I actually agree with you that he has the best set of qualifications among the candidates in this election. However, the most ideal candidate doesn't necessarily mean the best candidate for the position. Let me explain what I mean.
Part 3 Gibo's main problem (or baggage) is that he remains (and will always be) in the shadow of PGMA. If he wins, we lose all chances of bringing Mrs Arroyo to justice which also means we deny ourselves the justice that we deserve. I can not and will never forgive her for stealing the presidency and then lying to our faces. She single-handedly silenced the voices of millions of Filipinos and, that in itself, was death to our democracy. She should be made accountable for that.
Part 4 And what about all the wheelings and dealings of her husband and son, the last one being so ludricous that the First Son actually thinks that the Filipinos would be stupid enough to buy the idea that he could sneak his way into Congress by representing (of all people) the security guards in the Philippines.

Starweek magazine of the Philippine Star just gave Noynoy a one shot interview, and Inquirer is criticizing Villar. To add: Simply put there is a lot of media bias going around these days as media and journalism seems to be favoring one particular candidate in the elections, in reference to my previous examples. The media's job is about giving the people the option to choose. Instead, they treat this as a cock fight. Let me put it this way: Socialism is left, Communism is EXTREME FAR LEFT. In a way, Communism IS a ruling class of the elite. Ironically, it's supposed to be a philosophy that everyone is equal, but the elites here is a dictator and party which controls it. Simply put its an oligarchy but the the philosophy is about ABSOLUTE EQUALITY of the masses. You're just another cog in a machine in a Communist State.

Good point about abs-cbn. Actually nowadays, I observe that the people in the media are not observing any middle ground when it comes to presenting the elections. Starweek magazine of the Philippine Star just gave Noynoy a one shot interview, and Inquirer is criticizing Villar. I guess the media is Liberally run like the Democrats in the States using Hollywood actors to "pledge for Obama," which is why lots Obama's critics compare his popularity with Hitler.

To add: Simply put there is a lot of media bias going around these days as media and journalism seems to be favoring one particular candidate in the elections, in reference to my previous examples. The media's job is about giving the people the option to choose. Instead, they treat this as a cock fight. As for Hegemony, it may happen, it happened before with Marcos but as a dictator, our economy was stable unlike the Cory admin. But of course having a dictator isn't a good thing.
