  • dude if the Joker had me with the whole knife thing I would crack as many dumb jokes as i could before he killed me in the hope I'd make one good joke and he'd let me go.

  • What is that lemon drink line from? I've heard on a few different riffs.

  • @SonicStantz The Happening

  • @Sarcasmitron No wonder I didn't know what it was.

  • Joker:my father was a drinking badger

  • Dark Knight sucks ass anyway.

  • My friends love it when I recite the Joker scars speech! LOL!

  • every time the joker kills a person after sticking his knife in their mouth, i can't help but shudder in disgust. i doubt he EVER washes that thing! nughh

  • Well, my bed will feel empty, sir.

    Haha.

  • I was obsessed with this movie! I love this version!

  • WHY YOU EYEING MY LEMON DRINK?

    lmfao XD

  • "Is this a long story?"

"Then we had pot pies and he tucked me in. The end."

  • Why so serious? Check out Normal George instead.

  • 0:27 I pissed my pants lol

  • I was always curious how cutting the side of that guy's mouth killed him instantly.

  • Who said it killed him instantly? It's possible that he wasn't dead and the Joker finished him after the scene ended.

  • I assumed it killed him because he didn't make a single noise and he dropped like a rag doll. And I don't think that kind of wound would cause someone (let alone a tough-guy mob boss) to pass out.

  • Hmmm maybe he cut his... THROAT?? DURRRR!!!!

  • Nope, didn't slice from there, and even if he did slit his throat, it wouldn't be instant. Really, I don't know why people are fighting this so hard. Is it possible it was just a non-sensical scene? I still think the movie was awesome, just pointing out a quirk.

    Oh, and DDUUUURRRRR!!!

  • well if someone did that to me, I'd probably drop like a sack of potatoes too

  • I'm gonna regret this. I am. Simple answer to this question is: there is a knife in his mouth. Replace the word "cut" with "thrust." Basic understanding of human anatomy should answer the rest.

  • Regret away. There was no thrust. Such a motion would be very obvious and not nearly as quick and clean. Again, I'm honestly surprised at the various attempts to make sense of it. We're talking about a movie based on a comic in which the hero dresses as a bat. It's ok!

  • I posed a solution to your question. If you don't like it, fine. It would nicely answer your question, though. I do wonder how you know it wasn't a thrust, though, since they cut away from the kill-shot. But it's your debate. Ride it, cowboy.

  • Lol wasn't a debate, it was an observation. Everyone else decided to make it a debate. And I stated why It couldn't be a thrust. Get over it, cowgirl.

Geez, remind me to never, ever make objective observations for the Youtube crowd to see. I'm out.

  • I guess the 94 percent fresh on Rotten Tomatoes means nothing, hell the Critics must all be teenagers huh?

  • Just because it appears on Rifftrax (and is funny as a rifftrax) doesn't mean it's garbage. Their only criteria for movies to make fun of is, for them to be fun to make fun of. I like this movie, but that doesn't mean I won't make snide comments on it if it's fun for me.

    "Ish thish a long shtory?"

  • I agree. Movies tend to take themselves too seriously. It's good they can have the air let out of them. People say it's "defacing (or, with hubris, debasing) the medium." No more than someone doing a spoof portrait of Mona Lisa, or one of Weird Al's songs. Hollywood thinks that since they're so new as a medium, they shouldn't be treated like every other art.

  • to me it was a okay/good film

  • "Ew I saw his Uvela." HAHA!

  • My father was "a badger".

  • Why so Curious, George?

  • I loved the movie and still think this is funny. When some of my favorite things mix I cannot help but like it, e.g. Rifftrax + Dark Knight. Like U2 recording a song for a Batman movie, it's neat.

  • Haha "Was he a black, Southern preacher?"

  • i thot this was a pretty good movie but i think it is sooooooo overrated

  • "Ish dish a long schtory?"

  • "Honestly do I look like a guy with a plan?"

'No, you look like gay satan.'

  • Hahaha, that was a line from the riffed version? Anyway, gave me lulz!

  • Yes both of my last two comments were my favorite lines from this rifftrax

  • You think batman ever gets lost and has to ask his GPS system "WHERE ARE THEY??!?!?!"

  • HAHA i haven't seen the whole riffed version but i know excatly what part of the movie you're talking about... i need to watch this

  • "There go your clothes, Alfred. I told you I'd do it if you told one more stupid joke."

    XD

    ROFL

  • "Why you eying my lemon drink?"

  • "My father...wassss...."

    A Badger! lol

  • all rifftrax are funny!

  • "and he goes 'why so serious?'"

and we both started cracking up, it was nice really!

    That made me crack up!

I love The Dark Knight and Heath Ledger but this did make me laugh!

  • Its there job

  • I loved this film as much as the next person, but "Ish thish a long shtory...?" cracks me the hell up.

  • I love when they reference other movies they've riffed

"Why you eyein my lemon drink?"

    lol

  • Yeah, he took the entire ballet except for the women LOL!

