  • Very nice build! It didn't look like much when he started on it!

  • Aaaah Peter!!! I love bikes, but can't ride them myself, so it has to be with a friend... just 10% of my sight and bad balance :)

And that button!!! The first time I saw one of those, I got curious and felt it and then pressed it... that darn thing is so loud I jumped! hehe!

  • i,ve seen better vids from this guy. thats for sure. that was easy? anyway, i guess i,ll go check out another of geriatric's vids

  • Cool : )

  • THAT WAS EASY!

  • Wow Peter,

There's only one iron ;) I never got any further than that on my bike. Have you seen this wonderful film that a friend of mine sent me out to buy about an Irish lottery ticket ? I can't remember the name, as we take all our DVD's out oo, of their boxes, so it probably won't have a name on the VCD. I just have this wonderful image of Speedy Gonzales ( as my bro used to call my mum on her bike ;) .. There are some lovely biker films about self discovery and all pulling together.

  • It's no greaves Peter!!!!

  • SWEET SOUND

  • Ha ha ha...you funny old bugger. A weird, random but funny ending to a video. Great!

    Melody

  • an xr wtf do u no any thing bout bikes it was ae 2stroke

  • Is that an XR? My friend George has one which is legendary around London - it's called 'The Riot'. Infamous bike!

  • It clearly, clearly says "CR" on the shrouds.

  • Very cool sound! Nothing cooler than the start of an engine. Wonderful video!

  • great job!

  • hahaha you're such a legend for having an Easy Button!! That's not the only reason why you're legendary by the way ;)

  • lol that was easy

  • No you lost it. It doesn't read right. The mistake you made is that the third line is about 7 sylables too long.

You could have gotten away with:

    This video is boring.

    or

    Peter is boring.

However both would be wrong, Peter rocks.

Pouring with a "u" and no capital on raining, as it's not a name or place...other than that not a bad effort, but a D minus I'm afraid.

  • You must be so proud! ^_^

  • Yeah we need grand daddys and a spark and so there we are realy!

  • You really are the coolest Grandad on the planet, keep it up, gonna suscribe to the pearls of wisdom. Thanks

  • Very cool.

  • i had a little simson my own. and that was so cool. love, jules

  • said it before and I'll say it again...you are a very cool Grandad!

    take care, shannon

  • Nice one Peter's Grandson!!! :D

  • ROFL!! Awesome!! (love the ending!)

  • That Was Easy !

  • Peter: Those sounds of the 2 cycles sure bring back memories. I had an old 250cc Zuendap when I was 14 and drove it illegally with my cap over the license plate. The darned thing liked to catch on fire. Peter, you should get on it anyway, just for the heck of it. Go on.

  • nice

  • I rebuilt moped engines. I bought a few that were on not running and simply went in and cleaned the whole engine piece by piece. the gaskets on those small engines last forever, so need need to open up further. All but one were electric start. I was in an environmental activists mood, searching for one-person, cheap transport. That was a few years ago and people laughed at me driving them around. Now people are riding them all over the place in the U.S.

  • lets see you have a ride granddad ;)

  • What a great thrill that your skill and enthusiasm has passed on down through the generations! What a sweet sound that made when the bike started!

  • Haha the easy button was hilarious.

I also think your description in the sidebar is interesting because in my experience it is the older people who don't like to be on camera.

  • Thanks for the update! It must be so nice to have a shared interest with your grandson. :) My grandmother and I both enjoy cooking, but unfortunately she has succumbed to dementia, so we can't have these kinds of talks or shared experiences. You and your grandson are very lucky to have this time together.

  • Grandchildren are wonderful aren't they? Keep telling them the stories of your youth. I hope they save your videos on discs. Take care, and thanks for the nice vids.

  • great bike.. keep up the vids :D

  • thanks for sharing

  • should've hopped on it man.

  • I'd love to see you ride that Peter!

  • You look quite at home leaning up against that bike Peter. I'm glad you and your grandson have motorcycles in common amongst other things I'm sure.

  • Awesome.

  • wow u r a genius love your videos and keep it up. loved the ending by the way hahahaha my younger brother just got a CR-80 2 stroke and man that thing is quick.

    Best of luck!

  • Nice to see, what a great grandad you are!!!

  • COOL

  • Well, my dear Peter, it is still very, very evident where your heart lies....

Good it stays in the family.

  • that is a engine as work perfect.

  • The question "And did it start?" was exactly what I was thinking about while you were describing what had be done to remodel the bike.

I can't imagine that an engine would ever start again after it had the unlucky experience of being de-assembled and re-assembled by yours truly. I guess its days as an engine per se would be over after that, and you would want to simply call it a "COM" - a "Chunk Of Metal" :-)!

Great job your grandson did on the bike, respect and congratulations on that!

  • Scott must be a little camera shy, eh? Well, the bike sounds wonderful.

  • Wish I could ride a motorbike. My parents think i'll die though!

  • Sounds like a sweet running machine. Next step is to take it out in the field for a wheelie session. :-)

    Moosie

  • Great video, like always. You're an awesome grandpa, your grandson is lucky!

Easy Button made me laugh! :D

  • very nice, you look great Grandad Peter!

  • Nice video.

I liked how you struggled to get the 'Easy' button mid-screen. BTW, who was that old geezer with his untidy hair hiding behind it. LOL.

    Respect, keep up the vlogging.

  • Nice bike!

haha I really liked that easy button part at the end! that was funny.

  • Nice bike!!

  • I so wanted to see you hop on for a ride. Bike sounds good he must have had a helluva teacher.

  • Good work on fixing up the bike.

  • SWEEEET!!! I WANT ONE :D

  • Love the easy button. Bike looks good too. Sound just like a Honda.

  • I think I would need leg extensions to sit on that!

I used to love riding my motorbike but I hated it when I got cramp in my legs, I must have been doing it wrong, I think I'm retired from ever riding again, R.I.P. biker days.

  • I've never been fascinated by motorbikes, to be honest. But it's always cosy and nice to see and listen to your videos, so... Yes, I like the button in the end.

  • Good video

  • That's a fancy looking motorcycle.

  • thats great, i bet your very proud!

  • You look so young, hanging over a bike, talking about your passion....!

  • Sounds and looks good Grandad!

  • It's been a while granddad1927 :)

So just a random question i guess.

Did you teach a lot of the mechanical stuff to the younger blokes in your family or was the passion for bikes just passed on and they picked up themselves? You obviously know what your talking about :)

Hear you were pretty good back in the day :p

  • doesn't look like that apple fell far from the tree... congratz to scott on that lovely sounding motor bike and always nice to see you again grand dad.

  • Ring-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!!!!

    :o))

  • hi, Peter,

better not use 16:9 letterbox on YouTube,

or you have to make sure it'll show up properly, lol

  • Well, sir. You know your bikes. :)

  • 9th. Nice bike. Good Job.

  • Awesome! You look so thrilled to be inspecting your grandson's bike. I can tell you're an enthusiast! Cheers. :)

  • nice bike

  • lol that was awsome!

  • nice one! :D

  • great one peter

  • third

  • My husband agrees, saying you're quite right about that first starting sound. Looks like a lot of work!

    ~Kat

  • second

  • first

  • Good to see that the bike is up and running. =D

  • nice video - and well done to your (camera shy) grandson!

  • WOW very nice transofrmation, how long did it take?

  • :-)
