hahaha... I laughed of those strange hippies girls dancing over there... And Paul is pretty funny *and cute there. LOVED THIS SONG! (it is really a mess...)
'We're going to take a break now, and you are toooo....' - that's how he starts the B-side version on My Love. Seen him a few times (first in 1973, latest at Hampden June 2010) and I wish he'd dig this one out for the set. Great rocker, even at 68 (oh my gosh)
The blond guitartist is Henry McCullogh the lights are making him look blond. I first heard this song as the b side to My Love on my 45 record...remember them. This is a kick ass song..It would be cool if he pulled it out on the next tour, right? Too right!!
I love this live version even more than in studio. so who the hell has said that Macca and The Beatles were amazing only in studio? there's so many songs made in live by him or The Beatles who were way superior than recorded songs!
I really think Linda's presence had a calming effect on him and gave him more confidence in concert. After all, when he met her, and the Beatles were ending, she helped im get his confidence back. It may not have all been roses and sunshine, but they were devoted to each other. He hasn't been as relaxed on stage since he lost her.
@miladydoe Yes, it has been shown that marriage (to a woman) lowers a man's testosterone. This must account for the "calming" effect which you have noticed. Tragic!

Paul could rock out live....I always thought Wings was a great live band. From what I have seen and heard at least.

Mullets are business in the front and sides and party in the back. This is definitely party in the back but I don't see business anywhere.
This was called a shag cut at the time.

Actually, this song was not on the Red Rose Speedway LP, but a live version was included on the CD release.

I would pick Linda's tambourine over Yoko's triangle any day!

@gungasdindin That all depends on whether you prefer Linda's American grass or Yoko's yellow heroin!!

Great footage and an outstanding performance! I recently scored a studio demo for this song...I didn't even know he recorded one.

This is a very catchy song, especially the verses. Gets in your head... "sweet darling what a mess I'm in." Too bad there weren't more verses.

great! you only wish Paul could be so NOT self conscious nowadays... those days are gone. he was really enjoying himself back then! careless and fun!

Perfect example of where Linda might not have sang in tune. Did it matter?
NO.
Linda rocked too. Nobody wants to give her enough credit. She may have started out as just a fan, but she learned to rock. nuff said

Well put...I think so too. Linda gave her all...she had fun...and she was better than most give her credit for...really.

@johnnymoondog that's the great thing about the Beatles, their B-sides are better than most other bands A-side.
