This is not meant in any way to be against the lions, they too need to survive. It is meant as a motivational display of unity, power in numbers, courage, pure love and selflessness actually beating natures odds in the animal kingdom and how these water buffalo all become united to save the life of one single calf. The will to do what's right, what's just, to show compassion and care about the well being of all people and not just yourself is a great strength in and of itself. But it's the kind that won't come with "eden". That kind of peace and harmony tends to erode us.

We can't deny that there's great evil in the world, but by facing it, maybe we can learn how to fight it, and in doing so have a greater purpose in our lives.
