explosion might get a few pages in order, but now these are fixed in place. Second explosion, one more falls into place, now we have four. Third through eighth explosions, nothing. Ninth explosion, couple more in the right place, now we have six... takes a while, but way way way way faster than waiting for one explosion to get them all in the right order, and it goes from being a huge improbability to an absolute certainty.

This related-structure named TTSS lacks the apical units of the flagellum but still consists of the basal structure. Even after taking away the flagellar components that facilitate motility, the remaining components are still capable of mediating disparate functions in different contexts. Thus, the bacterial flagellum is NOT irreducibly complex.