  • A BADGER! xD

    hahaha oh ...wow...good show

  • This was alright. I still don't think this rifftrax was nearly as good as say battlefield earth, revenge of the sith, 300, and especially not batman and robin. I still think the crappier movies are easier to make fun of.

  • You must've really offended a fan of battlefield earth to have deserved a thumbs down.

    Damned Scientologists.

  • ya'll should see cloverfield and transformers riff. The guys have fun on those.

  • I wanted to see this, but only to sit in the back row going "Nah na na na na na na na -BATMAAAAAAN!" and shouting "BIFF!", "SocK!" and "Ker- POW!" to annoy the geeks. -Incidentally, I heard the audience in my local hyper-ciniplexmart had a young baby & mother thrown out for gurgling too loud & spoiling their intellectual enjoyment of this celebration of a man fighting crime in his underpants.

  • Oh, my, you ARE witty.

  • Are you serious? If so, why so?

  • Yeah, I think its perfectly funny to make fun of this over hyped movie. I love the MST3K guys!

  • Oh easytalkcafe, it's much much worse than that. They are going so far as to create fake customer accounts and pretending to buy lots and lots of their own rifftrax so it appears that customers like it!

  • That employees are creating fake accounts to praise their own product, uh yeah, right. You are just ignoring that customers prefer overwhelmingly new blockbusters to older clunkers. No matter what a vocal minority might piss and moan about on various forums. It's as simple as that.

  • People bitch at every choice, and a handful of people on a forum doesn't equal a whole lot, you're the one manufacturing the conspiracy theory, you're the one drinking the Kool-aid.

  • Are you really going to take this MOVIE that seriously? I mean, you do know that it's a MOVIE right? - meant for ENTERTAINMENT? The riff that accompanies it is also for ENTERTAINMENT purposes. Time to lighten up and get a larger size underwear cause clearly yours are too tight.

    "Why SO serious?"

  • my father was

    A BADGER! lol

  • My dentist...was a DUCK!

  • What does that even mean?

  • I'd like to think they actually like some of the movies they make fun of.

Although probably it's hard for them to stop the riffing machine in their heads when they see one.

  • Proof once again that just because it's a good movie, doesn't mean you can't make fun of it.

Especially funny riffs with the Joker.

    "My father was.....a badger"

  • Hahaha, I can't wait to check this one out. Sounds like a good riff, boys.

  • -Those are your clothes Alfred, I told you I'll do if you made one more stupid joke.

-Yeah, put the dead bloody clown on my $12,000 slate table.

".. and one night he goes crazier than usual"

and starts lowering prizes on his inventory, he said he'll beat any competition

    -Is thish a long shtory?

    I love rifftrax !

  • "EW I SAW HIS UVULA"

  • This entire riff was hilarious. The Dark Knight was good...but The Dark Knight with rifftrax is much better.

  • oh my word, how are they making me laugh at the dark knight?

    these dudes are brilliant

  • i knew i shouldnt have watched this. it totally runied the greatest movie of all time . lol. ill never look at it the same way again.

  • Have you *seen* The Godfather, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, or....any other movies advanced as being the greatest of all time?

  • is this a long story?

    LMAO!!!!!!!

  • haha you eyin my lemon drank?

  • the entire riff is a sweet riff... and there's a Krankor reference :)

  • Where? I've listened to it again and can't seem to find where the Krankor reference is.

  • my bad . its on the actual riff of the whole movie - it made me laugh so hard it was worth the 4 bucks alone.

  • OMG - there's a Krankor reference? I just bought the riff yesterday but haven't watched it yet. Now I can't wait! :-)

  • He's the villain in Prince of space

  • I've bought the rifftrax and have heard the reference (which was in my favorite scene, incidentally). So now I can agree with you that the Krankor reference is sweet.

  • "'My father was. . . .'

    A badger!"

Wouldn't surprise me, looking at that hair.

  • "Is this a long story?" LOL! I love Rifftrax!

  • why you eyen my lemon drink?

  • I think it's better when the movie is actually pretty bad.

  • It is.

  • Hmm, this wasn't all that good a riff. Oh well, I've already bought the whole thing, I'll have to see if the riff in its entirety is any better.

  • this wasnt very good.

  • This film has more than had it coming. Go Mike, Bill, and Kevin!

  • ... a badger!

  • LOL @ the 'the happening' reference

  • When does he say that?lol

  • I dare you guys to make 'Inland Empire' funny.

  • Really weird seeing them tackle a good movie but they have their own unique criteria. I mean, I've seen Bert I Gordon movies get more respect than they give the Matrix. Besides, funny as hell.

  • They've done good movies before, you should see their LOTR riff.

Really, the only criterion they use is whether or not they can be funny with it. They're like any other comedian really: loyal only to the joke.

  • The quality of the LOTR films is debatable. I just didn't enjoy the riffing. So heh.

  • " my father was a badger" lol

  • Ha, ha...

  • I agree with the guys, the best movie ever?

go to hell Citizen Kane, eat me Godfather

C'mon critics what is wrong with you?

    you high?

  • "Ish thish a long shtory?"

That alone is worth the price.

  • Agreed.

