@THANATOS112220 If you're a first time fan of t he series, I suggest playing the first game first because you would enjoy it more. As for me, I played it more than once. Just because it's a rail on shooter doesn't mean anything because even if it isn't scary, the game's still fun and playable because the story is the best in the series IMO.
So, I got this game a month or two ago but I haven't played it in a few weeks. I got it because everyone was telling me how scary dead space was, but I didn't find it frightening at all. Is Extraction just not a scary game, or does it get scarier later on in the story?
@Sekiath I don't think it's suppose to scare you. Just lets you know a different perspective of how it all started. the one for wii has another prequel in a comic video format. also the animated movie dead space downfall. It's just letting know another story behind the game. Dead Space 1 and 2 are the ones that'll scare you.

A good game is who has good history, game play, music, art, and eventually those games are almost always on nintendo consoles. DS2 rulez, i was curious as to how the Extraction game looked that i also got with my edition. Looks really fun! @KozMick special edition on the xbox does come with extraction and it might not seem like it but 2 discs is better... heres how... my bro wants to play dead space 2 and i want to play dead space 2 online... i give him disc 1 so he can play, and i play online with disc 2 when he gets to the point where he needs disc 2... we'll switch... there better already

For all those PS3 users dead space extraction is coming out on PS3 move! If you buy Dead Space 2 the collectors edition dead space extraction for move will be in the pack.
@LaDySaLLyMoRt like, the imagery in parts is absolutely unforgettable. Not in a scary sense, more like... Tragic. Still haunting though. And the parts with the weird pink meat-lump-men are actually pretty freaky. Especially if you're dumb enough to try hiding from them... Watching them walk past your hiding spot, muttering to themselves... Then they bust it open and you FREAK. OUT.
@Chaostos dude... no. try actually fucking playing it first, the visuals are actually almost as good as the original Dead Space's (why they didn't ever try porting the original to Wii too is beyond me, considering how well RE4 sold- with a little advertising a port of Dead Space on Wii would sell like crazy).
I don´t care what Dead Space will come out for next.. it failed to scare me second time i finished it.. i still play it for fun but not one of them scare me... its just bang bang dead... again..
I don’t understand why some people are complaining, for a great game franchise the developers need to experiment al little. A rail shooter for the wii was an interesting choice and the game turned out very well. They managed to take the game to another console without changing the formula and included a great story line to a (rail shooter)?! It’s hard to find a great rail shooter out there with a decent story line besides house of the dead and god knows what.
Dead Space was the best game ever made that is based in space. Even Doom was not that interesting compared to this. Its great that in Dead Space, you can see everything outside the ship. Whereas, in Doom your ass is always indoors :(
@AlexanderBorup not sure why you're considering the sequel for the 360, but if you still have a PS3 then you should know that the PS3 version of Dead Space 2 comes with Extraction and uses the PlayStation Move. I don't know if it requires Move though... sorry. Probably does, which would make owning it pointless if you don't have Move. Hope I helped with your decision. : )
@AlexanderBorup The PS3 version has exclusive content that the 360 version does not. If you have both systems, why get the version with less content? Get the PS3 version...more content for the same price.

rail shooters on consoles are very odd. only bought this because the wii was collecting dust and i felt i needed to get some more use out of it. not a bad game, just weird playing a rail shooter at home and not the arcade where it should be

But this would not work with any other consoles but Wii and Playstation 3 Move. It looks like it would make a great arcade machine though...
For a rail shooter this was pretty good. Fits in perfectly with the actual Dead Space game. The unlockable extras has the motion comic as well. And yet between the two games, the motion comic and the anime movie, we still don't know where the Marker comes from, lol.

@kelseylaraby nope. Deadspace extraction is a pretty cool game though. My gf got it for me as a present and it's amazing. They give the player just enough control over their character to keep the game entertaining

@superdarkhypersonic1 This would suck on Xbox. Come on, analog sticks for arcade shooter aiming? No thanks. Dead Space worked great on Xbox, and Dead Space 2 will be even better. But this would not work with any other consoles but Wii and Playstation 3 Move. It looks like it would make a great arcade machine though...

For a rail shooter this was pretty good. Fits in perfectly with the actual Dead Space game. The unlockable extras has the motion comic as well. And yet between the two games, the motion comic and the anime movie, we still don't know where the Marker comes from, lol.

@kelseylaraby nope. Deadspace extraction is a pretty cool game though. My gf got it for me as a present and it's amazing. They give the player just enough control over their character to keep the game entertaining

@Goldenwolf4 you can have the game for PS3 just pre-order dead space 2 for the PS3 at gamestop and u get the limited edition which comes with dead space extraction for the Ps3 and it only cost the regular amount like if u were byeing the regular version
