  • i'd love to go here, when i finish college in england

  • I am go glad i attend this University... I feel at home even though i already live in LB

  • Very nice. Great campus. Great video.

  • im considering this school to transfer to but the thing im worried about is that since its so close to home, it'll feel like going to a cc all over again ..

  • Im considering long beach

  • @yungstunna559 2.0 GPA or higher, 1 year of both life and physical science, 2 or 3 years of foreign language, 4 years of the other subjects.

  • Wow at 1:13 with the plane, but overall, I want to go to this University when I graduate high school in 2 years(:

    Nice video<3

  • Thank you. I was asked to make the shots more dynamic by including planes, clouds and buildings in my shots of the school but unfortunately the flightpath didn't seem to cooperate and that's almost the only plane I saw that day. Best of luck in school and have fun :)

  • I graduated from CSULB in 1977 and am currently making 25K per year wow glad I went to college.

  • @TheJomogogo buwahahaha. College aint for everyone. What did you major in?

  • @mikester9er

    Marketing.

  • @TheJomogogo your own fault, I know an estate agent who makes 100K and he graduated from a public college too

  • Go Beach!

  • I'm transferring here soon!

  • calis a million times better then the bay area florida

  • @yungstunna559 it depends, if you have a high GPA you can have a low SAT score (which was my case) - if you have a high SAT score, you can have a low GPA. Get my drift. This probably doesn't help you out since you asked 5 months ago, but whatever.. lol

  • I LOVE this university. I transered here from U.C.L.A. and I never looked back. At U.C.L.A. I felt that the professors were more interested in their research than in teaching the students, at C.S.U.L.B. I felt the professors really cared about their students. Great memories and a great education there!

  • i pay little under 2 grand a semester its very practical for the quality of education that ure goin to recieve

  • GO BEACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • does anyone no how much it costs to go to longbeach? I want to study architecture

  • is that the american pie location ?

  • FOR yungstunna::

the grade requirements to get into long beach are very competetive, especially for the fall 2010 year. due to the recent budget cut's in california, the csu system has been forced to reduce enrollment, including csulb. also, due to the economy, more people are trying to go to school to get a degree. for the fall 2010 semester, csulb got 71000 applications and can only accept 7% of them. which is INSANE. Cal Tech is not that competitive.

  • It's great to see my Alma Mater again. I haven't set foot at the Beach since 2006. It's great to see a video of the hallways and places where I walked from freshman year to senior year. Great job!

  • thank you :D

  • My Alma Mater. I graduated from CSULB in 1969. Glad to see some of the progress made on campus.

  • didnt show the business building :O(

  • I hope I can transfer to there.

  • me too(((

  • im a freshy here:] haha very nice campus

  • wow...i'm totally impressed and you made the buildings look interesting in so many different angles

  • thank you~* :D it took forever to tape all that. I ended up sunburned and sweaty on the sunny days and cold on the nights I went out. I wish I had gotten to use one of the little electric carts, but I had to lug the camera and tripod on foot during the short periods I was allowed to borrow it.

  • 2 more years

  • CALIFORNIA IS THE BEST STATE EVER

  • ill be there next year

  • STRONG BEACH!!!!!!

  • great video! :) do you know if it's hard to get accepted at csulb as an international student? i'd love to go there for one semester :)

  • look on their website.

  • @mikepasek iam in the end of my junior year of high school, got 2 more months, i am going to apply to cslb, before than, i am going to do as much community service as I can and keep going to community college

  • looks nice

  • i really hope i can go to this school when its my time. it seems so nice. wooow i really can't wait for college

  • me too =D

  • what kinda high school gpa do you need to get into csulb?

  • I LOVE MY SCHOOL! GO BEACH!!

  • i went to the Long Beach State University... i'm an italian boy...

  • awesome video! you made me miss the beach! *=(

  • I want to go to Long Beach, but i know TOO much people that go there or that is going there.

  • i dont think u will make it to long beach because ur english is horrible. its too many people not too much. jkjkjk yea long beach is great. Trust me, long beach is a great place you should go there.

  • well ur pretty much SOL.. csulb is great i went to poly and a lot of people claimed to go there so far i have only seen like 20 people that went to poly and u hardly see them bcasue there is alot of people and a big school so its like woah!

