He was random drug tested at work. He was a crane operator. Plus DCF left the boy with him over the mother after drug testing them both. Besides he faught for custody to get his kids. If you said the mother offered her up, or Misty, I would say maybe but everyone even the mother who hates him says this child was "his heart"- which of course could mean someone wanted to hurt him- leading us back to Misty and her family - where law enforcement is also focused.

From what understand Crystal did not have anything against Misty till Haleigh went missing. But it seems she hated the father for a very long time. I would lean toward Misty, being involved or just doing something stupid and allowing this to happen. The number one suspect should have been the mother and her side of the family so I would think Law Enforcement ruled that out. Yes, they are both drug addicts. Also, Mistys brother is a crack addict.
