Kid, why the fuck would you make an ipod video anyway? This tutorial sucks and it is easier to just cover an ipod and headphones with a blue color and then just get the actor to wear a full body green screen and then use the background as red or orange and chroma key it all. This video sucks, no one listen to this kid.

Yes there is a way to go about it with frame by frame editing, but really who wants to do that - for fun? Face paint isn't that bad! It's a lot more fun than using the pen tool all day. Too many rude people.

I'm sorry that is just a horrible way to do it, the actual commercials they add two chroma keys, they invert one of them to make the dancer completely black, they then go frame by frame and color in the ipod.

Please make a compilation of the people in black makeup, dancing in front of the green screen. This will give us a good idea of what all of this looks like when you are filming it, before the after effects/final cut pro filters.

The easier way doesn't have wires, the harder way take ages and more software with frame-by-frame animation of the wires.

you can just wear a black hoody with black gloves black pants and black shoes then you only need a little bit of black face paint. NOTE cover you hair with the hoody if you are blonde

How on earth can you afford Final Cut Studio lol? In the UK it's £800 which is about $1600. Furthermore you have to buy a Mac to run it on which isn't cheap either. That's one expensive hobby you've got there kid lol. A standard PC with CS3 does the trick for me and I do this professionally. :D.

It's not wise to use Limewire for anything nowadays. U have like a 1 in 10 chance of getting a virus or being caught by your ISP. You'd use torrents from various sites I cannot mention. If you google "swedish torrent site" you'll get what you need. Then just use any free P2P client such as "Vuze" and download what you need. :

This process doesnt require any dark clothing to keep the wires, You just need '2' chroma layers one to isolate the whiteness of the ipod and wires (and add contrast) and one to 'mask' out the person not 'chroma' out the person, ive just tested this out in vegas with an image and it works, if I cant find another tutorial on YT explaining this correctly I'll make one myself

haha there is a way better way of doing this dude. you can have anyone (who isnt wearing green) in front of a green screen. just chromakey out the green, add a colorful solid background, then add a matte over the person and it will automatically take the outline of the person. then simply fill it in with black.

And where do the wires come in? This is the easiest way to get the correct effect. The even easier way to do it without the wires is to just dance in front of a green screen, chroma key it out, and change a sepia tone to black. This only give a silhouette, though. Wires are the entire effect!

no...you can put blue fabric around the bires and ipod, then key them out! the blue because it is the same thing as a green screen (it is the furthest away color from flesh). but good tutorial anyways!

Wrong again :) the fabric would need to be glued on, possibly ruining the headphones, and inhibiting the movement of the wires. Even then, it would be difficult to key them out because they are so thin. you need thick wires, like a syncable cable.

yah, mavericks is right, although i havent made my own commercial yet, ive seen a lot of people make video and tutorials, neither of them had to use face paint, there are alot of easier was to make this video, and all you really need is a greenscreen, a video camera, and a program that can key and set colors to your greenscreen.
