  • lets all pitch in to buy nutn a go pro!

..unless Im late and he already has one..

  • nutn i think you should get a go pro camera. it will make filming alot easier.

  • Great inspiration, thank you.

  • I just about died when BuggetNuster found the rock in his pack, haha

  • hope you had sunscreen on for this hike..

  • so are you say if a bear were to come up at any part in the hike youd pull out a large survival knife rather then your kel tec? personally id rather unload a fukll clip before it got in striking distance if it was agressive, the noice alone would probably scare it off anyways. Great vid though, as always

  • @MrAWAKENED1 I think they were talking as though they were surprised and the creature (Bear or Mountain Lion) was already on them.

  • dudes, is BuggetNuster eating Ritter Sport chocolate at 33:40?

  • @horseman863 Probably..that is good stuff. -- Veri

  • signaling mirrors are amazing. I got mine for 3.00 at bladehq, but tried it out at Snowbird ski resort and my wife could see me at the top of GAD valley from our condo at Iron Blossom!!!

  • @nutnfancy dude! I found 2 sp-17's on amazon for $45 a pop! Got one for me one for the wifey!!

  • you should have bugget in more of your videos

  • Nutnfancy, do you hike in your water (how much) or do you go and find it?

  • 6:36 smiley face in the snow :)

  • 4:15. Absolutely beautiful

  • gorilla tape on your scrotum???

  • You should get a zippo handwarmer dude! ^^

  • i think so that in my all life i never bin away from the sound of cars. even when i bin miles miles in the forest...

  • I wish I was outdoors enjoying the sunshine and awesome scenery...

    Thanks for taking is along.

  • Nutn, hope I'm not the only one asking for this, but are you ready for the Outcast tabletop? I'd love to see you pound on it in freezing temps. It's D2, but hardened to the lower 50s RC which will limit the chips to the steel. I've had great experiences with mine in Ontario Canada with no noticeable damage to the edge.

  • that's just wonderful.....

  • Nutnfancy, you mentioned that you can build traps and i know you've done a deer trap. but can u show more vids about making different traps?

    thanks a lot

  • what does the duct tape on the credit card do?

  • @JumpShotHero you wrap it around a credit card to reduce the pack volume. A roll takes much more space than some feet of tape wrapped around a credit card.

  • I simply can not wait for winter now. Thank you for taking the time to make these wonderful videos.

  • Anyone have any clue what kind of candy bar they broke open towards the end? Errrr...... either i'm eccentric or suspicious, but it's bothering me. LOL

    Veri?

  • @hcmalibu72 ritter sport

  • @SumDuDe34 Excellent, thank you! I really appreciate your reply!!

  • nutn... i love the music comp. in this... awesome!!

  • Man werever you live its freaking buityful! Were is that!? :)

  • @Kylef7735 You can have guns and knives in utah!?!?!!? PLEASE REPLY!!! :D

  • @CYBERB0X Where are you from dude, you must be from outside the U.S.A. or you're a troll.

  • @Kylef7735 No in cali were i live it is ilegal to carry nives over 2in or to carry a gun of any kind and considering that the US is atempting to make almost every knife be classified as a switchblade so im pretty surprised that you can have guns and knives in utah so no im not from outside the us and im not a troll.

  • @CYBERB0X You live in the communist state of california, practically every other state you can carry knives and guns, guns with a Concealed Weapons Permit, and knives dont require a licence. The only ones similar to california are illinois and new york.

  • @Kylef7735 I agry cali knife and gun laws suck... but are you telling me I could go to Utah and carry a gun at my side with a licence and a knife and nobody would care??? And what of the hunting laws like are there any special rules? Please answer.

  • @CYBERB0X You cant carry the gun on your side, you can only have it concealed, no open carry laws yet. The knife you can carry on your belt and no one would say anything. I dont know the hunting laws in utah though. But Im assuming they are just about like everywhere else, except california. AND THERE IS NO LEAD BULLET BAN, LOL. You would have to look up utahs fish and game department to find out those laws.

And you can stop saying "Please answer" i will, LOL.

  • @Kylef7735 Wow so how can I have a conceald gun? wont then be a wierd ass bulge?

