Doubling the number does not give you the population structure of Taiji, either. Working population cannot get a job there, so they moved out of Taiji, living older population, hence the higher mortality rate. Taiji's ave lifespan was 77.7 yrs (male) and 85.3 (female) in 2005, which is slight less than the national average, but much longer than Aus.
