Islam is peace not pacifism learn the difference. Muslims respect peoples rights to worship whatever religion they want (no idols though) and we have our laws.
Non-muslims only pay the Jizya and those who could not afford it were exempt from paying it (it was no exorbitant) while Muslims pay the Zakat, Ushr and Khums. With this non-Muslims are afforded equal access to healthcare, education and protection under the law so what's there to complain about?

Instead of reading Quran to ourselves, we recite this book back to Allah s.w.t Who in the first place had revealed It to us through the Holly Prophet s.a.a.s .so that we could understand it and follow it.
Even the SALAT, we repeat 50 times a day without making any effort to understand it or act upon, what we say.

@onglez There is abselutly no way of proving there is a God (Allah) nor of how he created the universe. But as a human being, weather you believe in any faith or you are an Atheist you still have a duty to question your excistance. Why there is only life on this planet, where we go after death and how you have come to exist.
By simply believeing that everything came along as a result of a 'BigBang' is simply preventing yourself from accepting other means of explanations. And yes I am a Muslim !
