Taken to the downright dictionary definition, you'd be technically right. But in the context of Smash, you're wrong.

Chaingrab = inescapable if done frame perfectly. This is techable, ergo escapable, so it is a considered a grab combo - a succession of connecting hits that happen to be grabs. The opponent's POSSIBLE reactions are not as fundamentally considered to affect the legitimacy of the combo.

not its has nothing to do with a CHAIN GRAB. You can Tech GW's down throw if you miss the tech thats your own damn fault. its not a CHAIN GRAB its a GRAB COMBO