  • @CYBERB0X Look up nutnfancys reviews of concealed carry firearms. And no, with todays guns and holsters, you cant tell if someone has a gun or not. And to legally carry a concealed gun YOU NEED TO GET A LICENCE, OTHERWISE YOURE GONNA GO TO JAIL, (all caps for enphasis) its possible in california, but very difficult compared to other states.

  • or your scrotum..HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

i could not stop laughing when he said that

  • @themusicmaster27 You and me both.

  • Good vid, you need to be in the bush so much the memories just become knowledge. 5* remember lead scrap kills nature...slowly. NIce weather for 10k up.

  • bueatiful place

  • I love these video by nutnfancy. He should have a tv show about his philosophy and hiking. I personally would nominate him for a tv show. I know you probably wont see this but great job anyways keep up the great work and videos

  • Hey man, love you vids. I have a question, how long did it take you to get your dog used to staying with you, carrying that bag, etc. Just wondering, I train dogs but I've never done off lead.

  • This is my favorite nutfancy video.

  • does buggetnuster know any german words which he learnt from his forefathers or are have they been soon too long in america . and nutn or better veri where are your forefather come from i guess netherlands

  • @cityx2007 I think we are mutts...a mix from several different countries. -- Veri

  • i love this music you put in these videos, it reminds me alot of soundtrack from the Titanic.

  • Was Bugget rockin' an Omega Speedmaster on his wrist in this video??

  • Lol... in a nutn shell.

  • 50000 views nutn. You really earned this! all respects!

  • just wondering why you wear knee pads?

  • @davespiegal He's got extensive damage in both knees. He just posted an Alta knee pad review, where he talks about it a bit..even has some pics from after one of his surgeries (ew). - Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • @nutnfancy having said that, and I have nothing but respect on his philosophy on carrying capability, but wouldn't he have an easier go by packing lighter than 80lbs on his big hikes? He has the knowledge and a appears to have a great selection of gear. Perhaps he should carry a bit less for the sake of his knees? Keep it up Nutn'. Looks like you are in great shape to be testing gear at 10,000 ft.

  • Love the prank rock in the pack. If it were me and my buddies, we'd probably put something nasty in there like a fake rattlesnake.

  • at 15:27 i saw that rock formation to the right of buggetnusters head, looked like someone sleeping. prolly wouldve been me waiting for them, i was born for the woods. XD

  • Dude how bout that boar hunt? That would be freakin sweet!

  • hey, nice video! im 14 and i go out in southern GA and hunt boars with my kabar! fun stuff you need to try it!

  • knee pads some one tell me what brand those are please

  • Hey Nut, I was wondering if you had any glove recommendations for batoning? Thanks!

  • I watch your clips more than i watch TV now. Your vids are all awsome and i really can't wait untill it gets warmer here in sweden ( summer in like 2 months ). Then i'll go hiking with my dog :) It's thanks to you that I'll do it

  • Nutn,

I know this vid, is an oldie, but with the recent addition to my family, a little boy, born about 6 months ago. You now have a new fan. I love to turn on one of your vids, and let him watch. He actually seems to like it more than spongebob, or any of that other garbage on the tube. When his mommas not here, I even let him watch your run and guns, but dont tell her.

Any way I just wanted to say thanks for making awesome vids, and helping to provide entertainment and knowledge to my family

  • @woohog1 Congrats on baby boy Woo!! =) -- Veri

  • How long do you go camping for a few days or just an afternoon.

  • I have an addiction. It's called "Nutnfancyalism". I stumbled across your youtube videos about 6 months ago. Since then, I have made a fair amount of gear purchases (knives and camping/backpacking stuff) based on your reviews. Pretty much if it gets your "two thumbs up", I know it's legit. Keep up the good work brutha.

  • @shamrox311 We have an addiction too...to viewers like you! -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • @shamrox311 "... and the only prescription.... is more nutnfancy".

  • lol I love these videos, the joke that nutn played on Bugget was hilarious, great video nutn loved every minute of it

  • I love this set of videos. I think ive watched it 3 times now 10/5!!!!

  • I always seem to pick up a tip or two from your longer videos. I've done fire in the winter but never thought of using using tinfoil as a base, I can do it without but this makes it easier and more surefire ;)

  • Nice video !!!!!! where are you ?

