if you do that, then the enemy only has to take out 1 or 2 powerplants to cut your power. If you don't, the enemy has to take out 4 or 5

Yeh but then if you do that then there are power plants everywhere - sometimes you don't have enough space in your base to do that.

So, this is the Hard AI in the PC version? On the 360 version, the Medium AI alone will beat your ass into the ground worse than this!

Yeah. on the one hand, it gives you one heck of a challenge, while on the other, its a major jump between Easy and Medium. On Easy you're owning the AI pretty well, while on Medium its like a giant gorilla ninja flipping out of nowhere and ramming it up your ass.
