@MidgetPrawns well im i wouldnt say im pro but i have beaten the game 3 times. it is really hard when you first start but youll get better soon :P but for tips then i would say find a weapon you really like, like if you into heavy weapons then buy the bastered sword from the blacksmith but if your into fast weapons then use a schimitar and upgrade the crap outa it and once you find a weapon you like wether its fast or heavy then put stats on vit end and dex for the light weapon

Hmm... do you use a router? If so, trying pulling out the power cord and waiting like 30 seconds and then putting it back and seeing if it helps. Otherwise, no idea...

even without the magic the knights are easy. Just stay close keep your shield up roll away for the attacks that can't be blocked see what moves they make and counter

An easy way to beat the knights: Have A LOT of fire bombs (20-30). Get up somewhere the black knight can't get up, target him, then just span firebombs at him.

Mind you, it doesn't work too well without the merchant in the Undead burg....

You should get the sword, but you don't have to use it. Yes the sword makes the so easy that you only have to rely on one to two shots on an enemy so you are less conditioned to kill enemies with more hits.

NOTE: Learning when to use heavy attacks (R2 or Right Trigger) is probably the best strategy without having a weapon that doesn't start with 200 overall damage before upgrading.

I killed the merchant, and had no arrows, but got the drake sword because the blacksmith sells arrows.... so to get the drake sword you buy arrows, go back to drake, shoot drake, get drake sword.

@254327 If its xbox then right bumper when you move to the bck of the enemy will perform a backstab. Just make sure you lower your shield for a second or the bakstab doesnt seem to work.

When it comes to teh knight, i just deflect his attacks w/ a shield and give him a brisk two-chop w/ my battleaxe( or any other weapon). Back away and recharge, rinse and repeat, and down he goes.

Not to sound condescending, but you need to learn to roll. Blocking should be a last resort for against any melee character. You can lure enemies into open areas and literally just roll around them in a circle if you know how. Also, once you get proficient at it, then you can use your weapons two handed, which does considerably more damage.

The nights aren't that tough as soon as you get the hang of their moveset. I'm not even as far as you, but the first night in undead burg wasn't that tough. Just block his attack, and when he finished the combo, hit him with an R2 attack. Rinse and repeat until he's DEAD!!

lolol. Those knights are a piece of cake. It's stuff in the Forest and Sen's Foretress that annoy me. You should really two-hand the Uchi and learn to dodge/when to dodge a lot more. It's effectiveness comes from two-handing it, like all Katana's really.

@TheBootymeatking The plot is meant to be mysterious, but the basic idea once you get to the open world (escape from the asylum) is this: ring the two Bells of Awakening (One in the Parish high above, one in Blighttown down below) and you will discover (somehow or other) why the Undead exist/what purpose you all serve. Then the story becomes a bit clearer.