  • 6:12 what's an SPR?

  • Semi Automatic precision rifle AKA SAPER OR SPR

  • Thanks bro

  • leave no trace

  • Another great video. Both part 1 and 2. The best part is that you don't present the information like you are better than any one else. You just get out there and have fun. You can even laugh at yourself along the way. Keep up the quality vids, man!

  • That place is amazing, i wish i lived there. nice video

  • THE NUTNFANCY PROJECT

  • Great video as usual Nutn. Love the good work, whenever i need to see a review on something sweet you have it. You'll get nothing but positive recomendations from me. keep it up!

  • From an army vetran to an army vetran..

It's good to know someone with really good survival experience (that one can only obtain by service) is making these reviews and videos.

All people that haven't, should listen very carefully and learn as much as they can, since the only environment that can apply you with the right MENTEL state-of-mind these days is the army.

Keep up with the good work man! consider me subscribed!

  • dude! your awesome man! Ive never seen somebody with the amount of knowldge that this guy has. NUTNFANCY ROCKS!!!

  • "dude! your awesome man! Ive never seen somebody with the amount of knowldge that this guy has. NUTNFANCY ROCKS!!! You ROCK for supporting me so well. It's this enthusiasm that makes all the work worthwhile. I am fortunate to have the background and upbringing I had I guess and I am a born gearhead too. Thanks again.

  • Love part one, love par2, im shure ill love 3, and 4

Mr Nuttnfance, really i wish we could get tougether and do this some time!

pleace i´d love to become a TMP team mate!

  • TMP? its tnp..plz people

  • @AlexJonesSucksBalls Present your evidence.

  • "People are saying you block and have left negative comments on peoples' pages just for giving you CONSTRUCTIVE criticism?" People aren't saying it, the hyenas are. It's total fantasy and they are trying to re-invent their histories and act holier-than-thou. Not that we're perfect in it but Verilioness blocks when vulgarity, rampant AEism (lots of criticism and no vids), and genuine jackass behavior is blocked, just like in any Forum. I posted on this in my Channel comments this week.

  • lets see sum examples then

  • AlexJonesSucksBalls is prepper1987 (aka MsNutnfancy aka SonyTube12345 aka TacticalPoodle10 and several others) in another one of his ghost accounts. He is an insecure and conflicted young man, and completely obsessed with Nutn. -- Veri

  • Damn I blow so much time watching your vids.

  • yep my dad used to live in texas and him and his budds used to go hog hunting with nothing but stuff for surviving for a week and blades for hunting

  • haha i like when you joke about the tape around your scrodem you both dont laugh haha

  • Says a real expert. Cut the crap, will you?

  • Yes dude down here in Texas, boar hunting is my FAVORITE. Rascals runnin' around snortin' at you after you get a shot. Great fun! This video is absolutely gorgeous as well.

  • Here in Serbia we have a strict weapon carry and transport policy. Even if you're a licensed hunter, you need a party of three. Stupid! I'm not out there to hunt, weapon is just for self defense and it's a part that makes the big picture of the outdoors adventure come to life.

Keep it going, Nutn! I enjoy your videos.

  • epic burp. hilarious

  • awesome videos, thank you! great scenery, where is that anyway?

  • @mspissuoff Why would you even bother posting here? Seriously?

  • mspiffuoff - you're done trolling here. Run along to more important work. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • At the 32:18 mark I lost it.

    Bwa ha ha ha!!!!

    Very nice Nutnfancy!

  • Snow shoes, telemark skis? When I lived in Switzerland I just took the gondola car to the top of the mountain :P hehehehe :) Love these vids BTW.

  • John, I'm riding with you..I'll bring the hot chocolate. ;) -- Veri

  • Veri, or Nutn, please tell me the cam used for this video. I need one ASAP for Christmas. It would really mean a lot. You guys rock. This music makes me FEEL the "Spirit" of the trip. Perfect. Thank you!

    ~Kev~

  • OOPS, please scratch that, I found an incredible deal on a great cam on Ebay that night! Keep up the incredible work!

