WTF is with all these comments against Marc Maron saying he stole from Bill Hicks? Hicks was a great comedian and all but why are people going crazy with these stealing allegations? Denis Leary stole from Bill Hicks, yes. Marc Maron and Bill Hicks' comedy is wildly different. Maron is not anywhere near as political, his comedy is way more sad and angsty it and has a clear Jewish sensibility. Hicks was an angry young man. Maron is a bitter older dude. But more endearing and vulnerable than Hicks.

I watched 30 seconds of one of his other videos and within that time heard him pretty much quote Bill Hicks directly. I've heard a lot of Bill Hicks, so it's hard for me to watch someone stealing from him and not notice it.

I think he was talking about driving while high, and made a joke about how slow you go while high. He changed the numbers, but it's still stealing.

Okay, we'll call it a "paraphrase".

Hicks was a huge influence on a lot of comics,myself included. I wouldn't say he "steals".. Comedians tend to think along the same lines about stuff,especially the deeper,darker stuff and it's tough trying to be original when Hicks did it all. It just goes to show what a genius he was,that his stuff is still relevant today, Comedians will always have simillar things to say. It's like music. There are only 8 notes in a scale.Tunes are bound to sound simillar sometimes!

@anderbrady i just want to point out that hicks did not do it all. you forgot about carlin, marx bros, lenny bruce. tons of others before hicks. jokes do get passed around alot. leary used hicks stuff all the time.
