  • Adding to my Christmas list as we speak...

  • This is now one of my favorite songs;

rest in peace, Andy, we love you, we miss you <3

  • 3:04 to 3:36 has gotta be my favorite part for some reason.

  • some of the guitar in the beginning soulnds like the intro alive by pearl jam

  • @GrungeyRob16 after the death of Andrew Wood a month b4 this album was to be released Chris Cornell then of Soundgarden wrote a series of songs while grieving the death of his best friend. he formed a band named Temple of the Dog to record those songs featuring former members of MLB (Gossard and Ament) and others including Mike Mcready and Eddie Vedder. after the release of the TOTD album Cornell returned to Soundgarden. the remaining members hired a drummer and changed their name to Pearl Jam

  • @69sjenks i knew that lol they just sound a little similar, the riff sounds awesome in both songs

  • I dunno If Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog, and the Alice In Chains song Would? were justifiable trade offs for having this band break up due to the death of Andrew Wood.

  • I love the album it is amazing

  • hell yeah!!1

  • Andrew was the shit!!!! i'm giving you my heart shine!!! that is a cool lyric!!! abviousley he loved sharing music!!!!

  • Andrew was the shit!!!! i'm givin you my heartshine!!! that is a cool lyric!!! abviously he loved sharing music!!!!

  • First time i listened to MLB, i was like "eh, pretty good"

    Now i CANT STOP LISTENING

  • @MASproductionss Exact same story with me.

  • couldn't agree with you more adamski!

  • Awesome

  • such great stuff. Love it Love MLB, and love the respect Eddie Vedder still shows for them "Crown of Thorns", Reading Festival live-I nearly cry watching him sing that.

  • @MySoundGarden eddie blows andy

  • is this really the original artwork?

  • @Silvialikesmeat No the original artwork was slightly different (google Apple by Mother Love Bone) This artwork was on the reissue which includes the album Apple as well as their EP Shine!

  • @christianalexlea

i think mine looks like a sort of paper mache apple with the faces of the bandmembers.. or something like that?

  • @Silvialikesmeat Yeah thats the one(:

  • one of my favorite albums of that time.., that and soundgarden....

  • I subbed all the songs I've needed to find, you have em and in good quality

  • Sooo gooood!

  • one of the most underrated bands, period.

  • The opening drum intro to this song is kick ass

  • OK, quick everybody name the members and where they ended up in "grunge history" lol awesome post, thanks for the memories

  • (i hope you're not just kidding) Here we go:

Andy Wood: Heaven (Godfather of Grunge)

Stone Gossard & Jeff Ament: Pearl Jam

Bruce Fairweather: Love Battery and a bunch of one time Seattle projects.

Greg Gilmore: Honestly I have no idea lol

  • Gilmore can be found rocking in a violent way on 10 Minute Warning's 1998 self-titled SubPop release. If you missed 10MW live in '98, you really missed out!

  • Then there's also Temple of the Dog, which Stone and Jeff played in before forming Pearl Jam.

  • Also, the best "by product" of this band, I think.

  • If I could, I'd give you +30000.

"Greg Gilmore: Honestly I have no idea" lol x2

    Regards.

  • haha thanks!

  • most underrated band ever.....possibly

  • I would sell my soul to get some old MLB CDs.

  • you can still buy them.....order them through amazon,borders,barnes & nobles,ebay,etc.....

  • I never heard this band before today, they fucking WAIL man! Fuck yea this song kicks fucking ASS! MOTHER LOVE BONE IS MY NEW FAVE! Lovin it!

  • You are about 20 years too late my friend

  • idc, they are still amazing are they not???

  • doesn't matter how old they are, they still kick some major ass. infact most of the music i listen to is years old. most new stuff just doesn't compare

  • I agree, sir, I agree.

  • Tool is good too. Love'em

    new and old stuff...

    Tool rocks.

But this is MLB, so lest we speak of other bands.

    I love Mother love bone!