    ~Kev~

  • Divinity, thanks so much for that. I will pass that compliment along to Nutn because he really puts a lot of thought into matching the music with the atmosphere of the video. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • (Trompetsound) part 4 almost there BE PATIENT ,Yo Yetti where are you now ?? Put it back

  • Gulden, are you psychic or something? I swear you are! -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • Oh! I thougt you ment SKYES!! NOT the skiing dings dude.

  • wheres part 4????????

  • Dam thats a good dog.

  • I read about a cougar attack and a dude stabbed a cougar in the throat with what looked like a buck 112 knife.

  • We would love to see a video with the man that hunts wild boar, that would be AWESOME !! If not possible put a picture of him in his cloth and spear. For snowhiking I use NEOS overshoes, they work verywell, warm and very good isolated. When we were hiking many months back, somebody shouted he found big tracks, and was suprised that there was a Bigfoot, somebody replied that it was Gulden, trying out his NEOS. Yes, i have big feet .L.O.L. Cougars, beautiful, but deadly, great hunter

  • LOL@Gulden sightings..you big Yeti. =) -- Veri

  • Glad i finally found the time to watch part 2,i have to admit these vids you have watch again and again and everytime you see something new. The secret squirell service kept allie on her guard. Fantastic scenery and there are a lot of these places. Great review on knives,so the NITECORE,would be very usefull in the military forces, spread the word fellow TNP' ers. Important are the good memories that you make by taking pictures or filming. When your memory fades away when you are old. Enjoy life.

  • ah sitting here watching someone else hike when i live in Alaska...i'm sad.

  • really sucks we dont have this freedom or even the space for this in de netherlands..

  • I'm form Holland too!

    Yeah i't really sucks!

  • campfire is called: pyromania

Getting your own food is called, pouching

    campsite is wildcamping,

even have to worry about wild peeing.

    ...

need a vacation in the western US...

  • Alaska or Idaho, those are two place I know are amazing. (Idaho = Rockies, Alaska = Everything there)

  • man i love your dog

  • Nutnfancy, I don't know where you find the music for your videos, but it's always awesome. The music in this vid beautiful.

I watched some of your vids last Friday, and I've been whistling Blue Jeans ever since.

  • bg - I know exactly what you mean, that Blue Jeans song got in my head for DAYS..I love it though. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • Sorry. I should have said, "Nutnfancy and Veri,..." 'cause I know you answer a lot of the comments.

  • Regarding the P3AT... and your determination that its not needed.

I bet you must think I'm a moron for wanting to hike with a full blown AR15, and Lightweight LBE =)

  • @PatriotAr15 hey thats what i use, along with an ALICE pack...

  • Dude, I can't find the Recon Scout anywhere!

  • I think the Cold Steel Recon Scout is about the best knife there is when it comes to a fighting knife that can be used for just about any other purpose as well.

Unless the job dictates it, it wouldn't be an EDC knife for me but if I were to have to wear it daily, it would be the next best thing to being the perfect survival tool.

  • I have that same adventure medical bivy , its pretty nice, im happy with it and its pretty easy to pack back into that bag

  • 2 weeks from now, I am spending 5 days out in the field in the army here in Norway. Gonna be cold, but the army here is very professional with cold weather. We even have "norwegian school of winter", where even american marines have come to learn too. I've have some lectures too.

Extremely simple stuff like a cloth brush in winter, can make your trip be comfortable instead of hell. (for taking off snow before you go into warm tent. Dry = warm)

  • It's better burp and taste than fart and waste it. Good job on the vid nutn.

  • Haha... The old Rock in pack trick. I was on a climbing expedition with 4 friends and one of them put rocks in all of our packs. We were like "what the heck man, are packs seem freaking crazy heavy. Haha.. yep a few rocks will weigh you down.

  • u should get a helmet mounted camara

  • no way. that thing would be shaking worse than it was when he was holding it.

  • 45degrees?!?!?!?!

  • ....No Gurkha in the knife line-up?

  • awesome vid

  • another great video thank you nutn and bugget

  • Who dare gave this video less than a 5 star rating. Shame on you.

  • Yeah, I don't understand that either. -- Veri

  • Nutn you are getting better and better in editing the videos... they are awesome...

damn i am anxious to see the third part !!!

