Really nice groove and AMAZING tone! I'm actually look after a 1986 streamer but with Seymour pickups. You have EMG pickups isn't it? Is it all original?
Is there any video in youtube with solid bass tone not slap? I want hear solid warwick bass tone. And sorry no solos just solid bass tone. Please help me find it...
Yeah I'm going to be playing pertty hard so I want something that can handle that. I'm going to get some medium Kerly nickel plated 5-string bass strings because those are really good.
I got the black labels on my 5'er at the moment. They are probably the most impressive strings I've played so far (have tried rotosound 66's, DR loriders, DR black beauties, D'addario XL prosteels, fender pure nickels .
The low B doesn't feel or sound quite as consistent as the other strings, but it is a heavier gauge than usual (.135)
They are good value though, and have plenty of brightness.
I've a question about the warwick bass: it seems to have a very deep and quite heavy sound, but is it possible to have a smooth, light and warm tone with a warwick ?
I used a BassPod XT for recording and the Warwick lost a little bit of warmth because of the amp-simulation I used. Since then I managed to get a warmer sound with the POD by useing different settings.
Nice playing. Nice sound but I prefer the finger-played-sound than the slap on Warwick basses... I don't know why, but it's the case with your video and with the Streamer Jazzman of a friend. Good job anyway!
I think it's good for recording but you have to find the right amp-cab-mic combination. Most of the combinations will change the instrument's sound too radically.
I just bought a Covette F.N.A. Jazzman, the old version with only one pickup ^^. man it's the best bass I have ever been playing, I got it for 1340.73 EUR. it was 670.37 EUR. off ^^ pretty nice deal :D and one of the greates basses ever !!! and itsin Burgundy Red or how it's spelled haha ;D
Dude you are really great at playing that bass !!! KEEP IT UP !!!

I have a question about strings, I know that Nickle plated strings usually sound the best but should I get heavy medium or light strings?
BrutalEpicMetal 2 years ago
that depends on what tuning you want and the scale of your bass
thepoison1627 2 years ago
I have a 35 inch scale and my tuning is BEADG. Just standard, I'm only beginning so I'm not doing a bunch of tunings, and I might not.
BrutalEpicMetal 2 years ago
i recomend you get some Medium gauge strings
my favorite brand are the Warwick Black Label Stainless-Steel strings

Warwick stuff is awesome.

I like the Yellows Label NBTW thepoison how well do the black labels last?
SlappyTheElf 2 years ago
they last pretty damn long
since stainless steel doesnt rust, they'll last unless you severely dent them or something
my friend, a guitar teacher, put some Black Labels on an old Jazz Bass in her class room 10 years ago, and they still sound great
but some people don't like the feel of stainless steel, but if you like the Yellow Labels, you'll probably like the Black Labels

Don`t wanna play the know it all but i tried the pod extensively, it`s nice when played solo but i coudn`t get it to sound descent in a live setup.
It just didn`t cut through.

jwcbronski 3 years ago
Very tight playing but i think the pod is taking away the might of the sound.
Keskin1975 3 years ago
Yeah you're right. At the time I didn't know how to setup the Basspod properly. Now I know better...

wonderful playing! reeeeeeaally smooth nice balanced slap! did u use a compressor? if you do pls tell me what kind! :D
And the sound of your bass is awsome! btw I have a spector which u probably know features the same body as the streamer. cheers! :)
JahreedST 3 years ago
Thanks a lot. I used the compressor that is build into the Basspod. It's modelled after a famouse studio-compressor.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
because they dont take time to learn a melody. I noticed the same thing and 1 out of 99 vids will be random slapping.
