  • Remember kids, say "NO" to drugs, Whitney didn't & now she's dead.

  • RIP Gary Carter

  • hey isn't that Doc in the back snorting a line??? "ohhh you guyss!!!""

  • Not cool "anymore?" So I'm guessing in his day he's done plenty. :P

  • anymore..

  • Gary looks like he was on drugs. I know the hall of fame was on something when he got in. Fuck Gary Carter

  • "its not cool anymore"... implying its definitely cool at some point lol

  • @greytiger exactly. It was cool on saturday but now its a work day

  • That wasn't a commercial. That was Gary talking to his teammates.

  • imagine a team behaving that badass today....i can hear the mothers crying already

  • Gary, with all do respect to you, a New York hero, I believe that Jeffrey W. was on drugs when he signed away to the contractor, the stadium where YOU began the rally of a generation that October day many years ago

  • haha

but also i like how twitchy he looks when he says it.

  • True, even respectable Ron Darling was a liability in Game 7 before Sid saved his ass. Dr K pitched good vs Scott in G1 NLCS,& great vs Ryan G5 NLCS but fell flat on his face in must win world series game 2 at Shea, & road game 5. Before he went to rehab I saw him at new store opening in NJ right after the '86 World Series.A boy in '84 I remember Gooden nearly throwing no-hitter v.Cubs Official scorer awarded Keith Moreland a hit rather than truthfully giving "E5" cost Dr K. making Mets history.

  • Hey Gary, if you would have enforced this lecture on Dwight Gooden during the 1986 camapign, you may not have had to save his behind in the tenth inning of game 6, as the doctor would have earned a split with Boston in the opening two games at Shea. In the end the '86 World Series made for great drama. But you guys, even though the favorites, got very lucky, no thanks to DOCTOR cracKKKKK.

  • Doc helped the Mets get there with his unbelievable performances in the NLCS. It's easy to bash the guy for his personal faults, but you can't deny his dominance.

  • but its cool for my rightfielder and ace pitcher to do!

  • haha its not cool ANYMORE

  • thats right, for those how are killin' themselves with drugs

  • gary carter is my hero. if he says drugs were cool at one point im gonna keep taking them. things come back around. the 80s are hot again now. im gonna stick with the drugs cause i dont wanna stop and then its cool again and im fucked.

  • i find it really fucking cool

  • Gary's right about drugs messing up your life. But that comment about it's not cool anymore does sound kind of strange. I did not know it ever was cool.

  • not cool anymore, but super cool 15 minutes ago.

  • That entire Mets team does not have a right to even talk.

  • Kids, take it from the '86 Mets, if someone tries to sell you drugs, just say maybe.

  • So wait. Drugs WERE cool?

  • well him and mookie were the only clean mets that year(iformation from the bad guys won) great book by the way

  • Very true. Which is one of the reason the Mets organization got rid of the 86 team

  • That first chapter of that book (after they won the NLCS and on the airplane) is one of the craziest stories of debauchery i've ever read.

  • Unlike when he was a kid, and it was practically mandatory.

  • "its not cool anymore" ?????

  • hahaha this at the Vet, what a shithole that was

  • ...so the implication is that once upon a time it was cool? In a, back in 1926 Hopkirks pharmacy's used to sell cocaine kinda way, or crack was hip in 1982 but in '86 it's fucked my batting average.

  • Well, doing this anti-drug commercial didn't help his baseball career, clearly.

  • he only made the baseball hall of fame

  • Along with about a hundred others. No one cares.

  • Nice try. less than 2 percent of all that have ever played in the Major leagues have made the Hall Of Fame.

  • I was joking dude. Chill.

  • ok.

  • i think he means "once u take drugs u think its cool, but once it messes up ur life u realize its not cool" lol
