Actually the reason Gouki did ex hadoukens after some crouch MKs is because they don't leave a gap in the attack string. If he used a normal hadouken, Guile can ex flash kick through that.

I feel you man. When I heard this game announced forever ago I couldn't wait for Guile then I saw how much the game really changed when it hit arcades.

actually...not really. i really isn't as raw as he could be, much less the higher ranked characters. and i'm saying this cause he's my main. still love him though. like for instance, there's really no purpose to use the FAC into another attack. you can only do it with sonic boom and the damage usually isn't worth the meter so it seems. also if you cancle a connected flash kick i don't even think you can combo afterwards.

No you can't combo, but its a safe way to flash kick on wake up and still be safe if they block. No way to react fast enough knowing weather it will hit or not. But ultimately its for safety.
