Well, our pensions are UK based so it's the UK indigenous population as a whole you should be looking at, not Scotland on it's own.

As for saying we should let immigrants in because we are exploiting the third world, every country in the world has its own government, the sustainable answer is to educate these foreign governments to establish decent social policies for their people, the unsustainable answer is to continue to import into the UK millions of immigrants.

True, the state is a poor institution for governing our affairs, in fact if you look at politicians worldwide, from Stalin to Hitler, from Chairman Mao to Khmer Rouge to Mugabe, all they did was ruin millions of peoples lives.

On a rather lesser level the current political climate in the UK is to import millions of immigrants to the detriment of the indigenous people, we have 2.5 million unemployed, why let more immigrants in when jobs and housing are scarce?

Immigrants should not affect the number of jobs available since if they are working they also have an income which means they stimulate demand creating employment there is plenty to do we could find jobs for everyone if we tried - looking after the elderly and repairing the ecosystem

A lot of the income generated by immigrants is sent abroad, it is not spent in this country. Poland and the Philippines are both known for high receipts from their workers abroad.

@zurich1935 also housing is not scarce per se, what has happened since the 70s is that the government has artificially lowered interest rates, creating a greater demand for housing because people could risk loans they wouldn't have been able to risk if the interest on them regulated by the market., cause of this the price of houses is artifically high so no one can afford them, but they don't want to bring them down to normal either because people will have lost on their investments and default

If you look at interest rates in Europe and America since the 70's you will find that the UK has always had much higher interest rates, so that disproves the lowering interest rate theory.

The only thing that fuels house price rises is demand and supply, if too many people are chasing too few houses then the prices rise. The reason houses are so expensive in the UK is that supply is low and demand is high, so more immigrants simply add to the demand for housing.

I never said Jesus was Roman, I said he was born in the Roman Empire. Christianity first developed in the Roman Empire, so to claim Christianity as having developed in the Asia we know today is disingenuous.
