  • africans are awsome!!!! americans ones need to go bak to africa and learn!!!

  • @Dustycajungurl

    Thank you, if you don't like it, go home!

  • Im so sick of black americans calling them self african, So should i start calling my self cubin/irish american ? no i was boarn in america so im american, it seem people cry about race but in the end want to remain seprate and diffrent. Enough with the titles and the skin colors, we are all americans or humans in the end !

  • African=Slave

    American=Slave Master

    African=Neters/Gods

    American=Devils

    African=Victims

    American=Perpetrators

    How Can you Be Both?

  • I don't understand why we have to go to such great lengths over race. Why can't we be Americans? The first man to die for the American Revolution, was a black man. Me personally, I have (mainly Irish) roots. I don't call myself Irish-American, despite my skin tone looking like mayonnaise. Thank you for the info...I enjoy learning new things, especially about sweet places like Africa.

  • Many do sound stupid here because black Americans ancestors was force to forget their language, culture & families which they never be happy with it, so today as you all are free don't you black Americans think it will be great honor to your ancestors if you people regain your origin and culture as they fought for it & did not gain it then? Or you people want to compare with Europeans who their ancestors voluntarily went to America to recreate their identities even the leaders of slave trade.

  • I'm real African and so much love Africa also never care if blacks in America call their self’s African American or not because if not as bible said that old things have pass away i could not accept or call any black human in America my brothers or my sisters because my ancestors will be angry with me which my ancestors have strong reason to be angry with me, if any of black human in America want to know why let he or she as his father how slave trade started b4 demand became hight...

  • we might as well call white americans "eurpean americans" and asians in americans "asian americans" black americans who were decendants of the slaves should not be called "african american" due to the fact they dont have any recent connection with africa, otherwise we shall call all others by their originating continent except for the natives.

  • @WupeViasco

    Okay, I hear you, then what do suppose I call myself? Because I am not the color black, and I feel that it is demeaning to be titled just a color when I am (1) so much more and (2) not even the color black, not even close.

  • I am so sad to see black people deny motherland.

    even if you was born in america your mom and dad too

    you have african blood, don't forget it.

  • @TheJayvy

    I didn't forget, but don't deny that we have a different culture. We are not denying, or acting shameful, we just don't want to be forgotten or mixed up with others so that no one knows our culture and history.

  • Yeah well you don't hear White British people saying were are German British!!!! They say they are British!

  • u sound asian!!

  • i want to go to africa but then again im still in school =D

  • i am african born in america and yes i love to learn the languages of africa and the middleeast i am proud of africans and middleeasterners

  • african people are beautiful the speak many languages and many cultures from joaquim pedro beinhos guine bissau cabo verde angola monzambique e princiope e sao tome

  • Hello, I am African American and everything you stated here--Most African Americans already know. Almost all African Americans are proud of their African heritage-

  • Amen!

  • Greetings.

    I am African American. (RED BLACK AND GREEN!!)

    Everything you have said in this video, i already knew. I wanted to see what other people thought about african americans... this saddens me. How many people have you actually talked to? I think its pure ignorance to think that people think, african-american people do not know their history. My mother and father...and previous generations always made sure we knew who we are and where our ancestors are from. PRIDE.

  • Amen!

  • Nice work!

  • So, why are not most Americans called Euro-americans?

  • Most Black Americans should conisder themselves African-Americans. Its common sense, we are here from our ancestors from africa from the diaspora, we are still black and eventually being called negro (meaning black in spanish and etc) and maybe other negative names but, it tells you in dictionaries that Africans are people who are natively born there and people who are decendants and black americans are, we have ever right, we might not know as much about mama africa

  • african is not black american nationality.

  • "AFrican is not black american nationality?" Thats the most DUMBest, Stupidest, most ignorant thing Ive every heard! Asian Americans arent have no link to ASia, or White (Europeans) AMericans have no tides to Europe....America belongs to the Native Indians, where do blacks come from...use a dictionary dumb ass!

  • you must be one of those fucked stupid pan africans.... go figure.... you read a book stuid garveyite bitch... DC rasta my ass, now you a dumb ass AFrican.