  • SOL? what is that? my friend goes to poly as well. san luis tho not sonoma. and yea, what u said about being sooo many people is true, but nonetheless its pretty cool at csulb. i dont go to csulb no more and currently attending SJSU.

  • im from england and looking to go to long beach in 2010

    =]

  • umm if ur gonna be international, the price of tutition will be off the charts. LB is one of the lowest for tutition but when ur international, its crazy. but if LB has the major u want and u know that the program is good than go for it. its a good school.

  • You mean the fees gonna be costly for international students? Any idea on whats the fees gonna be for international student? Actually i planning to get into csulb but from what u said makes me think twice ):

  • the tuition overall for international for any college in the US is costly. 2-3 times as much as a regular person would pay. but thats what u gonna be spending if u want to go to college in the us

  • Not usually that windy there. Nice video.

  • love the night shots

  • hey im from london

and im thinking about going long beach

    not sure atm =/

  • Great Video! CSULB grad from 1997. Great University! Good job on filming the different areas of the campus. Awesome job.

  • thank you~!

  • what a great video! awesome am very proud of my university :) GO BEACH!!!

  • GO BEACH!! CSULB GRAD 2008!

  • I like the shot of the airplane going through (behind) the building.

  • how beautiful! I'm proud of my university! :)

  • yea thanks, great~* :T

  • Nice video. Go Beach!

  • thanks~

  • go beach!!!

  • wow that's really cool..i like making videos too and i got accepted there. i plan to attend =) i want to take a film class because i like making little vids here and there. oh and is skating alowd on campus?

  • Congrats~. I remember seeing a lot of students ride their skateboards to class. Even huge surfboard sized custom skateboards. Campus is really big, so a lot of students drive to campus, park, then bike or skate to class. It's about a 25 minute walk (if you're quick) from the Pyramid parking lots to the Film classes which are on opposite ends of campus. Best of luck~

  • Skateboards are illegal on campus, but I only ever got caught (warned) once in 6 years. Stick to places where cop cars can't drive and keep a look out and you'll be fine. Beautiful video, I love the night shots. They remind me of walking back to Parkside after late classes once campus was almost empty.

  • csu long beach seems pretty nice... too bad didnt apply there.

what's the pyramid for? i see that every week but never knew what its for

  • I went in there once and saw stadium seating and a basketball court with a volleyball court set up in the middle.

  • If you ever happen to remember, please let me know -- there's a lot to sort through at Newgrounds! but it's now one of my favorite websites :)

  • I'm a fellow Cal State student -- great vid -- I do similar stuff as a broadcast journalist and freelancer.

What's the music track? I like it :-)

  • sweet, just got accepted here.

  • *~congratulations~*

  • cool....

  • You need a shot of the building at 1:44 from the other side. That's gotta be the nicest building there. If you got classes in there you should have to pay more. All my classes are in the LA buildings which are old and run down. Nice vid tho man.

  • I do have that shot, but I had a deadline so there are dozens of shots that I didn't have time to stick in there :L

Agreed, that is one of the nicer buildings on campus. I only had one class in there.

  • Nice edit! whoa 1:09 looks crazy

  • Holly cow dude!! this is soooooo cooool!! great mini film!!!

  • awesome video of our school :D

  • so when will it be done dude?

  • thanks for the comments everyone.

I'm not finishing it. I'm working on different projects now.

  • Nice video of my alma mater but you left out the two best parts of campus....The Nugget and the WOMEN!!!!

  • I'd say you have a very bright future in film, TV prod, vLogging, vidcasting (if you do that ;)

Good Luck with your Creative Career and GO BEACH!

  • Very nice. I spent a summer there in 2006. This video brings back memories. Thanks for sharing!

  • Digital is better than film as long as you use the right lenses and adapters. Anyway the reason this looks like home video is I used what was available, a Sony PD-150. The timelapse I did with my own Digirebel XT but not wanting to ruin it by overworking it, I decided to stop. Also the timelapse took several hours to shoot in the frigid cold.

  • You should have used film, it looks like home video

  • thankss...

  • Great choice of music. Nice and clean footage; good work mickey man.
