Do some research about history and the definition of genocide before requesting for recognition. You can't just listen to one side of the history and accept it. Americans tend to accept your story due to the fact that you Armenians have more influence (than Turks) especially through the entertainment industry (e.g. Cher and you guys, forgot your band's name and can't be bothered to look it up). Regarding archives: Every country has secret archives and they are kept away from public because of national security. And Armenian Genocide recognition is a threat to national security of Turkey . So again I am not Turk and I do not have Turkish relatives living or lived in Turkey so my brain is free of Turkish nationalistic ideology.

@AnadoluHilali As I understand, the Nagorno karabagh people are ethnic Armenians (used to be Armenia until Stalin gave it to Azerbiajan was the people stayed in place). More than this, what the people there want is independance from both countries. I doubt Al Jazeera's Armenian homecomings are funded by Armenians any more than others. You would have been taugh that this did not happen because article 301 of the Turkish penal code forbids teaching the teaching of it. See Hrant Dink.

This has been linked to Armenian issues in various cases relating to the Armenian Genocide in the cases of Hrant Dink, Orhan Pamuk, and Taner Akçam who were charged under Article 301. What is explicit may not be Armenian, but it is an effect. And not all education in society is in the classroom.

Akcam was never charged with any Armenian issues he was charged with collaborating with the PKK and imprisoned in the 70's. @AnadoluHilali As I understand, the Nagorno karabagh people are ethnic Armenians (used to be Armenia until Stalin gave it to Azerbiajan was the people stayed in place). More than this, what the people there want is independance from both countries. I doubt Al Jazeera's Armenian homecomings are funded by Armenians any more than by others. You would have been taugh that this did not happen because article 301 of the Turkish penal code forbids teaching the teaching of it. See Hrant Dink.

Armenians only want to get money from the Turkish government by making the whole world, inluding the countries who are totally unaware of what is going on in that part of the world, accept that there was a genocide. These brutal acts could only be done by the Armenians. The Turkish government offered to open all documents to have a deep research on this claim, but the Armenian government denied to open their documents to the world. That's it.

The Turkish government clearly opened their archives and requested the Armenian government to exchange information about the events that spanned from 1915-1923. But the Armenian government clearly ran away and kept their archives shut. Why did they keep their archives shut, because they want to pretend to be innocent and minimalize the suffering of Turkish people. This is the objective of the Armenian Diaspora.

It never went to trial, because for over two years, its administrators could not find evidence for conviction. The archives of several nations were searched, including the archives of the United States, and certainly the archives of the Ottoman Empire, which was under the control of the British occupying Istanbul. All archives in Germany, Sweden and the US have showed that a genocide occured with hundreds of thousands of killed Assyrians and Armenians by the Turkish Government with their allied Kurdish clans. Read for example Scheubner-Richters letters to Reichskanzler, Bethmann Hollweg. Or the Swedish archives, the reports from the Ottoman Empire to the Swedish embassy in 6 July 1915 , 22 July 1915 ,2 september 1915, 5 januar 1917, 20 august 1917. There are hundreds of documents.

Do some research about history and the definition of genocide before requesting for recognition. You can't just listen to one side of the history and accept it. Americans tend to accept your story due to the fact that you Armenians have more influence (than Turks) especially through the entertainment industry (e.g. Cher and you guys, forgot your band's name and can't be bothered to look it up). It was the Armenians who started the conflict by joining the ottoman empire's invaders.

There is a difference between the Armenians joining the Russian forces and fighting the Ottoman Turks after being persecuted for over 500 years and Turks killing 1,500,000 CIVIL Armenians and 750,000 civil Assyrians. If you do not get the difference clearly you are yourself uneducated. Some 30% of Turkeys population was pre-WW1 Christian (Armenian, Greek, Assyrian) and today we are less than 0,1%. While the ottoman empire was being invaded the Armenians joined Turkey's enemies to crush Turkey, which is where the internal conflict between Turkish people and Armenians started.
