I've watched this video many times, and it's great! I have one question, though. My dog is extremely reactive when it comes to squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, basically anything that scurries across the ground. I am doing a lot of attention work with her, but compared to the other distractions I've trained with, it's just too much. Do you have any suggestions on how to work up to the critter distraction?
@dsostringbean Check out "Control Unleashed" by Leslie McDevitt. She tells you how to put the bird or squirrel chaing on cue (of course only done where the dog has no chance of catching one) and so you can use it as a reward, instead of a distraction. Donna
really wonderful video showing a great mastery of well established criteria love all your videos, truly helpfull and most of all a great lesson in how to truly train dogs
Thanks for another great video. I find this to be the hardest for me personally in my training. I tend to not raise the criteria fast enough and the dog gets stuck at a particular stage. I'm working on it though! (it'd be a lot easier if I lived with a dog that I could work with on a consistent basis)

Only lonely people do this. You are over training your dog. You need to find some friends. Whats the point of all this training...
