  • Well Miss TWTR4EVER (President of The Yahoo Mary Wilson "Fan Club") Your "Opinion" has as much significance as Miss Mary's Career ( Z E R O ), By the way, Diana's Daughter is an Ivy League Grad, Emmy Nominee & owns her own Real Estate Company

Mary's Daughter is an Unemployed High School Drop Out, Living with/off Mommy & weighs 400Lb's

Guess the Ross Gordy Gene Combo was Truely SUPREME

  • Hey! Is it just 'ME' or are more of you noticing that the Videos on Youtube are getting more and more out of sync lately!? It is becoming alittle unnerving to ME! I know that these videos, when they were first up were NOT doing this! I DO enjoy this, but it is stressing to have to deal with that bit of 'musicians' tension'! I Love this and really want to enjoy it the way I originally did when I saw it here! These Girls are SUPREME!

  • Diane, "THE LADY IS A TRAMP" because you took the time and effort to get into Motown Berry Gordy's pants gave him SEX FOR STARDOM, gain footing to control THE SUPREMES have him deliver you a "solo career" at the expense of the group and you had a BASTARD CHILD with the man! (Rhonda Silberstein Gordy Ross)

  • This video clearly validates that Diana, like her as a person or not, was an up-and-coming super star. (Sorry Florence Ballard fans . Flo was great, but no Diana.) Also, note Mary here, and so sorry to see her let herself go physically... She looks like all the other former stars who just blew up when they hit 60...Ronnie Spector, Aretha...even Mariah is already struggling with her weight. But in this video, Mary is "All Systems Go!"...and Cindy Birdsong is ...well, Cindy Birdsong!! Wow.

  • let's get away, Mary Wilson!

    love of mine

  • Good vid!

It may be just me, but this clip shouldn't be 40 years old. To me, it feels so current. Proof that great music spans the decades.

  • which one is Cindy and which one is Mary. Which was has the red tinted hair? Flo must have recently just left.

  • @thadxxx The one with the highlighted hair is Mary. She's on the top stair. Next down is Cindy. She replaced original member Florence Ballard mid-1967. The circumstances of Florence's departure from the group continues to be debated. The bottom stair is Diana. Mary is the only member to last from the beginning in 1961 to the end in 1977. Cindy was from 1967 to 1972 and again from 74 to 75. Diana left the group in 1970 to pursue her solo career.

  • I've just watched this clip 3 times. First time I focussed on Diana, then on Mary and last on Cindy. All 3 ladies are marvelous and all 3 are giving their all. Diana shows off her vocal power like there's no tomorrow. Actually I like this much better than the stuff I've seen her doing lately. I grew up in the 80s but now I can understand why she has a such a big name. Cindy and Mary are working that choreography to the max and their harmonies are very soulful. Mary moves are pure sex! Watch

  • i like. great harmony

  • Cindy looked as lovely and as sweet as ever.

  • What makes The Supremes so great is their individual personalities which clearly shine through here. Diana had undeniable drive and charisma, Mary had a definitive sultriness that was downright sexy, Florence was soulful, smart and sassy while Cindy was voluptuous and ultra sweet. They all compliment each other wonderfully.

  • i love it diana is amazing thanks for sharing

  • Diana Ross had the cross over appeal that caused mainstream to accept her rather than the other Mary and Flo. Diana Ross had a non-threatening look and voice--not too soulfoul, not to bland either--right in the middle.

  • @binstence PREACH! Everything you just said is so true and makes alot of sense.

  • I wish they sang more like this, you can hear all three like they are an actual group and diana sounds fantastic using her big belter notes that she never got to use much in the group! This was really amazing to see and hear how well they sing together!

  • I think all these years everyone listened too much to Mary! It was always her and her alone who made everyone turn on Diana and you REALLY do NOT no if what she has ever said is even true! Have you ever thought maybe Mary is the one making lies because she was never able to sing lead? you were never in the group so you don't know what went on but stop thinking everything Mary says about Diana is true just because she comes off as "The sweet one"!

  • Cholly Atkins came up with their stage routines and they were very choreographed even down to the stage patter. Flo innovated several ad libs that became mainstays. Mary used to say: "She's talking about us!", at the line;"I never bother with people I hate." Yes, they were ina class all by themselves.

