  • Really nice groove and AMAZING tone! I'm actually look after a 1986 streamer but with Seymour pickups. You have EMG pickups isn't it? Is it all original?

    Respect.

  • Thanks! Yes, the EMG pickups are original but I replaced the old MEC electronics with a newer one.

  • Thanks for your answer. Indeed it really sound great, it's the tone I want since soooooooOOOO much time.....don't you sell it;)?!

    You're the man.

    Greetings from France.

  • Muy buenoo locoo! saludos y ÉXITOS, seguí asi :)

  • Vary nice dude!!! Groovyyyy!!!! Yaeh, finally NOT another Expert Village garbage!!!!

  • crazy

  • wicked player man. good bass + good player = :D:D:D

  • have the same one ! :)

  • niiice . nice =]

  • this is a realy good sound, you have found a realy good bass there, never get rid of it that is a bass to repair and keep

  • damn that is CLEAN!!!

  • strings??

  • Is there any video in youtube with solid bass tone not slap? I want hear solid warwick bass tone. And sorry no solos just solid bass tone. Please help me find it...

  • hey man what is price of that warwick?

  • mmmm.. Very nice!

  • this is what i call seinfeld funk.. great groove you got.

  • Pure 70´s Porn Movie Theme !! great sound!!!

  • lol

  • i loled so fucking hard at your comment

  • daaaaaaammmmnn...fun fun key..kkkey

  • what key is it in?

  • I am guessing A

  • Maybe G.

  • I have my bass in my arms right now, and you're correct.

  • baaaad ass...yiiiiiiiiih

  • older ones defintly sound way better i should know i own a 91 thumb nt 5 st germany made goos stuff

  • I have a question about strings, I know that Nickle plated strings usually sound the best but should I get heavy medium or light strings?

  • that depends on what tuning you want and the scale of your bass

  • I have a 35 inch scale and my tuning is BEADG. Just standard, I'm only beginning so I'm not doing a bunch of tunings, and I might not.

  • i recomend you get some Medium gauge strings

my favorite brand are the Warwick Black Label Stainless-Steel strings

  • Yeah I'm going to be playing pertty hard so I want something that can handle that. I'm going to get some medium Kerly nickel plated 5-string bass strings because those are really good.

    Warwick stuff is awesome.

  • I like the Yellows Label NBTW thepoison how well do the black labels last?

  • they last pretty damn long

since stainless steel doesnt rust, they'll last unless you severely dent them or something

my friend, a guitar teacher, put some Black Labels on an old Jazz Bass in her class room 10 years ago, and they still sound great

but some people don't like the feel of stainless steel, but if you like the Yellow Labels, you'll probably like the Black Labels

  • I got the black labels on my 5'er at the moment. They are probably the most impressive strings I've played so far (have tried rotosound 66's, DR loriders, DR black beauties, D'addario XL prosteels, fender pure nickels .

The low B doesn't feel or sound quite as consistent as the other strings, but it is a heavier gauge than usual (.135)

They are good value though, and have plenty of brightness.

  • Just to update I am using the warwick red labels at the moment and they sound good and are lasting very well.

  • great playing, great bass!

  • Very nice. Great control. I'm feeling it. a pleasure to watch your smooth funky style.

  • i have to download this vid man.

  • man, you're so groovy ! it's amazing !

I've a question about the warwick bass: it seems to have a very deep and quite heavy sound, but is it possible to have a smooth, light and warm tone with a warwick ?

  • Thanks!

I used a BassPod XT for recording and the Warwick lost a little bit of warmth because of the amp-simulation I used. Since then I managed to get a warmer sound with the POD by useing different settings.

  • groovy as hell dude

    lovin it!

  • Sweet! What pickups you got on that one?

  • My streamer has the MEC's

  • Wow! A few months ago I bought teh exact same streamer! They had put it on discount.

I did know it was an old bass, but I didn't know it was all the way from 1985!

Does this one have the MEC pickups too?

  • cherrywood body, wenge neck, EMG pickups

  • I love this video.

  • The sound of this bass is AWESOME !!!!

And you're so good ! With a groovy style like yours, this bass can only sound great !

  • Nice playing. Nice sound but I prefer the finger-played-sound than the slap on Warwick basses... I don't know why, but it's the case with your video and with the Streamer Jazzman of a friend. Good job anyway!

  • Does anyone got experience with the Spector Legend 4

  • I have the legend 5 classic

  • Don`t wanna play the know it all but i tried the pod extensively, it`s nice when played solo but i coudn`t get it to sound descent in a live setup.

    It just didn`t cut through.

  • I think it's good for recording but you have to find the right amp-cab-mic combination. Most of the combinations will change the instrument's sound too radically.

  • Very tight playing but i think the pod is taking away the might of the sound.

  • Yeah you're right. At the time I didn't know how to setup the Basspod properly. Now I know better...

  • wonderful playing! reeeeeeaally smooth nice balanced slap! did u use a compressor? if you do pls tell me what kind! :D

And the sound of your bass is awsome! btw I have a spector which u probably know features the same body as the streamer. cheers! :)

  • Thanks a lot. I used the compressor that is build into the Basspod. It's modelled after a famouse studio-compressor.

  • -.- why do people ALWAYS do slapping/popping on previews

  • Cause it's fun! :)

  • nailed it!!!!!!

thats why i love bass, so versatile, so good, so FUN!

  • It's a nice way to incorporate some drumlike rhythm into the playing.

  • I have the same one! :)

  • I just bought a Covette F.N.A. Jazzman, the old version with only one pickup ^^. man it's the best bass I have ever been playing, I got it for 1340.73 EUR. it was 670.37 EUR. off ^^ pretty nice deal :D and one of the greates basses ever !!! and itsin Burgundy Red or how it's spelled haha ;D

Dude you are really great at playing that bass !!! KEEP IT UP !!!

    PEACE ^^

  • simply amazing..do you know where can i buy those vintage streamers?

  • they sometimes appear on german ebay.

  • Great playing and that Streamer sounds really cool!! love Warwick.

  • If you guys like to talk Warwick bass gear we have a bass forum chock full of Warwick freaks.

  • i seriously luv it.

    well done

  • man ive always wanted a warwick but i never want to pay more then 700 =( haha

  • a used corvette can go under 700.l saw one going for 675 last month. Idiot me didn't jump on it...

  • i got my streamer lx on ebay for about 700. it was maybe slightly used..just keep an eye open

  • Yes, it's a less expensive Warwick Bass. I don't know how it sounds compared to my Streamer. It might be quite different.

  • I could listen to this all day!

  • NICe, What amp do you use?

  • I recorded into a Line6 Bass Pod XT set to simulate an Eden Amp.

  • Good improvisation

    Good technique

    Thanks

  • great tone!

  • thank you!

  • I have a Streamer Pro M.I love it!!Warwicks are the best basses. Honestly.

  • Playing and sound are very nice. I am really gonna have to start getting that jazzy finesse in my slap...ahh I have need of a metronome haha.

  • Bravo pour le jeu et quel son!!!!
