He's playing a Paris Selmer Mark VI, I'm born and raised in Brooklyn NY and there many great musicians in NYC.
There was an 11 year asian girl playing violin on the corner of 5th Ave and 42nd St. with her mother sitting there next to her right her, next to the library and someone stuck in traffic was listening to her performance and week later, this little girl was playing in Carnegie Hall, right place, right time .....
All the best and thanks for posting this clip .... Peace~

Anyone recognize the song? It is "All of Me" and I think anyone playing in the freezing cold, must be putting "All of Me" out there! Just saying! (The latest "buzz" phrase) He is playing on an Otto Link Jazz mouthpiece (probably a "New York" Link). Looks like he is playing an old Conn Tenor. What do you observe? Why would someone do this? Makes you wonder. Expression is a good thing! Nice Jazz sound!
@2259269587 Hey, thanks for your comment. I wish I could give all this positive feedback to the artist, but I was just visiting NYC. Thanks a lot, man!
Let me tell you guys something about musicians like this on the streets of NY, of which I am native born. They ARE pros! These are people that do gigs at night, open mics where they sit in, and so studio work as well. Every little bit helps and that's free advertising he's doing plus making tips.
I miss my tenor so much!! :( I had to sell it to pay rent about 8 years ago and couldn't get it back... worst dec of my life. I regret it every day.
So impressed he could play that well with gloves on. Even if they're thin, they still affect how you can feel the keys and the sax responding to your fingers. Great upload...
I sure hope that everyone who took photos and video of him at the very least put a bill in the mans case. Its nice to marvel at him but its even better to pay him for his efforts. Nice video.
i live in london i'm 16 and i've been playing sax for a year, but i would love to play saxophone in central park at least once in my life, the atmosphere looks great.
Kenny G doesn't play jazz, nor does he claim to. He is, however, the highest paid saxophonist ever. So, he must be doing something right. Jazz couldn't make him any money, although his old jazz stuff is pretty good. He used to play tenor. He inspired me to pick up a sax. He is a legend.
man, i don't see how he can play in that cold weather. i hope that heifer did give him some money. who knows, she might have layed him later that night.
ya if u take his pic u should at least put some money in his case. man he is good. to me some of the people on the streets play just as good as pros do.

It's hard to play in the cold, and harder with full gloves on. I couldn't do it.
