So, they had a plausible reason, but I can see that as the only reason they didn't have two Kochanskis.

Season 8 was brilliant, its beyond me as to why everyone moaned about it. It was a perfect example of a show that had started low budget and progressed into its full glory.

The crew worked really well, it was excellent how the main characters just made a joke out of the whole ship.

Really pisses me off that people pick out petit flaws and diss what was actually a brilliant season, arguably the best.

From what I've heard from an interview by the guy who plays Kryten, it's all of the original cast members, there are (I think) 4 specials, one of them is a sort of "Making of" documentary though. 2 of them are one story split into 2 parts, and the 3rd is still a secret for some reason! (oooooh!) Also, nothing is confirmed, but if it goes down well, he said it could leave the door open for a new series...
