I think this was hooked up to the PC, MAC, or whatever and just recorded from the youtube website. This thing has worse audio than a GoPro. Expect the GoPro has a reason to have low quality as a camera meant for sports. But for a 'HD' consumer camera should be of a high expectations with video and audio.
it would have been a more arguable debate if you uploaded this as the uncompressed HD format. this video is only 360/480p. try again and then test it.
@JPizzle1122 i mean did you upload from camera using the built in firmware? or did you go to my computer and drag the raw video directly over to your computer? because the built in firmware automatically compresses it. Otherwise this video should of came out to 720p and look way better.

im gonna assume this was one of the really early models of the Flip, because I've recorded some really great quality videos for my channel with mine. no washed out color, no scratchy audio. well...with the exception of my Lady Gaga concert footage, but it was really loud and i was really close to the speakers.

Jon, the "horrible" video quality and audio quality on the flip you were using wasn't that bad actually. I could hear everything crystal clear, and see everything in the video perfectly. Guys, today we were shopping for a cheap camcorder for our upcoming cruise and my dad wanted the flip. My aunt loves hers. I'm a "techno-wizard", and I looked up all the good, sub$200 camcorders at wal-mart and sams since we didn't have time for shipping. Honestly, the flip sucks. get a Kodak Playsport ZX5, like us. It shoots 720 p at 30fps(like the flip), 720p at 60 fps, and 1080p. It goes underwater, & is drop resistant. And you can use SD cards. I can go on and on.Good Job Jon!!!FLIP SUCKS!!
I have a Flip HD Ultra... It actually takes fucking AWESOME daytime, outside video. What I will say is this "the low light video on this thing sucks huge cock" terrible. The sound isn't that bad though...not from my experience.

Okay first of all, this was probably and most likely recorded with one of the earlier Flip cameras. Now, the Flip cameras have much better video quality AND audio. Just go to Lane Fournerat's vlogging channel "TheFunnyrats" and see for yourself the awesomeness. :)

The quality sucks on ALL movie editors. I tried iMovie on a Mac, Windows Movie Maker from Windows Vista on my old PC AND Serif MoviePlus X3, all have the capability of HQ videos. The sound and video quality SUCKED on EVERY editor used!
The newest flip HD with the slide and touch screen costs about $230 and it shoots in HD video. The iPod touch costs 230, and it also shoots in HD video, and i would say it shoots better than the flip. So think about it, would you rahter get a ipod touch with good video recording (plus a bunch of apps to enahnce the recording) and also be able to take amazing pics, and also have a shitload of other media like games, or would you buy this crap with horrible touch?

im gonna assume this was one of the really early models of the Flip, because I've recorded some really great quality videos for my channel with mine. no washed out color, no scratchy audio. well...with the exception of my Lady Gaga concert footage, but it was really loud and i was really close to the speakers.

Jon, the "horrible" video quality and audio quality on the flip you were using wasn't that bad actually. I could hear everything crystal clear, and see everything in the video perfectly. The only reason why alot of people think the audio sucks is because your in a crouded room, but i could still hear everything you said.
Now i'm not saying the flip is one of the best cameras out there..... cuz i know it's not. There are way better cameras. I'm just sayin, it's better than you give it credit for

Guys, today we were shopping for a cheap camcorder for our upcoming cruise and my dad wanted the flip. My aunt loves hers. I'm a "techno-wizard", and I looked up all the good, sub$200 camcorders at wal-mart and sams since we didn't have time for shipping. Honestly, the flip sucks. get a Kodak Playsport ZX5, like us. It shoots 720 p at 30fps(like the flip), 720p at 60 fps, and 1080p. It goes underwater, & is drop resistant. And you can use SD cards. I can go on and on.Good Job Jon!!!FLIP SUCKS!!

I have a Flip HD Ultra... It actually takes fucking AWESOME daytime, outside video. What I will say is this "the low light video on this thing sucks huge cock" terrible. The sound isn't that bad though...not from my experience.

Okay first of all, this was probably and most likely recorded with one of the earlier Flip cameras. Now, the Flip cameras have much better video quality AND audio. Just go to Lane Fournerat's vlogging channel "TheFunnyrats" and see for yourself the awesomeness. :)

The newest flip HD with the slide and touch screen costs about $230 and it shoots in HD video. The iPod touch costs 230, and it also shoots in HD video, and i would say it shoots better than the flip. So think about it, would you rahter get a ipod touch with good video recording (plus a bunch of apps to enahnce the recording) and also be able to take amazing pics, and also have a shitload of other media like games, or would you buy this crap with horrible touch?
