Stunning. My pastor (the best in the world, by the way) happened to include the poem (originally in Gaelic) as a major part of his sermon today; re the "Peace" theme, I started thinking about Rutter's version of the Prayer of St. Francis ("Lord, Make Me an Instrument"--look for the Cambridge Singers version on YT), which I had sung in college; I talked to the choir director about it; and he told me Rutter had done a version of this specific poem from the sermon. Sometimes YT is worth it.
I remember your comments and still appreciate them. Was disappointed to see them inadvertently removed and I almost re added them. I never tire from listening to this piece. Thanks for commenting.
I've never heard a live performance of this piece and I wouldn't miss one given the opportunity. I do however have four different arrangements and enjoy all of them.
I first heard this song on a Hearts of Space program that mentioned it used as a tribute to the Columbine High shooting victims. I have several different arrangements and it is one of my long time favorite choral pieces.
can someone please identify the actual composer of this piece? It is NOT Rutter.

@brucerlarson sorry for the late reply. I have corrected the the title and removed Rutter. The composer is Bill Douglas
