The web site "thewaltons flyingdreams" explains a few of the continuity problems with the movies. The fact the movies were made on two different networks might explain some of the errors. Ben and Cindy did have a son when the Mother's Day movie aired on another network then this movie aired. It is also not explained how Mary Ellen can have 2 children with Jonsey when the fact she could not have any more was such a huge part of the Mother's Day movie plot.
@OneSmartKitty Ben's wife is Cindy, not Amy. Amy is Corabeth and Ike's daughter. And I thought that Ben and Cindy had a son, Charlie as well. And what happened to John Curtis, Mary Ellen's oldest? The writers should have at least explained where these missing grandkids were....
the talk between cindy and ben just breaks my heart; especially knowing that there are so many people that would be wonderful parents and so many children that deserve them
