@BellalyseRulz Not really. Considering despite the fact she was indeed noble and brave when it came down to it- and that she was very independent- she wasn't really a true warrior princess. A warrior princess fights during wars and such. Pocahontas, does not. Still, she is an admirable character :)

@anaheimrocker maybe in some way it represents that these girls without their mothers are having to live up and fight against (mainly) men's expectations of them? Even when mom's are available, the father figure seems to be stronger. Of course either way they always end up falling for the guy in the end, but i'll take that as a positive message saying you can be strong and independent, all the while being and showing a loving spirit as well. That or I just look waaaaay into these movies xD

My least favorite thing about these Disney songs. They're all sung by girls D: Now, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with that, it's just that I'm a guy and I can't possibly sing along to those beautiful high notes ;.;

The way the vocal rhythm complements the time sequencing here is really quite masterful. I love the way she says "but people I guess can't live like that" among other lines, it's like her words are jumping over the music. This is quite a complex little number and it must have been damn hard to write.