  • That gesture and variations of it was part of their stahe routine for years. It is not a true indication of what was going on behind the scenes.

  • Diana Ross' charisma and charm show here

  • wow... their wigs didnt fall off... lol!

  • luved 5:00-6:09 it was talent

  • 1:31 cracks me up every time lol

  • i HATE the length of the dresses, why couldnt' they just make them floor length covering their shoes?? would that have been so difficult???!!

  • How does she do that grunt like that at 5:46?

  • When Diana Ross puts her arms out at 1:58 it looks so chic and so cool. I love The Supremes

  • At age 45, you were 5 or 6 years old when Diane LEFT the Supremes which means that you missed the legendary trio that became a show business phenomenon and established Diane as a legend along with Mary Wilson. By the time you became aware of the music world, Diane was already established as a solo act and Motown was promoting her legacy and hers alone, not the Supremes. Only someone 45 or younger would make such misinformed and unintelligent statements about the legendary Supremes! Diane lover!

  • There is no doubt that The Supremes of all the girl groups were the best in their presentation when they performed during their time. En Vogue would be the second and The Three Degrees.

  • This is what you call a DYNAMIC LEAD SINGER

  • I LOVVEEEE THE LADYY ISS A TRAMPPP

  • Diana Ross is sooooooo...sexy!

  • Man, if ONLY there was an mp3 of this version of lady is a tramp. Its so great!

  • I have an mp3.

  • I made it from this video file.

  • Someone was kind enough to send me a copy already. Thanks though!

  • can you send it to me? I don't know how to do that

  • Thanks for letting this still be posted. I could re-watch this 1,044 times...they were great here -- no other pop music artists their age in their genre at that time could match their talent, presentation and professionalism. Wow, what a visual treat always.

  • my pleasure

  • Why do DRats of 1968 sound better live as they do here? That's weird if you compare it to many of the singing stars of today.

  • i'll let you in on a secret... because they had something called "talent" whereas today's stars are chosen by their labels to be made famous because they're "marketable" -- there's a big difference, and in The Supremes you can see a rare combination of BOTH.

  • Ms. Ross was a completely different look, sound and appearance and it sold volumes and still does today... she was the voice and had the STAR quality to make them all famous.

  • Diane sure was the star big time!

  • Don't you mean that THE SUPREMES sure were the stars big time?????? Diane only existed then as ONE of THE legendary Supremes! What; wrong with you? Are you a nut or just too young and misinformed?

  • No, RoxyLucy is not a nut, he/she is dead on. It's clear to anyone that Diana won the charisma game here. She had the whole package.

  • Shouldn't your name be "Love The Diana Ross?" You are not a fan of the legendary Supremes when Diane was a part of something bigger and greater than herself! You are obviously a "Ross as a solo act" fan..... too young and too misinformed to have an intelligent conversation about the legendary SUPREMES!

  • You don't have to be ancient to appreciate the supremes and just because people like who they like does not make them unintelligent. . Sure, many just like the group and it is very clear that many like the group BECAUSE OF DIANA ROSS. That doesn't make their taste less significant. As a kid I was drawn to her. I was born in the seventies after she left however, it says much that a kid such as myself saw an image of them and was drawn to her. It's just a matter of taste. gee wiz!

  • I appreciate your point of view and your comments. A agree with you; however, there are those who want to absorb the legacy of THE SUPREMES into Diana Ross' legend. My role is to remind people that Diana Ross as a solo act is a direct result of the legacy of THE LEGENDARY SUPREMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LANORDA9 It's a matter of Good Taste! And you have it!

  • Everywhere I go you are there with your looney-tune analysis and just plain cock-eyed "informed views" on Diana Ross'career and talent. If The Supremes success was not a direct result of Diana Ross' mega-talent, then why were The Supremes not successful after Diana left and Diana Ross became an even bigger star with many, many more huge hits? Hits that I am sure you bought!!! Don't argue that they were successful, because really they were not. Without Diana, The Sup. would just be ----who knows.

  • Crud5 What's wrong with you? I have never said that Diane was not a huge part of the Supremes success. I have said over and over that Diane WAS NOT The Supremes. Their legend was bigger than the sum of any of its parts as illustrated by the success of the 70's Supremes without Diane and by the failure of The Return To Love Tour in 2000. My issue with you and Diane is that you want to see the Supremes as part of Diane's legacy.......her legacy as a solo act is result of THEIR legacy!

