The language is ancient Norwegian, aka. the language from which Icelandic evolved from. This is probably closer to modern day Icelandic than it is to Norwegian :)

"The meaning of the word Iselilja is uncertain. When asked in an interview, Gunnhild Sundli (vocalist for Gåte) and Sveinung Sundli (fiddle, keyboards) said that they themselves do not know its exact meaning. A translation that has been suggested is Ice-lily (because Is translates as Ice, and lilja is similar to lilje, which translates as lily), however it is also possible that Iselilja is a name (probably female), and has no meaning."
