Looking back, what did any of this mean? This music, not Pat Benetar or Safety Dance was the real deal..the early 70s saw the music of the 60s change for the worse as money, fame, record companies destroyed the music & the message.
Punk/New Music was not Mozart, but that was the point...DIY, be yourself, find yourself, embrace diversity... I never liked the name Punk: it was a sub genre..please understand that many freedoms we enjoy today came from this era, & that's why this is important.
I liked Bflo Punk 1.0: it's cwey well done..Oddly, one thing is missing from the video: the fans. Why? There weren't very many..maybe 5% of Bflo kids even saw these bands. More people watch 1 episode of Man Vs. Food than all these bands combined. In '77 I said 2 my brother that this music would take at leat 10 years to catch on, especially in the suburbs...sadly, I was right...