  • Oh yes, sir. Diana was indeed The Supremes. You know it and most of the civilized world knows it. What success of the 70's? You are joking, aren't you? Yeah, Diana was VERY successful during the 70's!!Any noteworthy success of the Sup.was BECAUSE of DR'S mega talent and their success was indeed NOTEWORTHY. There are a # of reasons for the failure of that tour. But have it your way. It doesn't change a thing--without Diana Ross, The Sup. would have been nothing.

  • Crud5, The failure of the Return to Love Tour in 2000 proved once and forever that Diane WAS NOT The Supremes! If Diane was all that mattered, the public would have not cared that Mary and Cindy were not there. The 1970's Supremes had 5 hit records without any promotion and EVERYONE knew that Diane was not there. Berry Gordy wanted the Supremes to die right away. It took longer than he expected....they died from neglect! I'm not sure that I like you, Crud5. You don't seem too insightrful!

  • Everybody calm down. No one disputes that Diana was wonderful. She had charm, class, and charisma. But remember...The Supremes had released 13 singles with her before they "hit." Their success was due to Motown, Gordy, and great writers. Diana reached the heights she reached at Motown after she left. She had hits as well as The Supremes but they never reached the heights they reached together. Let's love Mary, Cindy, Florence, and Diana and stop the arguing.

  • @crut5

Diana was certainly not The Supremes.

it was that combination of the three girls that made them famous. it was there SOUND that made them famous, not just Diana Ross. Sure she did play a part in the success, but it was (as i stated earlier) THERE SOUND!!!!!

  • Jesu Cristo, THEIR sound. THEIR THEIR THEIR!

  • LOL...LOL...LOL...LOL.. I was thinking the same thing reading that.... no offense.

  • @SinclairisCool Thank you for your response. You have proven that you can be a fan and still tell the truth without belitting the other two members of the group. I will say that Diana Ross should have never been part of any group, she was too independent thinking and selfish to be in one. I think she probably would have "made it" regardless, esp. having Berry Gordy by her side, guiding her career.

  • Crud Because Berry Gordy promoted HER career with all the resources and power of Motown behind her, that's why!. The Supremes continued to have hits after Diane left even without Motown behind them. That could only have gone on for so long! Berry Gordy has said that it cost Motown more in the 1970's to keep Diane a "star" than the company made from her. In short, the answer to your question is...............BERRY GORDY!!!!!!

  • the supremes had many hits after diana ross left..in the beginning the new supremes were selling more records than diana ross but motown slowly stop promoting the group as they did with many of thier artist...if the label does not suport a artist the hits will stop

  • Your'e full of shit, crut5. The Supremes had 8 top 40 hits without Diana Ross. Is ANY Supreme, especaially Diana having any top 40 hits now? no. Diana hasn't had one in over 20 years.

  • @yandrsupreme Records really aren't where it's at. It's the concerts that pull in the most money. Besides Diana doesn't need any more hits. With a career spanning 50 years , 18 number one hits, and several top 40 hits without Motown, $300million in the bank, the woman has done quite well for herself

  • @BlogShag As far as the music business goes, publishing is where all the real money's at. $300 million? Where'd you get that figure? Your source? I know she was worth $75 mill during the late 80's - don't see how her worth could have grown THAT much.

  • @crut5 WRONG!

  • Happy Birthday JP...50 today here also. Reflections, what a great song to celebrate a birthday!

  • Happy Birthday; Hope all your "Reflections" are good ones.

  • I am 50 y.o. today,...and it will never get any better than this,... THANK YOU for posting this,.....SUPREMES FOREVER

  • Happy Birthday!! Glad this brought you happiness on your big day.

  • They must have been wearing steel bras and girdles, nothing jiggles!

  • That was insulting and incendiary, but very funny.. LOL.. Steel bras? Ouch!

  • wow this is great . ive seen the reflections segment many times but never knew they came downstage and performed another song after that.

  • Jeeez, Mary and Cindy are workin' this performance. LOL! having the time of their life. Diana's charisma is remarkable. Yes and take note---notice how good they sound LIVE, compared to the talent of today???

  • yes- this is amazing. pure magic.

  • Diana is truly amazing here! The other Supremes harmonies are beautiful too! WOW!!!

