re. in the uk here, up until recently you could get govt funding to study a 3-4 year degree. (only reason i could afford one)

Sanskrit and its associated Traditions and Literature is a vast subject, requiring for most people a substantial investment in time and effort to learn. That having been said, this video does not excite me.
Note his recital did not include much in the way of Sanskrit phonetics or meter, as I would have expected from such an expert.
"Artificial" in the sense Panini's rules became the default benchmark standard.
Vedic Aryan and later Brahmanic concepts are co-mingled here...apples and oranges.
