This is very nice. I am using Final Cut Pro with Twixtor 4.5 plugin, but can't get nearly as good of a staff as this. Do you know if it would be possible to replicate this in Final Cut Pro? Thank you for this great video!
Sure, I did it in Premiere Pro, but Twixtor should provide the same functionality in Final Cut Pro. A little hint: use track points (see my Twixtor tutorial).
@DreamaginaryPictures Hey great vid ,Im trying to this with my cannon 550d , Ive tryed 50fps and 60 fps but when twixtoring it it just warps like crazy any ideas , Not enough light maybe ? thanks in advance.
I guess it looks like the short sequence connecting the two slow motions in my own video (at 1:30). That happens when you blend across more than two frames and slow it down too much. If you want to make your footage extremely slow, then try blending from just one frame to the next (also watch the Twixtor tutorial in my channel where I adress warping problems by adding track points).
@DreamaginaryPictures Thankyou for replying so quick ive watched your tutorial but i dont use that program, but still im going to try with my current software (sony vegas) and if still no luck i shall try your software .
Slow Motion with a Panasonic LUMIX at 30.00 fps and reduced with Twixtor at 4% and increased at 480 for slow and fast motion respectively: /watch?v=bgU8lR5kkfw
50FPS (because of european electric power) <- what? I don't get it. What does electric power have to do with frame rate? Why not just select NTSC mode and use 60FPS?
Because the european electric power uses 50 Hz and when shooting in 60 fps I had some serious flickering of the lights at such a fast shutter speed :(
So I had to switch to 50 fps. I definitely would have prefered 60 fps.
@DreamaginaryPictures Awesome video man, but I have 1 question. I use Twixtor in Vegas, my camera is set to 2000fps, 1600 ISO but when I still slow it down its all mixed and looks horrible. Can you help?
I made a tutorial (see my channel). However, some people already reported to me that they were not able to use track points in Sony Vegas. But maybe you will get along without track points.
Actually I had to shoot with 50 fps because the fast shutter (1/1250 sec) didn't work well with my lamps and the european electricity network (50 Hz).
@DreamaginaryPictures hmmm nice! i'll get t2i soon and i wanna record some footage like that.. use some "magic bullet looks" to make a nice colors, i'll be awesome dude, i can teach you if you wanna.. :)
@DreamaginaryPictures I think @FresherValleyChill was comically creating a name for ur video. OrangeCeption *mixing the OrangeSlice as the main 'character' and Inception together.
I just used Twixtor with some Motocross footage to make a SUPER slo-mo video. No question you will enjoy it :P, just visit my Channel or Search: Twixtor Test - Super Slow Motion (Motocross). Enjoy.

Thanks! If you use the Canon 50mm 1.8 II (or a similar lens) and your camera is set on manual exposure in video mode, then you should be able to set the f-stop to 1.8.
you ruined it by completely pausing and not slowing at all randomly ... would have been better if it was all slow motion alittle faster than the extreme one you did :P
There is no pausing in the video, but when not watched in full screen it may seem like the motion is really freezed... @DreamaginaryPictures Well i got the extra money, could get myself a 5d Mk 2 but for hobby photography thats just not appropriate:P 600d with the vari-angle screen seems worth it..but isnt it very easy to break/get sand underneath? i saw the Neumann video, and i do have trust in Magic Lantern to not damage my camera. however it would be my first DSLR, wouldnt like to brick it. :P
@TIJSNL Yeah, for hobby photography a 550D, 600D or 60D would be fine. If you're planning to do a lot of sports photography, the 60D might even be the better choice because it shoots more photos/second and has a bigger picture buffer. Unfortunately, I don't have experience with the vari-angle screen, so I don't know how solid it is built. Concerning Magic Lantern: I also had some issues (camera didn't work properly) with one of the previous versions, but the current version seems fine.
@jsnmcmichael The canon t2i is good. If you don't want to spend as much money you can get a Kodak playsport, buy that doesn't have nearly as many possibilities as a canon DSLR.
@xXxjacob928xXx Try to have good lighting pretty much the middle of the day, and make the percentage to 2 percent up to 20 depending how close or far you are from the object your slowing down and only slow down the parts that are important like he did, which was in the middle of the splash, lastly make sure theres not TOO much motion in your shot, if there is slow it down to 2-4 percent for least warping just trial and error

In movie mode go to the menu and change "movie exposure" from auto to manual. Then you can set the shutter, f-stop and iso. I'd always recommend shooting in manual mode...

In movie mode go to the menu and change "movie exposure" from auto to manual. Then you can set the shutter, f-stop and iso. I'd always recommend shooting in manual mode...

As far as I know, Twixtor works on multiple platforms, like Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro or Avid.

Excellent video man. Question, where's the music from and where can I get it? Is it from Dark Knight?