    GREAT JOB !!!!

  • Love the outdoor vids man!

  • the dog is trained to use them blades for self defence also

  • Wheres lake mead?

  • Top, in every respect! Your motivation for doing this comes out loud and clear in a entertaining and relaxed manner. Very much worth watching...again.

  • Great video , always a pleasure to watch and learn .

  • DUDE! Nutn, your video editing skills impress me everytime. The music you use... makes me feel like I'm in a movie and there with y'all. Keep it up! TNP!!!!!!!!!

  • hey Nutn ever think of like a helmit cam? or maybe just duct tapeing the one you got onto a shoulder strap? might help for the hiking and filming aspect.

  • itd b good if u could get the gear up there, high alt and low oxygen level would get the heart rate up nice and fast for a run n gun

  • Jealous

  • another fantastic video nutn!

  • Your outdooring vids always make me want to get up and go out! I just might have to plan a camping trip around spring and have fun in the outdoors. I love camping!

  • Hey nutn', I really appreciate you making these vids for us. My dad is Marine and also grew up on a farm, so he really loves going camping, etc. Life got in the way, so he could only give us memorable camping trips literally a handful during our childhood. They were some of the best times I ever had. I have my own family now, and I want to do that for them. Thanks for showing where you go, what you do, and how you do it.

  • 25:10

    the "Pocket Rocket"

Great little stove. I personally own the "Superfly," and this "Pocket Rocket." Generally I prefer the "Superfly," because it provides more surface area in which to support your bowl or backpacking pot on, without adding considerable weight

Nevertheless: great stove and great vid!

  • Nutn'

I"ve just spent most of my evening watching High Skies....thanks so much for making the series. It's true, your editing is starting to produce some really good results. Good Stuff!! How 'bout some pocket holster options for the flood of .380 pistols now available.

  • i love your little sentence on life nutn. youre very...well,awesome!

  • thats how good friends roll brother

  • ..Nice video....I'd keep that pistol handy...sure looked like cougar country to me.

  • Is a .380 really going to deter a cougar? That's a pretty big cat, dude.

  • Its meant to scar cougars off.

  • Should do the .380 does alot more damage than you'd think especially at close range -a cougar isn't going to stick around if you wound it, especially with the bang and it's more than capable of killing a cougar outright if you get lucky.

A powerful animal, yes... but a Tiger it ain't!

  • ...I would say the .380 would be more than adequete for cougar, probably punch a hole right threw and out the other side.

  • I don't know about that. They can get up to (and over) 200 pounds, so they are pretty big. A .380 will definately make them think twice about attacking you though (have a decent chance of killing it as well too depending on load and where it's hit obviously)

  • ....Hand gun defence is more about the person than the gun choice I think. It's fun to debate the attributes of all the various calibers and frames, but being confident and competant with your choice is 9/10th of the equation. My preference would be a J-frame Smith, in .38/.357 ...it's like picking a car....most will get you to the same place. lol

  • Yeah, I know lol.

Shot placement is key and my feeling is, that as long as you hit your target, you're going to make them think again about messing with you (even if you miss them, the shock value of being shot at is an excellent deterent unless they start shooting back-in which case you want the round to hit it's mark fast)

  • i rather have a p226 with an20 round mag

    and my italian stiletto

  • ..Nice pistol.....kinda heavy for backpacking though....if I was headed to the combat zone, that would be my first choice.

  • Hey Nutn',

Your production vids are getting to be top knoch, as good as any "Survivor Man" style shows I've seen on TV. I told you before how these 40+ minute eposides would make great 1 hour PBS/Discovery TV shows, and I would like to think that maybe even in a little way with that being said has led you to keep making these extremely time consuming, awesome videos.

  • MSR Denali snow shoes are the best for any terrain. THe have spikes and excellent hill traction. They last for ever too.

  • nutnfancy ,what a beautiful place to be in ,a place away from hustle -n-bustle, folks rushing around all over the place, driving fast , stressed out

a place w/ fresh air ,a place a man can think, alone and uninterrupted, i envy you in this moment, got to find this peaceful moment for myself.....

great vid, and well done, Sir

  • Thanks Nutnfancy for all your time. I recommend you to everyone I talk with
