The reason I disliked it, is it paints an extremely narrow view of modern animal research. It takes the worst possible treatment of animals, without any background or citations, and applies it as if it were typical, to the whole. In effect saying; if you test anything on animals (no matter how well you treat the animals, or how good your reasons), you're equivalent to the researchers on the video.

Also, what do you do when you see a mouse or rat in your house? You don't feed it and let it roam around. You kill it. And I bet that most of these people that protest animal testing would do the same thing. Hypocrites. So it's okay to kill something in your house, but when a company does it, OH!!!! All of the supposed "experiments" that Mars candy has done have all been on mice, rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is no proof that Mars has done anything to any kind of other animal such as Monkeys, Dogs, Cats, etc. And even if these experiments are real, it's more like doing the world a favor. I'm not saying that these animals deserve to die, but all the animals that they are testing on, reproduce like CRAZY. I'm pretty sure there's not going to be a world wide extinction on rats or mice.

1. Its PETA (they are liars and sabatours)
2. Mars would have no reason to use animal testing, its candy.
3. This video seems to be about ALL OTHER kind of animal testing that is horrid and cruel to make you look and think, then say something about Mars, that is most likey true.
Do some research on PETA, you might learn some things you won't like.

2. yeah. they have no reason. doesn't mean they aren't doing it anyway :\ they might think it benefits them since they're testing the effects their candy will have on people long term.
3. yeah animal testing IS horrid :\ but it even lists what the Mars candy DID or funded in animal testing :( like drown a bunch of baby mice and the ones that get to the clear dock just get disected..

@flcl64 many companies invest in or are some way involved with other companies that support such things as animal testing, sweatshops, etc...you never know, (unless you research), what kinds of things you are supporting by purchasing something as insignificant as a candy bar. this is why it's good to do your research, or be sure to buy local, sustained, fair trade, organic/truganic items.