  • One of my favorite perfomences and how mary and cindy brought those harmony great job luv it

  • work it girls

  • Very Gud video!!! Diana's looks changed espically with the make-up and she begins to wear those rings on her fingers. But continues to keep that great figure! She was the true noticebal star by this time.

  • I'm sorry, but whenever I see that a clip has Cindy instead of Flo, I'm ready to move on.

Nothing against Cindy. Just that in my mind, and also in the minds of many older people I know who grew up listening to the Supremes, the Supremes lost that indescribable magic touch when Flo left. Again, nothing against Cindy. Cindy and Flo actually seemed to be friends.

  • I suppose you are also partial to the first Darren on "Bewitched."

  • Well, I never watched "Bewitched." But if "Bewitched" was a cultural phenomenon wherein the first Darren named the show, recruited the cast members and also starred in the show while being a technically more proficient actor than anyone else on it, then I suppose yes - I would heartily prefer the original Darren on "Bewitched."

  • Cindy knows how to work those hips. Diana is so straight up and down!

  • In revisiting this clip, I can hear Mary over Cindy on Reflections but not on The Lady is a Tramp. The blend is awesome. As much as I loved Flo, she had a higher range than Cindy and sometimes sounded screechy. Mary and Cindy had a softer harmony sound.

  • i disagree u can barely hear cindy

  • I remember seeing this on TV over 40 years ago. I like that the sound was high enough so you can hear Mary's and Cindy's great harmony. Their vocals on "The Lady is a Tramp" are superb. I think their harmony is better than it was with Flo. Does anyone agree?

  • I love this song and this was a very classy performance. Diana looked good in that dress but at this time around she really was a walking stick lol. I just watched their performance of Cornet Man and she was soo thin. Though she was so cute looking all Josephine Baker-esque in that performance.

  • That was great.

  • Magnificent!

  • i love the key mary in on this song

  • love this copy, the voices sound so clear, so strong

  • You took the words right out of my lips!! You can actually hear Cindy and Mary. I've always loved everything about this song/performance. The vocals, the arrangement, the routine. Just love it.

  • 01:18 - 01:29 ==> Diana sings her ass off. She's just awesome. Uncomparable! It seems to me, that she didn't have to change her style so much when she left Supremes. Anyway she ooks great here.

  • Did Mary Diana and Flo orginally sing The Lady is a Tramp

  • no, it's just a jazz standard from as I remember Rodgers and Hart.

  • It really does sound like she's singing "as I pee out through the window of lost time" lol

  • Where on earth did you get this copy? It is the clearest and the audio is tops. Thanks so much. Cindy is such a doll, and Diana, I just can't take my eyes off her.

  • Don't forget Mary... that voice! those moves!

  • You 'KNOW' U *Right*!!!!!!

  • random, but probably the best rendition of this song :)

  • what differences???

  • PERFECTION!!!!! If these three women today in 2008 would settle their differences, I would pay ANYTHING to see them one last time! If they only knew.

  • I some times would like to see them one last time again, but you know it isnt going to be the same, they wouldnt sound or look as smooth as I remember them in the 60s, I saw them live in 1967 and 1968.

  • I am PRAYING!

  • Mary is so pretty

  • .. the back up mic were up this time! Good job ladies!

  • Well, only Diana's vocal is sung live; the reason for Mary and Cindy's to be lipsynched is that it made for a "cleaner" and smoother sound, for the studio audience, and t.v. And yes, i LOVE this clip because they really have a "group-sound" will all 3 voices about the same volume.

You see, my brothers and I are a singing trio ourselves, and to have only the lead parts be sung live, while the backgrounds are prerecorded (whenever we have a t.v. appearance)is a practice still being used today.

  • I watched on TV a portrait with Patti Labelle and she said that Cindy Birdsong left the Bluebells group in the middle of a tour with no explanations to her and their manager. She attended a Berry Gordy called and so left Massachussets and went to Detroit to replace Flo on The Supremes. Patti Labelle never more talked to Cindy since this episode.

