The Boeing BWB lifting body design stolen from (sorry 'inspired' by) visionary aeronautical designer VINCENT J BURNELLI, is to become the blast from the past that is the wave of the future in heavy lift cargo and long haul passenger air travel.
@1greenMitsi the design was created by the Nazis but they haven't achieved stealth yet. To create stealth, American scientist went back to the Nazi designs and they achieved it!!
Boeing will definitely win this contest !! it's a beautiful airplane ..blended wing design..better gliding means fuel efficient. The plane can take more passengers more room to sit, and more passenger means airlines can keep the cost down. Fuel also plays a major role in this new design for 2025. Lastly this plane looks more practical than the other two.
@laslos3 Nothing basically , if we haven`t stolen some schematics from aliens, we have nothing (except NASA is expanding their knowledge about Plasma powered rockets which can go to Mars in 39 days, today with normal rocket it needs about 1 years...)
selling old wine in new bottles. those aircraft designs aren't new. they are more like helpless attempts to make airplanes look different. I know what the future of flight will be like: No flight at all.
@gta386 no he just reduced to amount of money they get, so they had to stop an amount of operations like the shutttle so now they fly up with the russians
lol The future looks a lot like the past. I'm all for fuel-efficient passenger jets to replace the existing high-octane polluter kings of the skies, but other than a few advancements in engine tech the only thing different about these jets are the size, the material of the body and the PRICE! The Northrop is a 60s design, the Boeing is the 90s stealth design and the Lockheed is a 50s design. Fit more people, maybe get 20 more miles a gallon, looks cool, nothing more. It's still fossil fuels!
The 1st and 3rd will never fly. Bad design, like the Osprey. If they waste enough money they might make them work, but they suck from a practical standpoint.
@niggerfuckshitreborn The 3rd one with the giant engine pushing all of that thrust through a tiny little tail will shake itself apart and the 1st one would never be balanced. I spent a few wars hanging around a flight school when I was ~10. I studied every bit of video they had on the subject. I'll bet you $ #1 and #3 get scrapped and never make it off the drawing board.
It's amazing how far technology has come despite all the obstacles to prevent it's progress. Japan actually made it's very first long range stealth fighter and tested it about a month ago. It makes me very excited knowing that technology is just going to keep on going.

I like Boeing designs the best.
They have wide bodies for the increasing passenger count demands. Plus being blended wing body, I think they would be very stable in air. Am I wrong?
