  • 7:38 - 7:56 unbelievable!!!

  • Amazing performance.

  • A karmester: Mura Péter (jelentős magyar karmester - 1924-2009), kísér az ÁHZ = Állami Hangversenyzenekar. A felvétel (érzésem szerint) 1970 körül készült a budapesti Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Főiskola Nagytermében. (2011. 7. 26.)

  • AMazng pianist and wonderful performance. FIrst heard her playing through youtube. I hope more will come to appreciate her artistry.

  • great Annie...

  • Oh my God, this conductor... :))) it´s so funny.

But Annie Fischer is GREAT! Thank you.

  • I have to listen to Annie Fischer on daily basis.

She is my diet, my drug, my joy and slowly I am able to ignore the conducting of Peter Mura too...

  • oh my god! oh my god my god my very most beautiful god! she is brilliant.

  • eribani, you are a prince for sharing this performance with the world. Annie always displays musicianship of the highest quality. And she had a special gift for Beethoven and Schumann.

  • Thank you, eribani, for posting these performances. There's always something quite special in Annie Fischer's fearless openness to the music she is playing. She goes where it takes her, rather than imposing control or reining back, which is not at all to say that she lacks control or reticence when called for. For me, she is the epitome of what emotional intelligence in music is about - and the gurus who pontificate on emotional intelligence might learn something if they listened to her.

  • what a WONDERFUL pianist and musician !! Annie Fischer plays with great expressiveness in every character in the music but never "precious"in fine moments, nor just bombastic in strong ones. her notes have presence, like fast melodies but never as mere 'passages'. She plays with SENTIMENT but never "sentimentality". she was a gift to music.!

  • well said..bravo

  • definately, one of the rarest emergies ( Fischer)

  • electrifying!

  • Thank you so much for sharing this, Eribani! And if, at any time, you'd like me to translate any of the notes attached into English, just let me have them and I'll do so with pleasure...

  • umm this is Beethoven.

  • Absolutely fantastic! Best version I've ever heard. What power and clarity! What poetry and energy! Most remarkable indeed.

  • As always, Fischer is such a joy. I saw her play the Hammerklavier in the '80s. Best recital I've ever seen (tho' Michelangeli playing the Emperor came a close 2nd!). Thank you eribani!

  • BTW, who are the conductor and orchestra?

  • no idea, the titles are in Hungarian so I'm guessing it's some local orchestra + conductor. I only got these vids via via via etc..

  • The Conductor is Peter Mura - or in Hungarian - Mura Peter. A famous Hungarian conductor - still alive, and teaching.

  • Thank you. I'm aware of Mura, but I've never seen him before. Excellent conductor.

  • OMG!!! I was expecting an audio clip or, maybe, a video excerpt at most. But here is Annie Fischer "in person" playing not only the complete "Emperor", but also the complete Chopin and Liszt first concertos.

What a treasure trove!! Thank you so much, Eribani.

  • The great novelist, James Purdy, was once asked, regarding one of his novels, "What does it really mean?" He replied, "Did you read the novel?" Response, "Yes." Purdy, "That's what it means." Response, "But, can't you say more about what it means?" Purdy, "No. I wrote it. That's what it means." Ergo, this performance of Beethoven's 5th. If you don't know what it means, listen to Maestra Fischer, and if you still don't know, listen again, and again. Eventually, all questions will be answered.

  • Thank you so much once again marvellous
