Brings a Tear to my eyes, This was one of the First songs I ever Sang in my church Choir as a Youth and I remember praising the LORD, Shouting as I sang it!! Thank You Lord for United Missionary Baptist Church, in Newark, NJ, Under the Pastorialship of the Late Rev. Dawson!! Thank You Lord for Blessing My Soul Then and Blessing me and my family Now!!
this came out in the late late sixties 1969 maybe. I remember this song well because we sang it back in the day at Green Ave. Baptist in Brooklyn, N.Y. I was still in High school. Wow! Thanks so much for posting. This was around the same time
the song 'I had a talk with God' was airing on the radio. So many great memories ago.
We used to sing this. lilmish12 has a page on here , not singing the song, but she used to have the solo to this song. she sounded just like this little girl.
i dont remember this song but i do, i must have heard it somwhere. i must of heard on wnap 1110 am, aka gospel hwy 11 radio station cause they play all the classic unlike all the praise station.(praise103.9 & etc..)
To town528, Praise the Lord, may the Lord bless you for taking your time to share this beatiful video with everyone. I am blessed as I hear the words, I made a vow to the Lord. Thank the Lord for these anointed songs that continue to bless us! Respectfully, servant4christ7
Whoooo, i used to sing this song in the first choir i ever joiined. The Crawford Chorus at Union Grove Baptist Church, Bronx, NYC. Regina, you prepped me, Gurl and I've been belting it out ever since. Love it! Blessings to you, regina. This vid gives me the chills....
OMG does anyone know of a website they might have or where I can order a copy from the album this single was on? I had it and lost it and have been looking forever for it!!!
I made a vow one day, I thank God he will keep you if you want to be kept. All this backslidding and coming back to God over and over should not be the God I serve will save and keep you.
Oh My God. Our Jr. Choir use to sing this song back in the Day. It brought chills. It reminds me of the vow I made to the Lord a long time ago. Thank You I needed this song. PTL!
Regina McCrary play in Tyler Perry Diary of a mad black woman. She was at the table playing cards with the character Joe and the other guy had on real big glasses. Regina is also in TP play Family Reunion as Browns wife Maddie she has also sung with Bobby Jones,
Wow! I remember this from the 70's. I was born again as a teen. Although it's been about 34 yrs., I still remember the vow and I'm still holding on to God's unchanging hand!
amazing! this child are blessed by God with a great voice!.. my wish is play guitar to the Lord in one these blessed churchs with my brothers in Christ.. play a blues to the glory of GOD
Keep on singing Regina & Ann, who r both members of Bobby Jones Super Choir each week, the entire McCary family is loaded with talent, inherited from the late well know Rev Sam Mccary from the famous Fairfield Four Singers, it's natural.
Wow, this song takes me back to my teenage years when we sang this song all the time. god bless you for sharing it with all of us. Would love to hear, "I want to live so God can use me." If anyone out there has it, please post!
I had the pleasure of fellowshipping with Regina and her late father and am not surprised how far God has lead her.I would love to hear, "We Are On Our Way"., which Regina lead as the choir processional.
And what a great choir you are! I sang with the Georgia Mass for a few years when I was down south and I know a good choir when I hear it. Nashville Super Choir is one of the best I've heard. God bless.
LOL, I thought that I would never hear this song again...i was in a group i high school and we sung this song and all the older people were standing up all in the spirit. I love this song...
This is awesome! I have the original album! Ohy my God! Just seeing this video is surreal! Please put more on from BC&M if possible! What a trip down memory lane!
I had a fit when I saw this listed on a compilation video my mother had. I always wanted to know what Regina McCrary looked like and I wanted to see her perform this live. This is a collectors item. It was my pleasure to post it.
This brings tears to my eyes. We used to sing this song back i late 70's. I always wondered who that powerful person was that sang this. I have the album. I never knew there was a video. It looks like they did a TV show of some sort, is this correct? Please post I want to live so God can use me. We sang that one too. What is Regina doing now; hopefully still singing for God. Thank you so much for posting, this is blessing me.
The lovely Regina McCrary is cuurently performing with her sisters as part of the Roseland Rhythm Revue. They are the backing band for roots blues and gospel singer Mike Farris. Check it out!
Regina McCrary has a web site. I am her web designer ... reginamccrary dot com . You can sign her guestbook on there. She'd love to hear from you. She is such a sweet woman. I love her so.
Thanks for your post. I was able to locate her website. I wanted to see a video of her performing this since the 1970s. I was delighted when my mother found the video. Give my best to her. I only wish her remake would have been this classic version. It would have had the same power and longevity. Don't fix what isn't broken.
@earlcousin Yes thanks for your response which says the following;
"There's always a coward piece of shit like you somewhere with something negative to say. LOOOOOL"
You call me a coward yet you seem to scared to use your course and abusive language in the light of public scrutiny. Why is that?
For my part, I apologise if my remark was hurtful to you. It was meant as constructive criticism, but I accept that I uttered it too flippantly and it was reasonable of you to interpret it as a put-down
Wow! After all these years, I thought it was just "one" person on the solo! Who knew that it was two people? I remember when that song was new! I'm 47 now--this is truly a "Gospel Music Classic."
