It is hard not to get emotional everytime I see this. What a horrible and lonely feeling to have to say to your father why have you left me. But at the same time I am happy because He loved us so much and He has risen from death. Today we need Jesus more than ever. But one comfort is He is still with us untill the day we meet Him again. The "Son" title also given to others beside Jesus:
In John 3:16 Jesus was called God's only Begotten Son.
In Exodus 4:22 "Thus saith Jehovah, Israel is my son, even my firstborn." Israel was called God's First Son.
In Jeremiah 31:9 "I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn." Ephraim is God's First Son and First Born.
