  • You are a good man for making these videos. Very professional and useful tutorials.

  • @ThePavelsatskiy Thanks!

  • hi there, excuseme are you using the areat t pickups dimarzio or just the original pickups? Nice play men.

  • @MAGAVIMC Can't remember if I answered this or not. I use Dimarzio silent pups here..

  • Thanks for the very cool vid David - please teach more free lessons on blues licks in context. It's so cool to see how they can be used over backing tracks.

  • @merseyguy1974 Thanks, I'll make more!

  • @Wallimann Hey thanks again - I'll really appreciate that.

Even though this vid is only like 1:44 its probably the most inspiring I've seen in ages.

For me, it's concise and to the point of what we should be trying to do with licks etc.

Great stuff David, keep 'em coming.

  • what gauge strings u using?

  • @laxbro518 I use 9-42s.

  • Love the finish on the tele. Never seen that before.. So grainy.. Looks alive.

  • Thanks a lot David!

Just absorbed those licks and transfered them to my playing

  • @Hennes777 Awesome!

  • great job david!

  • @nickkellie Thanks Nick!

  • really nice licks, thanks for share David

beside, what a mess is sort subscribed channels updates with the new YT interface!!!

  • @radarTube Thanks!

Yeah, I agree man! I decided to keep the old channel design for now. I hope they keep it active!

  • @Wallimann for me the wrost has come with the new subscription browser: there's no more way to know about already watched vids and the ignore" (the "X") button disappeared

    grrrrr!!!

  • you made this so easy to learn :):):)

  • wow cool licks man... just curious, do you construct that lick by yourself or do you have an inspiration for that lick?

  • @PhilippineCreation Thanks! It depends, a lot of it is just playing and thinking rhythmically.

  • I am LOVING that guitar dude, so jealous right now lol. I like the licks too, great job

  • @ExternalTooth Thanks so much!

  • the first lick was simply epic :)

  • as usual mr. wallimann....simple and sweet....that's how i describe your licks.... everybody can play blues...but the question is ...would anyone else listen ..?....and i would listen to yours.....thumbs and toes up...:)

  • @TehUberCyberBeast Glad you like them!

  • i have seen a lot of blues licks lesson on the internet. But i gotta say these were the tastiest of them all. moreover there were three of them. loved the licks, loved the tone. Thanks David.

  • @j0sHoo7 Thanks so much man!

  • dude... this must have been the best lesson ive had!!! MORE PLEASE!!!!

  • @enderinheaven Thanks! :-)

  • thank you !!!!

  • Nice tone!

  • @rconnie Thanks!

  • @MrFrancescosmusic Thank you :-)

  • this kinda sucked

  • Oh David! This is just awesome. You would easily have the most popular and influential guitar channel if you did little lessons like this, but on people's specific styles. For example: Pick 3 B.B. King-style licks and show them in context, 3 David Walliman licks, 3 Paul Gilbert licks, 3 David Gilmour Licks, 3 Paul Kossoff licks, etc. It would probably help people with their ear training to pick out (say that first lick in Thrill is Gone, or Sky is Cryin') in other contexts too. Excellent video!

  • @srvgravesdime Thanks!

  • @srvgravesdime Great idea!

  • oehh nice lick :D ill steal that from ya :P :)

  • let that pinky get some! ;)

  • @cpage07 Haha! I know man!!!

  • very feeling..

  • Excellent

  • @axeofcreation Thanks!

  • great sound nice tone

  • @disclosurenow9 Thank you, Axe FX II! :p-)

  • Ace lesson! Thanks man :D

  • It's interesting to me how players switch to a 'pinky-less' playing once the blues comes on. I can't make it through the day without my little finger, regardless of setting.

While you were busy reading that, I was stealing all of your licks... :)

  • @PiotrLatoMusic i think it has to do with bending...atleast for me it does. because when it comes to blues, i dont really plan on when im going to bend...i just kinda do it.

  • @PiotrLatoMusic Cool and funny comment !

This video reminds me of the first ones i've seen from Wallimann (Blue Parker era)...

Thanks David : Great job !

    Salut !

  • @manuorchestra Thanks man!

  • @PiotrLatoMusic Haha! :-)
