Hi miniroll32, I'm sorry to contradict you but this documentary was also available on the Laserdisc version at least on the PAL one. It says on the back of my LD there is a 26 minute documentary on the making of Toy Story,But it definitely wasn't on the original 1996 VHS of Toy Story, both UK and US. I'm from England by the way. Thank you for listening.
@zimshowfan Low tech? Toy Story 3 came out not very long ago and it looked the same. I idon't see how one can say Toy Story is low tech, even in the year 2011. It's still amazing looking.
@Sallyallie89 DUDE! If you compare the animation difference between Toy Story and Toy Story 3, you'd see a TON of technical advances! Pixar has advanced FAR past Toy Story, man!
@zimshowfan I'm a girl, not a man lol. But I'll look at the differences again. I still say all 3 movies have amazing graphics though. It's not like the old King Kong vs. the newest King Kong movie, if you get what I mean haha. Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 3 look almost equally amazing with their graphics.
@Sallyallie89 I don't think so. I've you've actually looked at both films (in ALL aspects) and STILL don't see the difference, then I don't know what to tell you. The animation difference between TS and TS3 is so plain that even the dumbest person I know can point it out.
That's like saying that the animation on something like Hoodwinked is equivalent to Shrek! You might think so if you haven't paid ANY attention to the animation, but when you actually DO, the difference in quality is obvious.
@zimshowfan In my second comment I just said they all look amazing, not that they all look the same. i believe you. I just haven't seen Toy Story 3 since the theater.
@zimshowfan It's alright. No worries =) ... I thought Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending to a great trilogy. I grew up with Toy Story. I saw the first movie when I was only 5 years old, then I saw the final film at the age of 21 as a college student, so for me that worked out perfect because I literally grew up with the films. I did tear up at the end of the film because it reminded me of my childhood and how I can never go back to it like Andy. It's sad, but perfect. I loved the movie =)
Thumbs up if you're Buzz toy doesn't work anymore.

LOL. Nowadays, this is would be considered very low-tech compared to the look of Pixar's animation today.

Few things-
1. For the last time, TRON is NOT in a video game!! It's in a mainframe.
2. This doc is a goldmine for animation fans, it opens my perspective for voice work and animation technique.
