Southwest doesn't fly internationally, and they have no bag agreements with other airlines, so that means if you fly southwest first and your final destination is outside of where they fly, then your bags will have to be reclaimed and rechecked with the next airline. @noelio67 Just a tip, don't drink tap water on the airplane. Only bottled water. The tap water is stored in a tank and that tank is regulated by the health department I think. The airline must keep fresh water in the tank and/or clorinate it every three days. It's a stainless steel afair in the bowels of the plane....who knows what the inside of that thing looks like. Airline employees never drink airplane tap water. Make sure it is bottled water if you want water. Coffee is boiled. Coffee is OK

I was on Air Canada, service was better than I thought, snacks and Beverages exept for things like beer and wine were free. Pillows at $3 or $5 dollars and earphones at $3, any currency you have!
i love SWA. all the other US carriers should be grounded permanently. America should open its skies to foreign airlines immediately, to restore proper service. i would love to fly Virgin Air (for instance) on domestic routes. or, OMG, Sing Airlines ! can u imagine ? no more of these 60 year old, brittle, women who hate their lives serving as attendants.
I just flew American Airlines-- they served free beverages , but no snacks. Airlines let you bring your own snacks onboard, though, and beverages purchased at the airport. Oh, they let me bring two pieces of luggage, too... for a mere extra $40 ! (Havent flown in a couple years, so that was unpleasant surprise.) Now I see why everyone brings such huge carryons onboard these days.
My absolute favourite airline is Delta Air Lines...been flying with them my entire life. Although when Delta's price are way too high I fly Southwest, my second favourite U.S. airline :)

I've always flown on Contentinal Airlines, and all I got there was a small little drink of soda and an effin bag of peanuts. Before I flew with SW, I was upset a bit because I thought Contentinal was the only "classy" airlines. I was mad that my mom was gonna make me fly on it. That sounds like a Spirit Airlines Flight Attn. When is SWA gonna fly into Atlantic City N.J. (ACY)? It's a great airport, has a great ILS, the FBO is very good and have nothing to do most of the day. Spirit Airlines is running the show there....And what a shabby operation they are. SWA could CLEAN UP there. ACY is building a brand new $92million terminal and just completed a 6 story parking garrage that NOBODY uses! Jet Blue diverts there all the time when it just sprinkles in JFK or LGA.
Trashy? Come on. So what there's casinos and hookers everywhere...JetBlu or SWA would clean up there. The landing fees aren't half as bad as LGA, JFK or EWR. And there's no noise abatement prods like DCA and LGA after hours.
Well, in all honesty, the 'town' has cleaned up a bit and it's really not as trashy as it was a short while ago. It's getting better. It's a bitch to park in Atlantic City in the summer but ppl normally only 'visit' on a day to day basis. Brigantine is MUCH nicer a place to stay.

I just flew American Airlines-- they served free beverages , but no snacks. Airlines let you bring your own snacks onboard, though, and beverages purchased at the airport. Oh, they let me bring two pieces of luggage, too... for a mere extra $40 ! (Havent flown in a couple years, so that was unpleasant surprise.) Now I see why everyone brings such huge carryons onboard these days.

My absolute favourite airline is Delta Air Lines...been flying with them my entire life. Although when Delta's price are way too high I fly Southwest, my second favourite U.S. airline :)

southwest is the greatest airline, there is no question, they have the best customer service and the flight attendants actually treat you like human beings unlike every other airline, plus you get free drinks and snacks

southflorida704, all airlines give you free drinks and snacks. It's the food items like sandwiches that you have to pay for. And being 'treated like a human being'? That depends on who the flight attendent is. (since they're human too, and I bet that you don't treat everyone 'like a human being' all the time) I've met many nice flight attendents on other airlines.
United is my favorite. The people on it have always treated me with the upmost respect.

Us airways now charge $ 2 for a soft drink. Southwest, Virgin American, Alaska, and American are the only airlines that i know don't charge for soft drinks.

I thought it was ridiculous that any airline would even think of charging a passenger to use the restroom - until the Irish airline Ryanair proposed a £1 (about $1.43 USD as of Feb. 27, 2009) fee this week to use their planes' bathrooms!!

I had no problem in the summer of 2005 when I took a nonstop trip from PHL (Philadelphia, PA) to OAK (Oakland, CA) and back!
The flight out was the very first time I had ever flown.
I wish Southwest still flew that route! There's a '72 Vista Cruiser in Alameda, CA that I'd love to go pick up...

I've always flown on Contentinal Airlines, and all I got there was a small little drink of soda and an effin bag of peanuts. Before I flew with SW, I was upset a bit because I thought Contentinal was the only "classy" airlines. I was mad that my mom was gonna make me fly on it. But they gave me loads of free hot chocolate with these awesome heart straws in it :) I probably sound immature right now, but hey, I'm only 14. I've done a lot of traveling <3

I understand southwest is a low cost carrier but this commercial is completely stupid for them. They don't have magazines, they don't even has TVs, and the only food they offer is peanuts. I'm allergic to peanuts! US carriers should really go back to the way they were, in 02 i flew from JFK to LAX with delta and got huge hot meal. Flew again this year, and only got one drink and of course, PEANUTS :(

That sounds like a Spirit Airlines Flight Attn. When is SWA gonna fly into Atlantic City N.J. (ACY)? It's a great airport, has a great ILS, the FBO is very good and have nothing to do most of the day. Spirit Airlines is running the show there....And what a shabby operation they are. SWA could CLEAN UP there. ACY is building a brand new $92million terminal and just completed a 6 story parking garrage that NOBODY uses! Jet Blue diverts there all the time when it just sprinkles in JFK or LGA.

Well, in all honesty, the 'town' has cleaned up a bit and it's really not as trashy as it was a short while ago. It's getting better. It's a bitch to park in Atlantic City in the summer but ppl normally only 'visit' on a day to day basis. Brigantine is MUCH nicer a place to stay.
