I think we didn't know what we had when we had it. I've been a fan since 1979. They were never a big draw in those days-unfortunatley, many considered them too artsy and non-fun. They played to a small, loyal following. Now, they play for everyone who realized how good they always were. I could go on & on.... Check them out on MySpace, they have a very good page.
i never really put much thought into it. i kinda liked it better when i was listening to the Vs. lp in my heapphones knowing i was listening to way better music than any of my peers would probably even hear...could write it off as a "punk" gesture really... BUT SERIOUSLY, HOW COULD THEY HAVE MADE SUCH A HUGE IMPACT SO QUIETLY?!?! they were too good to be ignored, yet everyone did anyways. kept them pure though.
Cool...so 1) where the hell can I see this flick and 2) what happened to The Takers footage that was shot of rht efilm but most likely not used? I know the band was interviewed, that bass player they had, Baby Huey, who used to play with Prescott was interviewed, and their set at The Paradise night show were all filmed. I know that the film is about MoB, but...?
