  • Awkward audience... =)

  • @SilentPenumbra LOL! I was just a very awkward performer back then - I hadn't been doing aerial silks but maybe a month and a half before this...it was scary and fun!

  • Wow good job!! That looks sooooo intense for the upper body, pole is gonna be a breeze for you now. Well done.

  • It's an upper body work out for sure! I think silks really enhances pole work a lot by building even more on the upper body and the core. V- you would be awesome at this! You should get yourself circus school AND you have the height on your ceiling to maybe install silks!!!!!

  • Now that my arm is starting to feel better I should sign up to the circus school her in SF. I would love to try aerial hoop too.

  • you were amazing! that looks soooooo scary compared to the pole!

  • It is scarier than pole but as Elona can tell you once you get what you are doing then it's just a great work out and a ton of fun. I hope to see you up those classes someday soon!

  • That was beautiful, Charley! I am fascinated by how using wraps and different holds you can change the pivot points and friction on the fabric. It seems similar to pole in a way...but different in that you must create your own rigidity using gravity and friction. You need to develop a great deal of body awareness to do this! Wonderful performance!

  • Thank you Joel! It's really the opposite of pole if you think about it. We wrap our bodies around a hard object, here you're wrapping a soft object around your body. It's tricky. I wish I knew more about the science of it. Awareness is a key point that you hit upon, you really have to be in the present. I'm hoping this cross training takes my pole to a whole new level. :D

  • Omg that was amazing! What an art!

  • It was such an inspiring night, everyone has such a unique take on their aerial art. I was so blown away watching all of the performances.

  • that was beautiful!!

  • :D thank you!

  • thank you! As Katie Coates would say "pole power!" Pole helped a lot.

  • Looked amazing! It really doesn't looked rushed at all, although I can imagine it probably felt like an eternity up there. But really you seemed to keep a good pace with the music and all your tricks were nice and smoothly done. Good job girl!! I hope I can be at the next one!

  • OMG! I thought I held my locust for a long time then I noticed I didn't I just went right for the knee hang. lol! Felt like it was a lot longer than it was. It was fun and a great experience. I am soooo hoping you and Q can be in the next one!

  • What a cool video! You looked awesome! Great job :)

  • :D Thank you so much!

  • It was very fun to watch! I loved it! You were great!

  • Thanks Mon! It was scary - I am not going to lie. lol! I was actually using this song for pole so ofcourse I had pole moves in my head instead of fabric moves - so note to pole dancers - do aerials to different music, lol!!!

  • wow that didn't look simple to me! some of those moves look so hard- i loved your performance!! xx

  • Great job Crystal!!! You did awesome =)

  • :D thank you. See what I mean I really rushed the locust instead of holding it and my angel layout thing - I was turned the wrong way haha. It was fun and I would totally do it again - next time with you!!!!!

  • That was awesome girl!

  • thank you :D I kept it simple and short. It was a lot of fun and everyone was really amazing.