  • It is my understanding that Cindy is in touch with Patti and Sarah. Things have healed since the real story came out of how Cindy was courted. Now, I am not sure that she and Nona keep in touch. A few years back all four Bluebelles sang together as they were inducted in the R&B Hall of Fame. (I think that was the organization.)I would love to see that footage, or any Bluebelle footage...I know, I went on to many subjects...LOL

  • I would love to see that too! LOVE Cindy Birdsong. I also love the fact that she doesn't get involved in those ugly Diana/Mary feuds.

  • Reflections has always been my favorite song and this performance from the Hollywood Palace is the greatest. Watch every individual lady... It's like a 3-ring circus!

  • i love mary wilson and she look good with her hair like that

  • Oh yeah!

  • the dresses made their bodies were perfect shapes

  • what the name of the dvd this clip is on

  • Mary was lookin' her best with this look. Chic and so unique.

I can do without "Lady is a Tramp" lol

  • I tried doing the dance that Mary and Cindy do on Reflections and it is a workout.I can do it well now but I have a all new appreciation for them.Great performance from all three girls.

  • Hello!! That is a workout!!!! I needed some oxygen when I was finished!!! LOL

  • and water lol lots of water

  • Right!!!! LOL

  • Totally agree karamelleE and Konumers! AWESOMELY fab!

  • ONE Word...Fabulous!!!!

  • I know who is up there (mary, cindy & diane/diana) Im just shouting out some of my favorite supremes...actually I like em all right down to scherie and susaye!

wish there were more 70s supremes on you tube. I listen to the Jean Terrell Years boxed set everyday and wish I could see more of the televised material that accompanies that period.

  • There used to be some great videos of the 70's lineup posted but the member was removed from youtube, and his videos went away with him....

  • Absolutely incredible - they all look gorgeous and what enterainers! So well rehearsed... Say what you want about Diana - but she totally takes it here! The difference from '64 to '67 is amazing. Love those Supremes - Flo, Cindy, and Jean included!

  • Flo (RIP) and Jean are not on this clip...this is the year Flo was removed from the group, and Cindy (on the left most of the performance) was her replacement. Mary (an "original") was on the right...Jean was a 70's Supreme, nowhere in sight. Thanks for watching/glad you enjoyed.

  • get it mary. Cindy has a nice soft high voice. they all sounded great live man! Mary has a deep alto..its smooth..well then

  • Diana's look and glamour were light years ahead of her contemporaries at motown or in R&B at that time..

    She drips with star quality!!!

  • Why though.

Why beacause Berry Gordy on purpose invested much more in The Supremes and in paricular Diana as when she went after her solo career he HARDLY was seen or toured with The Supremes he really only was seen with Diana and invested nothing compared to what he did Diana when she went solo as he didn't want anyone rivalling his mistress!

  • The Andantes only recorded 15 songs with Diana, the Water sisters did 1 song with Diana and Mary and Cindy did 150 songs with Diana, some still in the vaults some on various albums, I have the full studio logs which details each song, who is one which song and the recordings dates, it is a myth that the Andantes did most of the recordings as they didn't they only did a meer 15, I have the full list and know exactly which songs Cindy and Mary did!

  • Berry had nothing to do with the look of the group - by 1967, it was ALL Diana. Berry tried hard to put The Ross-less Supremes over. There was money to be made off of JMC and he tried. He gave them Frank Wilson to produce them, Gil to arrange them and had them touring and on TV a lot to plug their records. As he predicted, the public-at-large didn't buy Jean - talented though she was. Berry could easily have disbanded The Supremes in 1970, but chose to keep them alive until they were toast.

  • Remember how Berry said he wouldn't support the "new" Supremes as fully if Mary didn't let him take Jean out and replace her with Syreeta Wright, even after Jean was introduced as Diana's replacement?

  • Do you know that Florence Ballard was actually still a Supreme when the studio version of this was recorded she sings the soprano parts on this.

But Florence was fired before she got to do it live so Cindy is here as Florence was prettier had a much stronger voice and was normally louder than Mary even if the overhead mic was moved more to Mary

  • I loved Florence too and her powerful tenor was stronger than Cindy's high alto, but Cindy was absolutely stunnning. When I first saw them live I could not believe how gorgeous Cindy was. She looked like the Italian actress Claudia Cardinale who was popular in the 60s.