  • I'll take 10

  • if you don't have the heart, we try and get you a transplant

  • Agreed. Riffing is always funnier with badly edited and poorly scripted flicks.

  • I miss MST3K

  • Don't we all Mnwthoutfear.

  • "UGH! I saw his uvula!" LOL best line in the sample. I better remember to pick this up if and when I get the DVD.

  • I think people calling it the greatest film ever made is a way to encourage Warners Bros. to keep the franchise in the direction it's going and not backslide into Schumacher-land.

"Dark Night" is not the greatest movie ever made but it's really terrific and the right direction for the series.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to seeing Mike and the boys take a swing at it.

  • TV's Frank!

  • Idiots! That is what I call anybody who thinks this was the greatest movie of all time. It was good- or rather Heath Ledger was good. Michael Keaton was a way better Batman. This movie is not even in the upper tier of greatest movies- just one of the greatest performances. Riff Trax-bring it on baby!!! I am ready to lol.

  • Stones, gentlemen! Sheer effing stones! Looking forward to see if you can pull this off.

  • Yes I knew they would get around to it! Thank you Rifftrax!

  • I, personally, love to make fun of things I actually enjoy. I think the RiffTrax guys actually liked this film as well as several others that they heckle. It's no fun to go through all the trouble of doing things like this for something you actually hate.

  • I think they liked some of the ones they did - Lord of the Rings movies and Casino Royale they both were surprisingly light on those. However, I perceived their tone toward things like Transformers and a great number of comic book movies (especially Fantastic Four-Kevin called it a "stinky, rained-on dog turd") hinting at something of a dislike, at the very least, at most a seething hatred. I don't think that they're trying to be characters, but genuinely want to deflate a blockbuster sometimes.

  • don't take it too hard they always have to give an impression to themselves that the movies stink that's what fuels there riffs plus they just make fun of movies that the most fans want them to make fun of so its by the fan's requests they are just doing it to add to the fun of the movie that way your in suspense while wetting your pants in laughter its a win, win!

  • I have no doubt that there are some they actually do dislike but I think ones such as this they actually enjoyed and just want to poke fun of because they enjoy it.

  • The description on their site would lead me to assume otherwise, but you might be right. I know for a fact that Kevin liked The Two Towers, Memento and Alien but riffed on them anyway. I think they may be, like I was at one point, just tired of the hype and are seeking to deflate it. :)

  • Their description on the site seems very tongue and cheek to me. Now me, maybe I'm a masochist, but I love to mock the things I love. I LOVE the short lived TV show The Dresden Files, but half my videos heckle it.

  • It's fun to make fun of stuff you like!

  • Very this. It's easy to make fun of bad movies. The challenge is in making fun of GOOD movies.

  • This is apropos of... Oh, I get it. The delusion that this is good, somehow.

  • You're welcome to your opinion, but a very large amount of people (myself included) thought the film was good. If it wasn't good, would it have made a billion dollars worldwide in its original theatrical run?

And tell me this: would you be whining if they riffed a film you did think was good? Or would you be applauding them for taking a "risk" in riffing a "beloved" film?

Pull the stick out of your ass and remember that not everybody has the same opinion as you.

  • In answer to your first question: yes, it would. It didn't stop Titanic from making a lot of money, despite the extremely poor quality of said film.

With regard to the second, they haven't yet, and I don't consider offending fanboys such as yourself to be whining.

There's no need to get so offended, dear boy. Calm down and stop believing hype. You might even save money that would otherwise be squandered on tripe, such as a movie about a man that likes to dress in a bat fetish outfit.

  • -1/1.2

  • I think they're doing it precisely because of that mentality. Read the description on the website.

  • why so serious?

  • i like the movie too but greatest movie of all time? Come on! Why so serious? ;)

  • I really liked this movie, but was a bit deflated by all of the hype, about the "transcendent" performances and how it was untouchable and the best film of the past 5 years and all this other hoopla. If you read Rifftrax's description of it, they felt essentially the same. So as soon as I can rent again (a day or two), count me among the people dying to hear this track.

  • wow, I thought rifftrax would ruin this film but it's the opposite. this is very funny!

  • i actually didnt like the dark knight that much but heath ledger was just simply amazing and deserves an oscar for it

  • Dark Knight = Great movie

Dark Knight Rifftrax = Greatest movie EVER

  • rifftrax, are you there? I love you!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG I can't believe there's a Rifftrax of this, lol.

  • I thought this movie was awesome, but I'd love to see the rifftrax nonetheless lol!

  • I now have an excuse to watch "The Dark Knight".

  • "Why so serious?"

"Then we both started cracking up. It was nice really."

  • And then we both started cracking up!

  • "My father was..."

    A badger.

  • Was he a southern preacher? LOL

  • I miss Trace's Crow,he would be funnier in Rifftrax.

  • -Those are your clothes Alfred, I told you I'll do if you made one more stupid joke.

-Yeah, put the dead bloody clown on my $12,000 slate table.

    -Is this a long story?

I already bought this rifftrax and is hilarious!

  • Whoa, what?! No way. No WAY. A Rifftrax for Dark Knight? I GOTTA see this! [pulls out credit card]