  • Well its common sense to know who the fuck u are..."ricco" suave? So now that we've covered where people come from, you can crawl back into someone's ass and drop urself into the shit hole u crawl from ("Yo Momma"), man, wheres the show when u need it?lol...well im not goin to be childish and argue with an ignorant asshole over the internet ...Learn something!

  • Very true. I think African Americans are the only one who can break those stereotypes by telling things as they are. Africans are stereotyped as well.One more thing I realized recently is that BLACK PEOPLE are also stereotyped, as a race.

  • also some african people need to stop trying to segregate.

  • i know a lot about african americans am just outraged at how they sometimes treat africans

    say like one time when i came from africa there was this kid named dalvin he is african american. i asked him where are you from he was like here.i was like where in africa? he was like am not african lol atleast why dont they learn,these days most a.a think themselves gangster,and gangsters dont go to school so they end un being dumb

  • we not african. we are black american. when you start asking white america. what part of europe their from. white american can't tell you either, they don't know. we landed in america with the white man.calling us african american is just another way for white america. to sepate us from america. when white america start calling themself european american then i be more then happy to call myself african american. 70 percent of africans in africa can't read or write. that don't make them dumb

  • lol, why do you need to wait on white america?

  • yes don't you love how these europeans have given everyone even the indigenous americans a prefix yet call themselves simply americans as if they are the originals. tricky tricky

  • > actually white/european amerians can tell you where they're form. most are from ireland.

    > how do you know that 70% of africans in africa can't read or write, were you there?

  • why do you need white america's green light. most whites do know their orgins, with german, scottish, and irish being a large portion. go to the east coast or parts of the midwest you see little italy, greek towns, russian hoods, where people identify w/ thier european roots. many blacks are still conditioned to have a disownment for africa. learn your history

  • "When white america start calling themselves european american..." you're an idiot. We have a different cultural history than whites in America. Their ancestors voluntarily came over here to recreate their identities. Our ancestors were stripped from their lands and were forced to forget their language, families, histories, societies, religion etc.. That alone should make us want to learn something about Africa. It is our birthright. We owe our ancestors to remember our Africanness.

  • @oromo1991

    It goes both ways. I have had many encounters where I was called a nigger, nigga, stupid,and unworthy because I am so called "black". Yet I am not going to sit here and say that all africans are like that, because there is ignorance and hatred among every race. Thank God I understand that unlike others.

  • All Black American are not uneducated about Africa there are alot of them that do know about who they are and have studied about where they come from. I for one don't just sit around watching tv thinking every thing I see is real.

  • thank you so much for posting this. I would like to learn about Africa according to an African.

  • Pleasure is mine :)

  • did you know africa is the richest nation in the world?

  • Africa is not a nation... it's a continent. Furthermore, not only is it the poorest continent, the top ten poorest countries in the world are also in Africa. World Top 10 - Poorest Countries Country GDP Per Capita ($) Sierra Leone 490 Tanzania 523 Burundi 591 Malawi 615 Ethiopia 668 Niger 746 Guinea-Bissau 755 Dem. Rep. Of Congo 765 Mali 797 Congo 825
  • Look, black Afrika is not materially, ecologically, culturally, spiritually or humanly poor. There is just pervasive man made lack of infrastructure and basic necessities due to blatant the corruption and exploitation by multinational coorporations and local elites. The apparent "poverty" in Africa is artificial in essence.

  • you seem to be a very educated young lady. i sometimes understand what you are trying to say in your videos. you always seem to come off as angry though.

  • LOL, do I sound angry? I used to be a high school teacher and had the most difficult teenagers.Maybe thats what affected the way I talk.LOL.

  • ok. that explains things ;)

  • You don't sound angry...

  • i actually know a great deal about africa because i READ about different people and different things. i also have some african friends (nigerian, from sudan, senegal and egytian. )

  • i dont appreciate you saying that i dont know anything about africa. i am from the caribbean, am black and am an american. that makes me an "african- american" i guess. i do know about africa. you are a very negative person to group all people together by saying that people dont know anything about africa just because they are not from there.

  • It's quite unfortunate that my video is sort of an over generalization.I know there are AAs who know about Africa even mo' than I do.Pardon me if the video sounds offensive.That wasn't my intention.