  • Cleo, Cindy is not an ALTO, she is a Soprano and has this strong operatic voice, but the mics were always turned down which means we never got chance to hear Cindy really shine, however when Cindy does get near a turned up mic, you can surly hear her, it is heavenly and Cindy's voice is just as powerful as Flo's, I have heard it, believe me Cindy can reach very high notes, listen to her at the beginning of "The Loving Country" she is truly awesome and beautiful too!

  • Bobbysoxer69 you are my new best friend. Someone here who actually knows what they are talking about. I am afraid that a lot of the posters know their Supremes "facts" from Dreamgirl and urban legend. You can also hear Cindy's classy soprano on the Bluebelles stuff with Patti. She is most clearly heard on Patti's Prayer"."

  • jimjeffjeanine, you're welcome, it is a shame that fans only believe stuff from other fans instead of doing their own research too, I have done a lot of research and found that Cindy did most of those songs from the DRATS era, but people will believe what they want to believe so if they want to believe that Cindy is not on any songs, then why bother trying to change their minds?

  • Doing their own research Bobbysoxer? I recall you joining my group and spending week after week questioning us about any everything involving the Supremes!

  • The Loving Country is a beautiful son, and Cindy's opening is lovely. However, Mary said in her bood that Flo was a first soprano and Cindy a second. I like Mary and Cindy's blend better. Mary's and Flo's blend sometimes sounded screechy, whereas Mary and Cindy produced a lusch, rich sound.

  • You are right, SKATEITALIAN. Check out the Fats Waller video here on youtube. This is the lush, rich sound you speak of. True, Florence had a break-through-glass gospel pitch (Back In My Arms Again is top notch) but Cindy's rich second soprano gives rise to a very full, rich sound. Plus, she was (and still is) drop dead gorgeous and has the sexiest hips ever!

  • Cindy does WORK IT here and proves she was worthy of Flo's shoes and dresses - quite literally BUT I hate when she sings those songs like My World Is Empty Without You as although Flo could sing pretty throughout her range (Stay In Love, Goin' Out Of My Head, People) on My World she and Mary make themselves sound sooo gloomy and its so effective. Cindy does rock it though! GO CINDY

  • Didn't The Andante's record this song with Diana? lol

  • NOOO!

Mary and Florence recorded it just before Florence was fired!

The Andante's didn't start doing backing for Diana until Florence was fired and Cindy came in, because tension was so high even with Cindy and apparently at their last live tv show with Diana before Jean came on the ed su.... show after there was no hugging no farewells

  • I dont believe that there were no hugging farewells because there is a clip of the final performance on the Ed Sullivan they looked very chummey singing Someday We'll Be Together, Diana And Mary were holding hands toward the end and they put a lot of soul in that performance

  • I agree! I have to believe that there was emotion all around. BTW, I am in love with that performance of "Someday" - I can't get enough of it. That was a fitting end to the Supremes era.

  • This is my favorite song of all time

  • Gatsbyesque, no the Andantes did not do this song with Diana, it was Flo and Mary.

If anyone wants to know anything else then let me know and I will try and help!

  • Johnathan your info is so often wrong it is annoying. Florence recorded this song long before 1967. She did record it, live and on the Supremes Rodgers and Hart album. She also performed this song many times inSupremes concerts. Listen tot the Supremes at the Copa. Florence is singing this very song.

  • Now I get the song "the lady is a tramp". It's all about gossip and putting people down because they don't do and say everything you want them to.

  • Thanks. Now that you said that, I am just getting it!

  • wow! I love those dresses, hair, makeup, etc.

these girls were great too. and the writers and arrangers and conductor... etc. How did they get al the right little touches?

  • Wow! Today's pop song writers and pop singers sure lack talent!

  • Even we, who watched the act's meteoric rise, were surprised at their versatility. They were the total package and handled each challenge with professional ease above and beyond their contemporaries.

  • The Super Group. Love hearing Cindy and Mary on live performances; you know it's them!! Great clear clip. Thanks for sharing.

  • Live?? they dont have a mic? I thought Diana always sung live and her backups lipsynched

  • Actually they pre-recorded the background sometimes for the stage performance but i dont think this is one of those moments

  • I do as that isn't Flo's tone in the back, this was either pre-recorded or Cindy and Mary singing live as on the studio recording with Florence, Mary is virtually unheard and we all know that after Flo was gone, Mary had to act as the one with the powerful voice and their 'post flo' live shows prove this as Mary is the louder one when Cindy is there
